Dan_Dare Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 everyone in the world needs a copy of Hot Chip's latest. The same can be said for their 2nd album, too.
Dan_Dare Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 yeah me too. wouldn't consider the first essential for new fans though as it's a bit of a prototype of an album, and less exciting.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 yeah me too. wouldn't consider the first essential for new fans though as it's a bit of a prototype of an album, and less exciting. Yup. Good and classy, but not essential.
chairdriver Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 My favourite song at the moment: Aeris' Theme - Final Fantasy VII soundtrack I was playing the game the other day, and I had forgotten just how awesome the game was. Actually really shocking when Jesse, Biggs and Wedge died really impromptuly. When I first played the game I assumed they'd be playable characters. I love the soundtrack the most though, just brings back memories of my favourite game ever.
Dante Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Ive got Paramore ablum and listening to Paramore - When It Rains quite alot.
Paj! Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Relistening to Volta by Bjork for like the 30th time. I love it. Took a long time to actually LOVE it, but now I do.
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Ive got Paramore ablum and listening to Paramore - When It Rains quite alot. My condolences.
Intensity Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Houses Of The Holy = Led Zeppelins most underrated album! I love it
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 What's that? Some kind of action porno? It's an electro-hip-hop song called "Thou Shalt Always Kill". It's not very good musically, but the lyrics are fantastic.
killthenet Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Oh, that dude. I found it fairly funny at first, just dull to me now though.
gmac Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 The lyrics are fantatic though. yeah it's all about the lyrics
Oxigen_Waste Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 im gettin no sound on that youtube clip That wax can be a bitch sometimes.
Hem Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 And it's one of their worst songs! Explore their other work gmac!
ipaul Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Letter from God to Man is sublime. The music isn't even too bad on that one (probably because it is Planet Telex remixed)
chairdriver Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I just found a complete treat I've never heard before.
ipaul Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 How is it possible for one to enjoy Hadouken and also enjoy Hot Chip?! I assume you mean how Hadouken! are 'shit' and Hot chip are 'good', well guess what, it's entirely possible for people to like shit music and still enjoy good music. It's also possible for people to have a rather eclectic taste in music. So there you go =P Oh and the inverted commas are only there because I don't really feel I am at liberty to say what is good and what isn't. No music critic am I
chairdriver Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I really dislike Hot Chip. To me, it's just all high-pitched electro that seems its played at a slower tempo than it should be. I like the song The Warning, but only because it's quite amusing. The Warning as an album sits in my collection with Under The Blacklight of albums I would have preferred not to buy.

I've listened to like half of The Warning, and every time I scroll past it, I question wether to keep listening. One day I will. But right now, I prefer listening to Seventh Tree.
somme Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Just "obtained" The Kills new album - Midnight Boom. Genious. Best album I've heard since PJ Harvey's "White Chalk".
