Slaggis Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I added: Ladytron Lily Allen Miley Cyrus Katy Perry (Just that one Hot n Cold remix. Beyond brilliant) Did I add that The Kills track? I can't remember if it was me or not. M.I.A Carrie Underwood Goldfrapp We Are Scientists If there was anything else, I've gone blank.
Coolness Bears Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I haven't added too many but I've added: Camille Telepathe Miley Cyrus M.I.A Franz Feridinand Muse Cut Copy Fleet Foxes and Girls Aloud! Wow more than I thought. In other news Incredibad has been put back on.
Ashley Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I added that... I didn't realise it sounded so broken before I added it! Serves me right for not checking I guess. *deleted* Not bad odd, just different from what I've heard before. Only slightly though. Add as everyone else is doing it I added; Soho Dolls Don McLean The Format Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins Louis XIV Whoever added Witch Doctors...the frak?
ShavenWolf Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I added: Cut Copy (1 song) Neon Neon Radiohead (2 songs) Super Furry Animals The Bird And The Bee The Spinto Band And a special bonus song by Cartoons.
Paj! Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I added loads, and then mixed them up so, off the top of my head; Some Liz Phair Some Kylie Minogue Mulholland Drive Main Theme Velvet Underground Bjork Tori Amos Sonic Youth Some decent Goldfrapp needs on there. Ride A White Horse is alright. Not their best though. Same with A&E.
chairdriver Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I added Melanie C, just because it's quite good considering. And Seed Song by Cerys Matthews (technically lovely). And Kate Bush. Cloudbusting. Marvellous. And FLApes.
Paj! Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I added Melanie C, just because it's quite good considering. And Seed Song by Cerys Matthews (technically lovely). And Kate Bush. Cloudbusting. Marvellous. And FLApes. Oh yeah! My sister is now in love with Fight Like Apes. I warned her ages ago, but she didn't listen. Now she loves. Why is she well on her way to becoming the 9th member of the Sacred 8? I want to know!
somme Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I added: Did I add that The Kills track? I can't remember if it was me or not. That was me
Slaggis Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 That was me Thought it must have been someone else. I remember searching them, but not finding any of their stuff (Well, hardly anything). Still, I do like that track.
Paj! Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 That was me Haggis isn't a Kills fan long enough to know about their Gainsbourg song, I don't think! I've not actually listened to it yet...now I coveniently can thanks to Spotify! [/advert voice]

I want to know! There's a traitor in this room. *Glares at Suthy* Just so you are aware Georgiana loves them too. Making a comment at dinner; "I love Beverly Hills more than you.". While not spot on, I clapped at the effort. And I must remind everyone Like O, Like H is my fave song on the entire playlist.
somme Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I've been a fan quite a few years but didn't realise they appeared on that Gainsbourg album, which is strange seeing as I have a track from that album on which Brian Molko from Placebo appears.

Ashley Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 There's a traitor in this room. *Glares at Suthy* Is that an intentional reference to our earlier facebook convo?
chairdriver Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Is that an intentional reference to our earlier facebook convo? Yes. ..... *Isn't*

Ashley Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 New album listening! The Boy Least Likely To - The Law of the Playground The first album is a great album to listen to when I want unadulterated glee and this is the same. It definately needs more listens to really appreciate the lyrics but i'm on the third and so far there's some real gems in there. Pure bliss. 'A Balloon On A Broken String' is looking to be my favourite so far. I'm a balloon on a broken string, I'm not attached to anyone or anything, anymore And I know I look shiny and bouncy, but I'm all empty inside, and I worry if I was to just burst suddenly then nobody would even notice me Yeah Yeah Yeahs - It's Blitz! Only listened once. The first few songs really grabbed me but in the middle not so much. Needs more listening. But really enjoyed it.
Paj! Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Is It's Blitz! officially out now? --- Can someone inform me why I keep jizzing myself whenever I put on Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair? Annoyingly the only album of hers not on Spotify. PEOPLE! SEEK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF! (It got fucking 9.6 on Pitchfork, and they're pretty harsh, and generally have decent taste)
Dan_Dare Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Hold The Phone! New Yeah Yeah Yeahs album?
Paj! Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Hold The Phone! New Yeah Yeah Yeahs album? Linkity
Ashley Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Nothing is ever released on release date with the magics of the internet Although that pitchfork article has informed me Neko Case have a new album out soon !
or else you will DIE Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Can someone inform me why I keep jizzing myself whenever I put on Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair? because it's an awesome album? i've not heard any of her other stuff besides that, apparently it sux though
GothicPlague Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I was not expecting It's Blitz to leak so soon since it's not due out till April 13th. Zero is pretty good.
Paj! Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 because it's an awesome album? i've not heard any of her other stuff besides that, apparently it sux though Not true. Whip-Smart (the album after) is still wonderfully low-fi. Not as good, but not by any means bad. Some great tunes on that. The one after that, whitechocolatespaceegg, is much more produced, and is a bit more wholesome. Decent though. She then infamously released her self-titled album, which is pop. And not particularly good pop. Nothing like the old Liz. I don't have tha album after that. Apparently it's a bit more like her old self, but still fairly rubbish. But I recommend at least Whip-Smart.
