  1. And Week 10's Highlights are now up! Thanks once again to @RedShell for the fantastic video : peace: I may have made a small contribution to it though
  2. @RedShell is sweating bullets about this week's Mario Kart theme right about now
  3. I think this is another game that puts out blank audio for the rears unfortunately (makes sense though I suppose - nothing ever comes out from behind you in this game as the camera always faces towards your opponent).
  4. A minigame that forms part of Robobot has just been announced, called Kirby's 3D Challenge! Looks a lot like that cancelled Kirby game for GameCube that had 3D gameplay... Naturally the 3DS' S3D display finally makes that concept properly playable!
  5. I've actually had a similar idea bouncing around in my head for a while, so naturally I'm game! Speaking of which I'm actually off work next week, which means... I'm IN! for next week!
  6. When we do get an actual leak, it's likely to look a lot more like this... Not something that looks like an actual consumer grade product.
  7. At last! Some actual gameplay! Seems like you have quite a few types of attack, with you being able to attack with the hunter alone, or with the monster you ride. Looks really cool!
  8. What is it with western developed Pokemon products and absolutely disgusting character art? Those avatars are just as foul as the TCG Online ones... How can they look at these and think they look OK!? YEEERRRGGHHHH!!! The hatching idea is cool though. That's what I wanted HG/SS to do with the Pokewalker, so it's cool that someone's finally doing it!
  9. I am actually quite surprised at how many people here seem to use it exclusively. It's higher than I would've expected! Of course I'd rather see more games like Splatoon and Starfox Zero, but if a Wii U game isn't going to use the two screens at the same time for something absolutely fundamental (like Mario Party 10 or Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water does), then there's absolutely no reason to not support Off TV play. If that NX controller leak is real, I'm glad to see that Nintendo are sticking with the two screen concept
  10. The technical issues don't help either (I blame myself for that, seen as I'm the "tech guy" here for these vids). Not the strongest start clearly, but ya know, things can only get better (they surely can't get much bloody worse :p ) Cheers for the input! We'll be sure that future episodes (and all of our site's future videos) will be ones you can be proud to watch! : peace:
  11. I simply use it if the TV isn't available. It's really convinient because you don't even have to stop playing or switch over to another device. You just switch the TV over and carry on (or press a button if the game requires you to). Same in reverse. Want to switch back to TV? Just turn it on and press the button as necessary. No swapping save files, no moving your console around. Easy Also handy if you want the TV on in the background while playing.
  12. Ubisoft were where all of the Wii U leaks came from. Wouldn't surprise me if they were responsible once again (the only thing that would surprise me is that Nintendo would be stupid enough to let them do it again :p )
  13. Now that looks a lot more realistic... It's a LOT smaller than the Gamepad. Looks like they really wanted to chop away all of the excess they possible could. This thing obviously must have a capacitive touchscreen, so it begs the question of whether or not they'll use one of those newfangled capacitive styli (like the one the iPad Pro uses), now that we're starting to see more accurate ones hit the market. As for the lack of face buttons... Well... Nintendo know the benefits of physical buttons better than anybody and they make the most well constructed controllers in the business. I wouldn't imagine that they'd do something like this unless they were really confident about their haptic technology... The control sticks remind me of the one on the SEGA Saturn 3D Pad... Which worked fine enough, though lacked the precision that we see in Nintendo's control sticks.
  14. Hey there! Episode 3 may have been delayed a bit, but to tide you over, we have some fresh faces for you to gawk at! It's our first feature length N-Europe Staff Super Chat! We totally didn't intend to have a snippet of this in what would've been Episode 3's release last weekend, absolutely not
  15. Well this is what happens when you announce your next console early. The media become primarily interested in the unannounced hardware and rumours/speculation steal all the attention. You reap what you sow :p
  16. From IT Media (Translated by Kotaku)... So they're not going to be stopping production within the next 2-3 quarters; that much we know now. Either way, I can't see them stopping before the NX Console actually releases, for reasons I've already mentioned. They'll probably stop a few months after the NX console launches, like they did with the Gamecube.
  17. They have indeed posted rumours before. Some turned out to be true and others have turned out to be wrong (I remember one of the rumours that they put out pre-3DS unveil stipulated that you'd be able to install your physical games onto your system - ALA Xbone/PS4...) It's very rare that Nintendo actually publicly comment on any form of rumours and speculation and whenever they do give out a flat out no, it does actually mean no. The only time that happened was with the DSi and that wasn't actually a denial. When Nintendo say no, they mean no. Mind you though, this response doesn't actually necessarily cover the whole of this year... just the next 2 or 3 quarters. Either way, the Wii U is not gonna get discontinued until after the NX console comes out. GCN was discontinued on February 22nd 2007, about 3 months after the Wii came out; so I'd expect something similar here.
  18. Still runs better than the 3DS does with 3D off :p It really is terrible on non New3DS devices. I wouldn't say unplayable, but it will certainly remind you of the N64 days...
  19. They already have very low inventory at the moment. We know that from the fact that they're suffering heavy shortages in Japan (and their inventory assets on their Financial Report has dropped heavily from last year), so they're clearly not holding a ton of them in their warehouses (unlike what that old rumour stipulated).
  20. Think about it this way, even if the NX console was due to come out this year, would Nintendo commit to that date so much that they'd stop Wii U manufacturing beforehand? What if the NX gets delayed? What if something goes wrong with the NX manufacturing process, or if the OS isn't ready in time? Would Nintendo really leave themselves with no backup plan? That's why I really doubt they're planning on stopping manufacturing so soon.
  21. They're suffering some manufacturing issues right now, hence the heavy shortages in Japan... Could be crossed wires, Chinese whispers etc. Could be more... Personally, I'd lean towards the former. Nintendo never stop manufacturing consoles before the launch of a successor! (Not usually until a good few years after it's already out - even the GCN kept going a fair bit after the Wii launched).
  22. My God! @Ashley wasn't kidding when he said that this was a terrible month for developers! First Lionhead, then Two Tribes, then 5th Cell, now Evolution! Damn... It's a massacre The British development scene is hanging on by a thread at this point!
  23. Sorry for slowing things down (work gets in the way ), but last week's MK Highlights video is going up at 21:00 tonight! @RedShell did an amazing job with this one. You're gonna love it, so stay tuned! : peace: And it's UP!!!! WAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. That's a shame. 45 employees is a LOT for a studio of their size. They've really struggled in the mobile realm; nothing of theirs has really taken off there.
