Rumour: More from the Media Summit?

I think the accounts of Metroid and Mario are the most realistic things on there. Mainly because they've already been confirmed or are just obvious. Everything else just sounds like bullshit.

Brawl with Wii controls? Bullshit, the most repeated bit of information they've given us is that the main game doesn't use motion controls in the main game.

Distaster looking better than the trailer? Bullshit, the trailer was FMV for God's sake.

M-09? Yeah, that's a mass market-friendly title.

FF7-style RPG? Bullshit. Nintendo don't make games they know they aren't good at, why make RPGs like that when Square are giving Wii full support?

Pennant Chase? Bullshit. He's just remembered some old, cancelled Gamecube game and is throwing it in there.

I would love the rumour to be true, i doubt it will be thou. None of it seems too far fetched to me (well maybe the part about downloadable content for metroid due to Wii's lack of HDD), the Zelda part is believable to me!

From Gametrailers.com Forums

(Originally posted on the ign forums.) Really?

Beacause your post over in NeoGAF said that it was originally posted HERE in the Gametrailers forums.

Or was it originally posted here and then spread over to NeoGAF Mr. Gallegher: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=158865.

The information that used to occupy this space was completely FALSE and misleading.

sneakymofo or should I say Gallegher from NeoGAF you are risking a perm ban.

Warned.

"My experience playing this game demonstrated that Wii is capable of graphics far superior to what has been seen to date, and vast improvements have been made over the original build for this title. You will finally say “wow” when you see this game."

lol bollocks it's the cube engine with a few new effects. Gameplay will be awesome but it doesn't make me say 'wow'.

Well his got one thing right!

Mario Galaxy WILL have a two-player mode, you'll see. Shigsy has been banging on about it for ages (he normally says 'i would like to incorporate two player mode) and will happen.

They've slightly hinted at that once last E3 (and that was because they were unsure of what to do with regards to Wii controls). They'll lose sales if they don't include Wii Controls - a lot of people won't want to buy an extra set of controllers fro one game. I for one wouldn't bother with it.

Distaster looking better than the trailer? Bullshit, the trailer was FMV for God's sake.

You've missed the rather bad-looking in-game footage, then.

The one thing that gives this away as bullshit is that he mentions a new Brawl character, then forgets to give a name. If he said a particular name it would make him look stupid afterwards if that character wasn't in it, so he's just "forgotten" too.

He managed to make it sound pretty convincing, then went and ruined it by doing this:

The final piece of information however was for most of the press the most exciting of all. A final video was shown that left everyone buzzing with excitement.

Sentences flashed across a black screen and faded…

I don’t remember them all or exactly, but they were similar to what I will provide below:

The greatest adventure in gaming

Lands of epic proportions

A hero for all time

A love to die for…

Link then appears screaming for a very brief second before the screen turns black and a tri-force slams onto the screen and smashes in to pieces.

If the character model used for Link is any indication of where this series is headed, expect ultra-realism, grittiness, and a very dark feel.

What an utter cock.

Who cares of they've been banging on about Smash not having motion controls, doesn't mean a thing, they did exactly the same thing with twilight princess, look what happened there :)

Also Viper, I think metroid 3 has had a MAJOR facelift on the visual front - the fact it uses the same engine don't mean shit - it will be modified and enhanced.

Saying that it clearly is bullshit!

Those screens that were shown would suggest it hasn't changed since we last saw it? Unless they're from an older version as I did hear it was getting a graphical overhaul.

It could very well be from an older version because until recently we didn't see any screenshots in true widescreen but I don't think that would be something they'd implement at the last minute.
