Slaggis Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I HATE THAT SONG >_< Its so awful and overplayed :nono: :nono: Haha, you rock and all, but Lies! :p I love it, it almost made me cry the first time I heard it (2 days ago, so maybe thats why I love it so much )
Raining_again Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I have no idea why... but Kelly clarkson's voice makes my head want to explode
Slaggis Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I have no idea why... but Kelly clarkson's voice makes my head want to explode Hehe, you lettuce! (You're probably the only one that will even vaguely get why I called you that lol, Woo! *High fives you on msn*) She can sing amazingly well live, she sounds almost like the cd. She puts most other hugely popular pop/rock singers to shame.

chairdriver Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 On the topic of good live acts, Gwen Stefani actually sounded far better than I expected live. CSS were average singing-wise (but then again you don't really listen to their music for the quality of the singing.) Tegan and Sara were awesome. Actually putting emotion into Soil, Soil for once. Crying during Dark Come Soon. Awesome. And yeah, I don't get to go to alot of gigs :p
navarre Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Have you ever had it when you listen to a song and think it's really crap but it's addictive? Damn you Girls Aloud I can't speak French!
Slaggis Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Dear god nooooooooooooooooooooooo! Lettuce! ^_^ Proof! You lettuce, you!
Dan_Dare Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Tom Waits is my favourite individual artist. I'm sorry Jeff Buckley, you're number 2. a granted ordering, given the inclusion of Blind Love on Rain Dogs fuck it. might brew up my own list tomorrow.
chairdriver Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Have you ever had it when you listen to a song and think it's really crap but it's addictive? Damn you Girls Aloud I can't speak French! I don't listen to what I deem to be crap. If there is crap in the background, I just get out my iPod. I know it's rude, but it's equally rude playing crap music in a public place. And an essential song I just listened to for the first time in ages: Road Rage - Catatonia
Roostophe Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 There are a fair few albums I'd give a 10/10 to: Grace - Jeff Buckley The Colour And The Shape - Foo Fighters Funeral - The Arcade Fire The Bends - Radiohead OK Computer - Radiohead Hail To The Thief - Radiohead Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers Toxicity - System Of A Down Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine To lengthen the list: 9/10 and 9.5/10 albums: (Sketches for) My Sweetheart The Drunk - Jeff Buckley Pablo Honey - Radiohead Kid A - Radiohead Amnesiac - Radiohead In Rainbows - Radiohead System Of A Down - System Of A Down There Is Nothing Left To Lose - Foo Fighters Nevermind - Nirvana The Battle Of Los Angeles - Rage Against The Machine Infest - Papa Roach Songs For The Deaf - Queens Of The Stone Age Absolution - Muse Tom Waits is my favourite individual artist. I'm sorry Jeff Buckley, you're number 2. Really? I'm intrigued. I have to look for this Tom Waits chap...
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Pablo Honey - RadioheadThe Battle Of Los Angeles - Rage Against The Machine Infest - Papa Roach Those are staining your repertoire.
Slaggis Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 With all this "best" talk, what about worst? Whats the worst album you've ever heard?
Roostophe Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Those are staining your repertoire. My repertoire also includes Paramore, Wu-Tang Clan and Eminem. My repertoire has been stained for a long-time...
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 My repertoire also includes Paramore, Wu-Tang Clan and Eminem. My repertoire has been stained for a long-time... Wu-Tang rocks. Correction... rocked.
chairdriver Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 With all this "best" talk, what about worst? Whats the worst album you've ever heard? The worst album I own is Under The Blacklight by Rilo Kiley. As for worst album ever I've ever heard, it's probably one of my sister's RnB albums, which is literally like spending 30 minutes of your life having shit thrown into your ears.
Roostophe Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 The worst album I have is Permission To Land by The Darkness It's a bit crap. I never liked it. Wu-Tang rocks. Correction... rocked. Um...alright then?
Slaggis Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Mika - Life In Cartoon Motion I actually want to slaughter every person around me when his voice reaches my ears. I loathe the music he makes. And, his performance at the Brits sounded like some cat being fed through a meat grinder.
Noodleman Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I bought a Coal Chamber album when I was 16, I dont think ive ever listened to it. I also owned Iowa by Shitknot. The first CD album I ever bought was the Spice Girls album which would be another nominee.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I bought a Coal Chamber album when I was 16 Wich one??
Noodleman Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Dark Days I think its called. Can't say im in a hurry to listen to it either.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Dark Days I think its called. Can't say im in a hurry to listen to it either. Well, actually it's quite an ok album, their best, really. Not that that means anything, but...
Slaggis Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Ryan Tedder has just spoken to a magazine about Kelly Clarksons upcoming album (due by the end of this year), and has said: "Clarkson's new songs will feature "big choruses" and "heavy drum programming. The songs are influenced by nineties electro-rockers Garbage, while one song, a mid-tempo rock ballad, features an experimental bridge inspired by Mozart." I'm unsure what this means is it that she's going back to "Breakaway" style, or something different?
gaggle64 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Good lord, I am enjoying Way Out West. And why has it taken me this long to get into Jefferson Airplane? I suddenly realise I've lead a bitter shadow of the life I should have had up until this point.
