Wii Release List

Recommended Posts

Nope. Hopefully things'll be cleared up in the new year. I do think it'll be February though. They do have it on their site and seeing as it didn't come out in November, it would seem like the next plausible release area for it. Have been looking forward to it and just wish they'd hurry up and release it.

It seems to have slipped a bit. Should expect it in the April/May area in both America and Europe.

Eurogamer is reporting New Play Control Pikmin 2 will be on sale in the first half of 2009. Their article is not clear if this is a Europe or the States.

Here's what they said...

On the Wii side of the calendar, Punch-Out! and New Play Control! Pikmin 2 will arrive in the first-half of 2009. And we're told Wii Sports Resort will arrive sometime this year - as will working titles Sin & Punishment, Another Code R and Endless Ocean 2.

The list also confirms Chibi Robo for a Wiimake under the New Control Play! brand.

Im assuming they are talking about the Euro dates.

EU:

Pikmin 2: First half 2009.

Punchout!!! First half 2009.

Wii Sports Resort 2009.

Sin and Punishment 2: 2009.

Another Code R: 2009.

Endless Ocean 2: 2009.

Side notes:

Glad DSi is still "spring-summer" (although a set date would be nice), Rhythm heaven is called Rhythm Paradise for Europe, Pokemon Platinum is first half 2009 and Kirby Ultra Superstar seems to be getting a EU release.

^ You mean Kirby GC which went back to the drawing board to become a Wii title. :heh:

Anyways, yay. Nice to see they have Sin and Punishment 2 on the Euro list for release. Was getting a little worried that it wasn't coming seeing as Nintendo said nothing about releasing it in Europe.

2009 Wii games listed for Wii:

Jpn - 19 games

USA - 5 games

Euro - 8 games

Poor US.

I just realised that Metroid Prime is absent from both the European and American release lists for the Wii, which is really strange given that it's out in Japan next week or the week after and the fact it sells better in the West. ::shrug: I'm sure it'll get released this year. And hope Chibi-robo makes the release as well.

It never sells well at all in Japan, I think Nintendo are trying to raise awareness of the series over there.

Is 5 crazy good games not enough to raise the profile of a series nowadays?!

It'd be nice to have Metroid Prime and Echoes on the list for Europe.

Evidently not. These remakes have been selling like hotcakes in Japan though, so that might change.

To be fair, some of those games are not aimed at certain audiences. So, if it gets them gaming, shouldn't it be a good thing? Everyone has to start somewhere.

Well we all know that HotD is wrong since it's out on Friday. Strange for a site to get a date wrong so close to a games release.

Update on Madworld's EU release date...

It's looking like it's getting released on the 20th of March. A few of the game stores around where I'm living are stating that.

And I wonder what the hell has happened to Blast Works. Play.com now have it down for April yet Majesco are still saying Feb 2009 on their site. ::shrug: Perhaps it's one of those titles that'll go the same way as Dementium on the DS in that it'll get dates but just never actually get released over here.

Hope not, as I'm still really looking forward to Blastworks!

Got it pre-ordered at GAME where it is currently down for the 27th of this month, we'll see what happens I guess. ::shrug:

Looks like Blastworks may have been cancelled for Europe.

I got an e-mail from GAME earlier saying that they won't be able to fulfil my order and it has been delisted.
