To add to the Criterion love, I emailed them when I was a kid just asking about software development in general because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my life. I didn't expect a reply from them but about two days later one of their developers replied with a massive email about it. And now, six or seven years later, I'm doing software development as a job! So yeah, I really like Criterion. It amuses me how popular their RenderWare engine was. You still find games with the logo and it hasn't been on sale for years. The only problem I have with them is that you can start to see the EA rot when you look at the price of their DLC.

I'd actually held off buying the Xbox 360 version to see how this one turns out. It's looking pretty good so I think I'll have to wait for it.

Sorry, lads. I honestly thought Zavvi were doing it as part of their Monday Madness sale and not a misprice. Did anybody who ordered it actually have it dispatched?

Although I'm a fan of having the Wii U and 3DS forums merged I still don't like having General Gaming Discussion. It feels like the content of the Other Consoles forum should be included in it too. I'm guessing at the moment the forums are supposed to be read as Nintendo Gaming -> specific game threads General Gaming Discussion -> general nintendo discussion threads Other Consoles -> general/specific game discussion for other consoles Right?

Probably making LittleBigPlanet 3! I had my eye on the 3DS version of this because of how good the Wii U version was. Unfortunately it looks like they've cut a lot back to make it work on the 3DS. I wonder if there'll be a demo on the eShop.

I like the current layout. The icons for 3DS/Wii U threads works well and I think the members of this board are smart enough to select the icon manually so it'll actually be useful for seeing which console it relates to. But, I'm not keen on how we're supposed to split our discussions between Nintendo Gaming and General Gaming (plus I think we should drop the 'discussion' from the board title so it matches the others ). I'm guessing in theory it's supposed to put the 'Nintendo can do no wrong' people in the Nintendo Gaming board and everyone else in General Gaming, right? But we have to remember that Nintendo should be compared against their competitors.

For me it's a tricky question. I really like being able to play Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed on the gamepad while watching sports/music on the TV but I wouldn't dream of doing it for a game like ZombiU (if it had that as an option). So basically I want to play engaging single player games on the TV while multiplayer and 'casual' single player games have the option to play on the Gamepad. For single player games having the option to play off-screen: If they're having to force in Gamepad functionality, it'd probably be best to have the option to play off screen. Even though I wouldn't personally use it. If they're actually adding to the one way the game is experienced, then don't have the option to play off screen. On a side note, why has this thread been moved to here? It's about Wii U games making use of the gamepad for new features or just for mirroring the TV screen.

I agree with Wii on this one. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is a port of a 3DS remake/expansion of a Wii game. I'm looking forward to it but it's hardly a brand new game for the Wii U.

And now they've managed to deliver it to the completely wrong street. It'd explain how they managed to not deliver it the first time.

TNT said they attempted to deliver it today but that nobody was in. They didn't try at all! I phoned them up about it and they said the driver would try to do it again today but it's not guaranteed. So that means it won't be coming today if they couldn't even be bothered to try the first time around!

My Nexus 4 is out for delivery today, woop! Though I'll be sad to say goodbye to my good ol' HTC Desire Z. Battery life has always been an issue with Android phones. Both of the Android phones I've had suffered from poor battery. Things that I do to try to combat it: Use Llama to automate my phone. Disable Google Now. Almost as useless as Siri to me. Disable Google Voice Dialler. If I have Google Calendar installed from Google Play, disable the inbuilt Google Calendar. Obviously there are other things which could be disabled but then what's the point of having a smartphone? I've also been looking for external USB battery packs for times when I'm away from a power supply overnight. If anybody has any suggestions, I'd also like to know.

Just ordered the Nexus 4. I'd been holding out for a new QWERTY slider to replace my HTC Desire Z but there doesn't look to be any new ones on the horizon. Which is a real shame. I've only bought the 8GB one. I use my 32GB iPod Touch 4G for music and gaming so I only really need the room to fit recorded photos/videos, Skype, TuneIn Radio, Gmail and Google Drive/Dropbox.

That's my worry. I was all set to buy this on the Wii U but if it's just a port I'll probably pick it up on PC like I originally planned to do. I'm also concerned that Gearbox, who were raving about the Wii U, have now outsourced the Wii U version of the game. I was sort of hoping that @Serebii would reply back with another article proving the Eurogamer one to be incorrect.

My order with Amazon is still yet to move.

Why doubt that they're the developers on the Wii U version? I read that they weren't on Eurogamer.

It's a bit worrying that Gearbox aren't developing this. They were one of the developers heaping praise on the Wii U originally, I wonder what's changed. Gearbox talk about the Wii U version of Aliens

I'm a bit annoyed that they expect us to pay over 1/3 of the price for games we've already bought. I understand that they've had to create a new emulator to run the games but I think that they're asking too much and will look a bit silly if Microsoft have a free solution to play previously purchased XBLA games on their next console (though I don't think that's a dead cert if they're moving from a PowerPC based solution to x86). Also not impressed by using the 50hz versions of the games. Though, apart from the technical reasoning, I wonder if they purposely used them so that people would be playing games how they would remember them. Even if it's not the way they were meant to be played. Neither will stop me from rebuying Super Metroid again though Edit: And I'm annoyed at them seeming to do $1 == €1 == £1.

Fire Emblem Awakening is currently £27 on Zavvi. You have to use the voucher code which is under the release date. I can't really recommend Zavvi if you want it on release though. I pre-ordered Paper Mario Sticker Star with them in March of last year and ended up cancelling the order a couple of weeks after release because they showed no intention of sending it.

I received an email this morning stating that the sticker book will be sent out within the next week... but... I never had the chance to apply for it. I have a feeling they might have sent that email to everybody who has registered Paper Mario by accident.

I can't ever remember seeing one for the Wii Remote but there was one for the old PS1 non-analogue controller years and years ago. So there's a chance something like that exists!

Is anybody else having trouble submitting the surveys at the moment?

Does anybody know if the sounds the female survivor makes are by the same lass who does the noises for the zombies? At points I can't tell if it's the player character or the zombie making the noise so it's bugging me.
