Nintendo 2007 Titles

Recommended Posts

This is the English translation of the list we posted earlier this morning. These titles are said to be coming out in 2007.

- Super Smash Bros. Brawl

- Disaster (most likely Day of Crisis)

- Donkey Kong Barrel Blast

- Doubutsu no Mori [Animal Crossing]

- Forever Blue

- Hoshi no Kirby (Kirby's Adventure)

- Mario Party 8

- Mario Strikers Charged

- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

- Project H.A.M.M.E.R.

- Super Mario Galaxy

- Totsugeki Famicom Wars W (Battalion Wars 2)

- Wii Health Pack

- Wii Music

That is a ton of AAA content coming from Nintendo in 2007! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for an equally interesting 2008.

GoNintendo

Although, one or two may slip into 2008. And thats the list for Japan.

Note: Fire Emblem is probably not on the list as it is out tomorrow in Japan.

I can't wait for -in order in most anticipated- Brawl,Prime 3 and Galaxy.

Hope there's dates for those out in Q2/early Q3.

That is a very good line up, cant wait for Galaxy.

Me neither Galaxy is by far my most wanted game at the moment. but from this list I would be happy if we got say half them. here's the games I really want from that list:

- Super Smash Bros. Brawl

- Doubutsu no Mori [Animal Crossing]

- Hoshi no Kirby (Kirby's Adventure)

- Mario Strikers Charged

- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

- Super Mario Galaxy

- Totsugeki Famicom Wars W (Battalion Wars 2)

I don't think we will see Animal Crossing this year in europe to be honest. but all the rest we should, I think if theres a kirby in the works it shouldn't take too long to translate....

I'd be quite happy if some of them got moved in to 2008 over here, just seems far to much from Nintendo, also means they could make a good flow of AAA titles in Europe.

Woopedi dedibidoo.... I translated this same list last year's november, and it was featured on GoNintendo, N-Sider and here at Revo-Europe forums. Really proves how short memory most people have. :)

Hopefully later this year we will see the unveiling of new games to existing franchises eg Mario Kart, F Zero, Wave Race, Pilotwings, etc. Also we must see more brand new games being announced like Disaster Day of Crisis and Project Hammer.

Am I the only person that thinks a game about swimming in the sea with friends sounds boring?

Meh, I did hate Animal Crossing though.

Make a good summer game that!

Arika has made few diving games for PS2, and from what I have heard, they were pretty boring. But could be good title for more casual players.

Yeah it looks nice, however IGN have doubts!

Forever Blue Details

Developer named and history revealed.

US, January 3, 2007 - Ever since Nintendo first showed off footage of its mysterious Wii title Forever Blue, we've all been curious about the title's premise. Early videos showed scuba divers swimming deep underneath the sea and interacting with a variety of fish, some deadlier than others.

Sources tell IGN Wii that the game is being developed out of Japan by Arika. A little research on our part revealed that Arika is no stranger to underwater-based videogames. In fact, the studio released Everblue and Everblue 2 for PlayStation 2 in 2001 and 2002 respectively. Both games look very similar to Forever Blue for Wii. Indeed, we'd be willing to wager that the upcoming Wii title is very likely a direct sequel, if not an enhanced port.

Arika's official website features a brief description of the titles, which can be found right here.

IGN reviewed a copy of Everblue 2 on PS2 three years ago. The title scored a 5.7 and was described as an underwater action game with RPG elements. Apparently the effort presents a realistic and sometimes-beautiful scuba diving experience, but comes up short on story and character progression. Here is a description of the PS2 games from our sister site:

"Explore the Magic of Deep-Sea Diving. Follow heroes Leo and Zucco as they explore the truth behind tales of the Caribbean's Bermuda Triangle and Coral Reef inthis expansive underwater role-playing adventure. Uncover the sea's mysteries, as you freely explore sunken treasure ships, play with dolphins and other underwater sea life, wander the great Coral Sea and avoid shark attacks."

Nintendo has not officially confirmed that Wii's Forever Blue is related, but considering Arika's history, we don't see how it couldn't be.

It's worth noting that Arika has worked on other projects, including everything from Street Fighter EX Plus Alpha for PlayStation to Mega Man Network Transmission for GameCube.

More information as it becomes available.

Still not impressed.

Gimme Project Hammer instead.

That's probably just a look-good-game.

The ones I have the most interest are:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Metroid Prime 3

Super Mario Galaxy

The rest really depends on the genre and style / gameplay features.

- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

- Project H.A.M.M.E.R.

- Super Mario Galaxy

Weren't those three originally supposed to be launch titles? Silly Nintendo!

Also how about super paper mario, surely that should be on the list right? Right???
