Well it looks good doesn't it?
No, I have to disagree. The lighting effects aren't shader effects, the character models are low poly, and textures are really poor at times; the PS2 probably wouldn't have problems running this game. The inconsistency in graphics (note the good-looking balloon in the third screen) makes me think this game was originally a PS2 or maybe even Dreamcast game that they've ported over, while adding new, better looking stuff.

From GoNintendo

NiGHTS to feature 2 player duel over WFC

According to the Sega TGS site, NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will feature a “2P opposition modeâ€, which is more commonly referred to as two player duel. The objective of the duel isn’t made clear, but we should learn more about it at TGS.

What are you on about? That balloon looks shite compared to some of the other stuff in there.

Woah never knew about the 2 player duel mode. Would be cool if it's true so the appeal lasts longer but some WiiConnect 24 activitey would be nice. There's great potential for it but not many use it.

Doesn't NiGHTS use the weather channel data?

Not saying that the game is the best looking game ever, but your post is full of lies! And who cares if it's usind shaders? Shaders are just means to an end.

Its impossible that this game has been delayed.

Sonic Team release games (most of the time, apart from Puyo Pop games it seems) within the same month in all three territories!

Sonic Rush Adventure is an exception, too. The Japan release is over a month after the Europe release.

The characters are low on polygons and the textures are smeared out over the levels, there's no denying that! That is exactly how some PS2 games looked, and on top of that there are no decent shaders. The lights look like crap compared to shaded lights, which were perfectly possible last generation already. Except maybe on Dreamcast...

I'm not writing this game off but it's really quite an ugly game.

Also, that balloon is the prettiest thing on those screens. That's just perception though, I guess.
