Zack and Wiki is way sooner than I thought. Only three weeks after christmas, I'm not even gonna be done with my christmas games. And AW:DS on the 25th too, way sooner than I expected. That was only just announced.

Here is my predictions on Ninty's Europe releases.

My guess is that Europe are so out of Wii's that they have deliberately delayed these big games here until the start of March onwards.

Wii Fit will be released in March 2008 as we know the most about it and it won't take too long to localise.

April/May will see the release of Mario Kart Wii and June/July 2008 will be Brawls months. This might be vice-versa however, but judging by the fact Nintendo have given a Q2 release for Mario Kart i reckon we will see this first.

Jan-March is mainly taken up by Third-party titles, with only BWii and Donkey Kong Barrell Blast from Nintendo, both reasonably good games but kept back from 2007 to fill out the first few months of 2008, (We not daft here in Europe Ninty :indeed: ).

Thankfully there is a light at the end of this damp, crap, shitty tunnel of NOE, there are actually a couple of good games each month for the first 3 months, so for us PAL gamers at least our Wii's won't be gathering too much dust! :yay:

I've got rid of the shit in the release and gave DK: Barrell Blast the benefit of the doubt at the mo, it's not bad, but not fantastic either, trust me:

Zack and Wiki Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure (Capcom/Nintendo) 18 January 2008

Donkey Kong Jet Race (Nintendo) 25 January 2008

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams (SEGA) January 2008

Ghost Squad (SEGA) January 2008

Medal Of Honour Heroes 2 (EA) Feb 8th 2008 (NOT ON LIST AT THE MO)

Battalion Wars 2 (Nintendo) 15 February 2008

No More Heroes (Rising Star Games) 29 February 2008

Bleach (SEGA) February 2008

Naruto Wii (Tentative title) (TOMY/Nintendo) 28 March 2008

Bomberman Land Wii (Rising Star Games) March 2008

SEGA Superstars Tennis (SEGA) March 2008

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity (SEGA) March 2008

Harvest Moon Magical Melody (Rising Star Games/Nintendo) Q1/Q2 2008

PES 2008 (Konami) Q1 2008

Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo) Q2 2008

Dancing Stage HOTTEST PARTY (Konami) Spring 2008

Now the bad news. America has ALOT of these games out already! So my guess is that they will see Wii Fit, Brawl etc..etc..in the first 3 months unlike us.

Techinically America will have a 3 month head-start on most first-party titles at the start of 08.

Not good. Lets just be pleased No More Heroes is out end of Feb. I'm totally pissed for most of you on here though, i have a USA Wii and still hate the fact Europe are screwed over, it's just not fair!

Still it could well be worse! : peace:

February is pretty packed with No More Heroes, Battalion Wars 2 and probably Medal of Honor Heroes 2 in this month too, I'd imagine. Hardcore games too.

Personally, I'd rather see Mario Kart in Q3/Q4. If we get it as early as Q1/Q2, then wtf is there for Christmas 08!?

Alot of games missing on the list, I'm guessing alot of companies just never submitted their estimated releases for games yet or something.

If Wii Fit, Smash Bros or Mario Kart isn't released in Q1, then one of them is gonna see a heavy delay as Nintendo will never release games of that size together, especially with shortages. I can see it being Smash Bro's which takes a hit too, unfortunately.

Still, plenty of games I want on the list, and plenty more that arn't on there yet. We need Samba De Amigo God dammit Sega!

I can see NOE spreading their big titles out for each quarter:

Q1: Wii Fit, probably in March. In time for Easter.

Q2: Mario Kart Wii. April seems a bit early. My bet is June.

Q3: Smash Bros. Brawl. It won't be released in the middle of summer, so September seems most likely.

Cheers guys, added Harvest Moon to the list.

I've also added a little graph of the first year releases, you can see it in the "Released" section. 134 titles in total!

I own 17 of those (would have been 18 but I traded in Red Steel) not bad for a year. Although I'd have preferred it if they were spaced out a bit better.

Anyway, looking forward to see how many titles 2008 will bring. :yay:

Cheers steggy. icon14.gif

Added those to the first post, put Bleach down with No More Heroes though as the 28th is a Thursday so I'm guessing it's meant to be the 29th.

Why Medal of honor Heores 2 isnt on the release list? It's out at February the 8th isnt it?

Yes, it's definately out Feb 8th, if they delay it again, it would be a complete and utter joke and i would go as far as saying it would lose 'alot' of sales considering the games coming out in the very near future!

Posted

Sorry for double posting but have you seen the 'supposadely' updated release schedule for Europe till June?

It's complete shite, Wii Fit and Brawl aren't even mentioned, i won't be posting it, it's awful...fingers crossed it's a fake list and not fully complete!

Posted

You need Star Trek Conquest put on the list. It's out on the 22nd February, and it's decent! A lack of strategy games means this budget title (only £20) should be up there.

Posted

Ok, I added Star Trek and Dragonball to the first post.

I'm really annoyed at the lack of any official release dates for 1st party stuff at the moment, (especially Smash Bros.) and I don't think the situation will change any time soon either. Pretty sure we got the Q2 list in April last year and chances are NoE will follow the same plan this time too. :indeed::zzz:

Posted

Yea but the last list was early and didn't go very far and normally after the unofficial list get's out, the official one is.

It's what i'm clinging to at the moment...
