Mr. Bananagrabber Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 I didn't even know he made games Uh, there you go.
DCK Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 The article doesn't really imply that Spielberg is personally responsible for those games. Surely they're movie licenses?
Cube Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 The article doesn't really imply that Spielberg is personally responsible for those games. Surely they're movie licenses? Steven's in the studio once a week, usually from one to four hours, stops by 8:30 and leaves midday and spends a good amount of time with us. It's a very close, collaborative relationship... it's wonderful... he's a wonderful guy, incredibly creative... it's a learning experience working with Steven... Not movie licenses. He's working on the games himself: For his work with EA, Spielberg will have an office at the company's LA studios to work side-by-side with the game developers. Spielberg's role will be similar to that of an executive producer on a film. The aim of the deal is to create three original games, rather than a title based on a movie. BBC
DCK Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Eh, wow! Spielberg is great at storytelling, so let's see how this'll work out
Saminthehat Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Probably jealous of Peter Jackson and the Halo project.
Cube Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Probably jealous of Peter Jackson and the Halo project. The 3 Games by Spielberg were announced in 2005...
Shino Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Well, his studios made at least one great game. Really funny, really creative.
gaggle64 Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 All the big directors are trying their hand at games these days. Spielberg, Cameron, Jackson... Kind of an interesting exodus being made by the Hollywood elite into the video gaming-sphere.
Mr. Bananagrabber Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 Holy shit, I loved that game. I played about 10 years ago and then forgot what it was called. I will make you my bride, Shino.
Shino Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Holy shit, I loved that game. I played about 10 years ago and then forgot what it was called.I will make you my bride, Shino. Not until you ask my father's premission, or we can just run away with out telling our families. I've been listning to the soundtrack quite a lot, man was it good. For those wandering the greatness of what they lost, peek here
Saminthehat Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 The 3 Games by Spielberg were announced in 2005... I was being sarcastic.
Kurtle Squad Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Spielberg has sucked for years now & after LOTRs Peter Jackson started too...I mean, how can you make a remake of a 1930s film and make it worse?!?!
Saminthehat Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Spielberg has sucked for years now & after LOTRs Peter Jackson started too...I mean, how can you make a remake of a 1930s film and make it worse?!?! Actually I didn't think it was that bad, the game on the other hand...
Kurtle Squad Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Actually I didn't think it was that bad, the game on the other hand... It was ok-ish, but the length of the film, adding random creatures and such ruined it. The original is better. I mean, they didn't even have the line: "Must be part of the Dinosaur family":indeed:
Anakenobi Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 Not movie licenses. He's working on the games himself: BBC Spielberg has mentioned that he sits and watches TV shows and plays videogames with his family. It would be a no brainer then, that he would want to be personally involved with any of those two things.
