tie.nano Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I decided to design a new template for Gameplay's website...just for practice and to improve my skills. Here's what I've done so far: Comments are welcome. Edit: Update:
RedShell Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Perhaps just a bit too heavy on purple, but other than that I think it's really nice, seriously I prefer that to how the real site looks! Good job.
tie.nano Posted May 2, 2007 Author Posted May 2, 2007 Perhaps just a bit too heavy on purple, but other than that I think it's really nice, seriously I prefer that to how the real site looks! Good job. Thank you. They'll be less purple when I'm finished with it, Lol.
Shorty Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 It's pretty nice, I don't think you should've used anti-aliased text for the whole body though. Turn that off and use verdana or tahoma around size 10-12 if you want to show what the site will really look like when coded with html. It will also look sharper on the whole. Also I'm not sure I like the brightness of the purple or the size of some of the text, and it's kind of a thin site on my resolution - but on the whole it shows thoughtful design layout and good level of ability.
tie.nano Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 That looks really cool! Well done! Thanks. WAY better than the actual site. Thank you. It's pretty nice, I don't think you should've used anti-aliased text for the whole body though. Turn that off Done. and use verdana or tahoma around size 10-12 if you want to show what the site will really look like when coded with html. It will also look sharper on the whole. Done. Also I'm not sure I like the brightness of the purple or the size of some of the text, So you prefer the shade of purple that Gameplay is currently using for their site? And can you be more specific to which sections of text you think could be changed in size? and it's kind of a thin site on my resolution - I've widened the content. but on the whole it shows thoughtful design layout and good level of ability. Thank you. Update:
Charlie Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 That looks really good! Much much better than what it actually looks like.
AshMat Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Much better than their propr website, but it needs a bit of white imo.

Bluejay Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 WAY better than the actual site. Seconded. Send the pic to Gameplay, see what they say. Generic response or none at all I guess but worth a try.
Guest Jordan Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Agreed, this really does look way better than the actual site itself.
Caris Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I don't like the big header at the top, looks abit plain everything else is awsome though.
Charlie Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 People would pay a lot of money for a design like that. If you're interested in selling it head over to http://www.namepros.com or maybe http://www.talkfreelance.com
AshMat Posted May 22, 2007 Posted May 22, 2007 Did you see my update? Woops i did not, i have a bad habit of doing this. YEah that's just perfect.
