Mikey Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Just don't let any little boys in the ring with him.
Hellfire Posted April 30, 2007 Posted April 30, 2007 Personally it should be Mr T Mr T is unbeatable. He faked it in Rocky.
antster1983 Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Personally it should be Mr T I second that! That would be well ace!
Darkspine S Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Too bad it wasn't wrestling didn't aki make no mercy? I'm not sure they made it exactly. Definately their wrestling system. Anyway. READY TO RUMBLE!! About freakin time.
antster1983 Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I'm not sure they made it exactly. Definately their wrestling system. AKI indeed developed WWF No Mercy on N64. The next game was WWE Wrestlemania 18 on GameCube which was developed by Yuke's, who were responsible for the Smackdown series. AKI's American studio went on to develop the brilliant Def Jam Vendetta. As of last month, AKI Corporation are now called syn Sophia, Inc., but the US division is still known as AKI USA, Inc.
antster1983 Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Thought this was an EA BIG franchise? No there was never a boxing franchise on the EA Sports Big label. There's NBA, NFL and FIFA Streets, SSX, Sled Storm, Shox and Freekstyle. But no boxing games. Ready 2 Rumble was originally developed by Midway.

What about Def Jam Icon? I heard that was rubbish.
antster1983 Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 What about Def Jam Icon? I heard that was rubbish. EA Chicago developed that one. AKI had nothing to do with it.

Retro_Link Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 MAJOR BUMPAGE!! http://www.cubed3.com/news/11209 Atari Resurrects Ready 2 Rumble for Wii A recent Amazon listing suggests that Atari will soon reveal more on the third in the Ready 2 Rumble Boxing series. Since being briefly mentioned a year ago, all that had been given on the title was the tentative name of Ready 2 Rumble: Revolution, that AKI, of WWF No Mercy fame would be handling Developing duties, also that Michael Buffer would be returning as the ring announcer, and that the game would be released on Wii and most other consoles. Amazon's Game page offers a few more new details on the game, including; - All-New Roster: 20 new crazy boxers - Wii controllers for intuitive gameplay - Dodge, weave and punch opponents - Fictional characters, Over-the-top action, celebrity caricatures - Better, stronger, funnier! A speculative release date of May 19th 2009 has also been offered, but only the Wii format has been given in the details. Could Atari be going toe-to-toe with Nintendo's Punch Out!! next year?
darksnowman Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Punch Out!! v Ready 2 Rumble is a tasty proposition. The only bad thing is that Ready 2 Rumble is gonna be by Atari, so that doesn't really guarantee it'll be a worthy offering. The DS must be used as a VMU!
Guest Jordan Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 If we don't see Afro Thunder, this game isn't worth buying!
darksnowman Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 A few weeks ago, ScrewAttack added Ready 2 Rumble to their Videogame Vault, worth a look: http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42709.html
darkjak Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 The Wii is more and more looking like a successor to the Dreamcast. No bad thing, as I love the dreamcast. I hope that we'll see the lights of other classic titles, like Virtua Tennis, Virtua Fighter, Sega Rally, Daytona USA, MSR and so on.
dazzybee Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Now out of Punch out and this. Lets see which ones use wiimotionplus and the balance board!!
Ren of Heavens Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 I don't like when franchises switch developers, especially to an unknown developer. But we'll see how this turns out...
