Fierce_LiNk Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Try clawshotting down from the room with the boss key but instead of falling down, use the second clawshot on that thing in the main room I seriously love you. God, that's been frustrating. Grrr. Cheers.
motion Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 At least someone does I found the Sky city more frustrating than Ocarina's water temple.
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 FFS! His fire breath takes off your ENTIRE hearts. I LOATHE THIS DUNGEON.
EchoDesiato Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 E3 demo soundtrack. Definitely check out the overworld theme. I like it, but it's too much like Ocarina's overworld theme. I'm glad they changed it to what it is now.
Guest Stefkov Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 FFS! His fire breath takes off your ENTIRE hearts. I LOATHE THIS DUNGEON. Do/did you use Z targetting to get to the other flying things? Found it easier to do that, didnt get hit by any of his attacks once. Quite an easy boss imo.
darksnowman Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 That tunes a nice one, Mr. Echo, its a little more like a typical Zelda game than the one in Twilight Princess. I kinda wish they'd managed to get the classic Zelda theme in TP but hey, you cant have it all and the Hyrule Field music we have is pretty great nonetheless. Anyway, last night from before 6pm until just after midnight, I played this game - with only one quick tea break. Flip but did the time fly in! I couldnt believe it was so late and Id played for so long without realising. 6h 30mins, check the records that the Wii keeps, if you dont believe me. So what did I do during that time? Well I get the feeling that Im the furthest behind with Twilight Princess outta all you guys who've completed it already, but Ill still be putting it in spoilers on the off chance anyones just starting the game. So I picked the game up at the top of Zora's Waterfall. I warped about and got it unfroze then proceded to collect the Tears once again. Twas slightly tedious but I found that it was enjoyable once I just got on with it. The flying section was good fun even though I died a few times chasing the flying bugs. So, I eventually got up until the last boss type one, I found it a wee bit difficult, then realised that I shouldnt attack it when its all electricky and got her duly dispatched with. What came next? Its hard to remember, I did the escorting bit and it was great fun getting some more horseback slaying again! It felt good to get the Zora kid over and I feel sorry for Ilia, but Im sure we'll sort her out. I proceded to the third level then and fumbled my way around it. It was good but like the first two it felt overwhelming, but I got through it - I almost wept at two points... first was that I marked a chest in my mind that Id go back and get, up the first spiral bit once you get the water flowing. Well I went back and it was just rupees! I was expecting the Map or something! Argh and I even had to put the cash back cos me wallet was full. Second was just before getting the Nightmare Key. I was so close to it but: You have to drop down from above to get it! My heart sank, I thought I was gonna have to climb the whole way to the top of the place just to fall the whole way down. Fortunately, this wasnt the case as I realised, phew. One last thing to say about this part: the midway and final bosses were great. The graphics for both were outstanding and they were fun to battle - the first one reminded me of something outta Pikmin! Onwards then, how come this is fresh in my memory yet I cant mind it all? Well, it was at this point Id beforehand decided I would turn the game off. Doing a level is usually a high enough point to do so, right? Well no, the cutscene was enough to get me going again. That music that played, the piano tune, was beautiful in its dreadfulness. You all know what I mean? Especially coupled with the rain, I HAD to get on with the quest! There was no way I was gonna turn the thing off with Midna dying, so I got my bad self over to the castle as fast as possible. I thought Midna was gonna be allowed to die anyway... but then Zelda did something to save her and then she disappeared! What happened!? (Dont dare tell me! So I did that, then when I saw what had to be done next, I couldnt save and quit! I got going over here once again. Took me yonks to find where to go, then when I did and the Skull Kid popped up, I thought it was great and I followed him through and finally, finally, got to the end of it. That puzzle with the guardians was deadly! I thought Id never do it but I fluked it in the end and proceded up to return to my normal Heroic and chosen by the gods form, and bagged the Master Sword to boot. Thats where I eventually got it saved. Im not sure where to go next and if I should just warp outta there - I couldnt see an exit, lol. I tell you all though, it was a night well spent. What a tremendous game. During the making of Hyrule cutscene, it showed alot of Ilia... is she evil?! Well, Im dying to find out. And the Link with plain white eyes was extremely freaky. I cant wait to get back to it.

Quite an easy boss imo. Found out why his firebreath was taking so many hearts off me... I was using the damn Zora tunic/armour. God, I feel like such a n00b.

Emasher Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 i finally got the magic armor and i think i've already done alot of the games sidequests since i have most of the hearts. i guess now i'll concentrate more on the main quest and get through the 8th dungeon.(i hate the wall masters)
Fierce_LiNk Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Smooth Flinks, reeeaal smooth! Haha, I know. God, I feel like such an idiot. I died about two times on that boss, as well.
Eddage Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Well it happens to us all at some point! Also, major props for the "Bitch About Twilight Princess" thread lockage!
dabookerman Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Does this mean we can go back to bitching in this thread?
flameboy Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Does this mean we can go back to bitching in this thread? no think it means enough of the bitching as it's surely had it's hey day, lets get back to celebrating Zelda not slamming it! Can't wait to get back into Zelda havn't played it for a week and half as have been at home and TV is always in use (should have brought mine back on the train with me lol!) so my wii has just been sat not doing alot at all! up to temple of time gonna hit it on friday when I'm back!
Hellfire Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I have 9 heart pieces left to get (and a lot of poes), the search is getting tough now.
Haden Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 Just done the mini boss on the 3rd temple. I really really loved it. The bit where all the younglings charge you is scary! Also I really think the animation in this game is great I have always thought the Zelda games had good animation.
ShadowV7 Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 To be honest with you all,if I played TP before OOT,I would probably prefer TP. But some opinions are a touch out of hand. These damn bugs are begining to annoy me.Almost played it for 60 hours now. But yesterday I found my first Gold Slime. And I was smart enough to think that the golden chus where normal yellow ones that fill up the lantern oil in TCOO.Zero had to tell me they were golden I loved the boss in the Sky Temple, though I felt like such an idiot when I kept using my bow and arrow for a switch but I had to use the clawshot.
Jasper Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 I'm trying the Malo Market sidequest - I have to bring the hot spinrgwater and pour it over the goron on thee other side of the bridge. Anyone any ideas? I keep droipping the thing in the end. Does it cool down fast? Can I take time to take out those nflying enemies? (And where did those anoying ground-surfers come from all of a sudden? They're never there if you're walking over the field without hot spring water...)

Just go throught the edge of the map, it's easy that way.

I just went straight to th right hand side once I left Kakariko with the spring water untill you were at the cliff.I just kept going along the edge up to the birdge and I didn't get attacked by a single enemy. Other attempts I kept dropping it near the end and I tried killing the enemies but those green spinny things kept appearing.
The Peeps Posted January 3, 2007 Posted January 3, 2007 The green spinny things are easy to dodge once you learn their patterns. After a few attempts where I would place the barrel down to shoot the birds with the bow I thought I'd try another mad dash. If you keep running the enemies can't keep up with you, though they stay scarily close (at least they did for me) so you only need to worry about dodging the green things.

Although it was a quite small sidequest, I enjoyed it. I was running like a madman, whilst praying "please don't hit me" at those damn archers.

I just stuck to the edge, where you encounter a grand total of one archer, and he couldn't even hit you if you were running straight into his arrow!
