It's part of the investor's Q&A that they always do the day after releasing their results. Serkan Toto usually attends it and offers early translations, but the official English translation usually differs a fair bit and doesn't come out for a few days after; hence the caution I'm giving. You usually get a lot of sensationalist articles spun out of these early translations from places like GoNintendo, but they're often not really accurate... Edit: Sumo Digital's Snake Pass is coming to Switch! http://nintendoeverything.com/snake-pass-coming-to-switch/ First I've heard of this game. Actually looks really fun! (and Sumo Digital are good peeps, I trust them to make a good game) Looking forward to it! (1080p on TV, 720p on handheld BTW)

That VR quote sounds like a mistranslation to me. I get the feeling that it's meant to say that VR is something Nintendo is looking at, but will not consider until they find ways to solve the issues surrounding comfort and the anti-social nature of it (basically the same thing as what they said before a couple of months back); not that they actually currently have plans to actually incorporate it into Switch. As always, I advise waiting until the official translation of the investors' Q&A comes out in a few days. That price is encouragingly low though. Good to see that Nintendo isn't daring to charge the same price as PSN/XBL; there's no way they'd come off favourably in that comparison.

Funnily enough they ARE actually making a new Micro Machines! Here's hoping that it comes to Switch! I'd be much more interested in that than Dirt 4!

Eh? That seems pretty definitive to me. They outright said that people who backed it for the Wii U version can switch to the Switch version at no extra charge or have a refund; so obviously it's in the works for Switch. The only thing they haven't said is when the Switch version is coming out (which is perfectly understandable). I'm getting the Switch version as part of the Kickstarter (pledged £65, so I've already got the Toybox+ on Steam), but I might also buy it on Steam as well, depending on how long we have to wait for the Switch version. I'd rather play it on Switch than anything else, but I also don't really want to wait an eternity either.

No physical version on the cards right now then I see... Bit of a shame, but I suppose there are additional costs and logistical issues involved with the Switch game cards that they don't know how to solve yet. Hopefully they'll be able to offer it in the future. Great to see that they've gone gold already! Hope they get a well earned rest BTW: calling it now, Tantalus will be the ones porting it to Switch.

Presumably they add extra weight and Nintendo are trying to keep the controller weight down as much as possible?

Wow! I thought they had given up on Wii U VC releases in Europe! Great to see!

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1338549 Looks like Switch supports Download Play for certain games

Can't see the LA Noire remaster being real, least of all on Switch. Who would even make it? Team Bondi is no more. It also got a very poor reception post release (all the stuff about it was great, except for the gameplay itself). Nothing about this supposed remaster makes any sense.

Even so! Who wants two nearly identical looking controllers? (and heaven help you if you buy another set of grey ones...) Flashbacks to organising four sets of Wavebirds... ugh... (Why the hell they never released them in multiple colours is beyond me - and no! that really rare and expensive platinum one doesn't count!). Come on guys, everyone knows that more colours = more fun! It's scientific fact!

No longer a PS4 exclusive, NNK2 is now also coming to PC! http://www.rpgsite.net/news/5228-ni-no-kuni-ii-revenant-kingdom-is-coming-to-pc Wonder if the first game will also follow suit...

Ike and Marth being listed twice is so dumb. Might as well go ahead and list their Smash appearances as separate characters while you're at it :p

To be fair, what I heard could still well be in the pipeline. I'm surprised that it wasn't shown, but it could well have been saved till E3 for all I know (or it could just be bogus :p ). Either way, it's from a developer that we haven't seen announce their Switch projects yet, so who knows? I expected it to be there, but for whatever reason it just wasn't For what it's worth, the info I was given came from the same source that told me about Rabbids meets Mario RPG and Pokemon Stars; which were both no-shows but do have evidence of being in the works. So take from that what you will. Also I have no idea why anyone would pick grey over red/blue. Grey is so boring! Also, how the hell are you supposed to tell who's player 1 or 2? If anything, we need MORE colours, not less!

Disgaea isn't much of a strategy game TBH. It's much more heavily skewed towards the RPG side than the strategy. It's also a massive grindfest, the likes of which you have never seen before... It's funny though, some pretty funny writing in those games. But yeah, I hope you like grinding! Because that's what you're gonna be doing 99% of the time!

Fantastic news! All three games are absolutely brilliant and can't come recommended enough! Also great to see World of Goo on a modern console. Hasn't been re-released at all yet (outside of the iPad version); though it was of course playable on Wii U via the Wii's Shopping Channel. I wonder if it'll support HD rumble this time around? Good to see Tomorrow Corp continuing their longstanding Nintendo support : peace:

To be fair, the Wii U's web browser was pretty damn fantastic. It was my method of choice for Youtube and livestreams on the TV for a long time (until I got my Alienware Alpha to sit by my TV and handle all my media needs/PC games). If the Switch had a web browser of similar quality and interface of its own (but with better performance), I'd probably switch (HUHHUHHUH!) to using it. It's a tad sensationalist. The VC release of SMB1 on the Wii VC just so happens to use the same iNES header format as found in SMB1 ROMs online, but that doesn't prove that the ROM came from the internet. All it means is that the ROM header (which they would have to place on their own ROM that they would dig out from the archives/rip from a cart etc anyway) just uses the same format as iNES. They could've (and probably did) just placed an iNES header on a clean ROM file. Nintendo are actually really good about archiving their stuff and have re-released the game multiple times before (even before the VC was a thing - hell as far back as the SNES era even), so they almost certainly still have the game's ROMs and source code. Sure, you do have some incidents like with Link's Awakening; where upon disassembling the game's code, people found signs that the GBC game was actually a ROM hack/disassembly of the original B&W version, implying that Nintendo had lost the game's source code. But then again, they still have the physical paper maps that they used while making the bloody game, so.... yeah. As far as archival goes, Nintendo probably does it better than anyone else (Which is especially noteworthy as Japanese developers in general are notorious for being really bad at archival...).

Not much of a deal, but it's a start at least...

Make the analog sticks into googly eyes and you're sorted!

No way will YL come out in April on Switch. They only made the decision to... switch (HUHHUHHUH!) from Wii U a few months back and they're only a small team. How are they supposed to magic out a completed Switch version so fast? I'd bet on a September-October release at best (more realistically November-December), perhaps with some minor exclusive content to make up for the delay.

That's there to compensate for the 3DS' screen's low colour saturation. It looks more like the PS2 version on the actual device. Most 3DS games are overly saturated and bright for this very reason (OoT 3D VS the original being the most obvious example of this I can think of).

Well there's much more to TP's dungeons than just their general layout (Mark even admits this during the video). In particular, they have some brilliant puzzles and while they have the same kind of disconnected room designs (where the rooms don't interconnect with each other) as in Wind Waker, they're much larger and much more complex than in that game; this kind of design works better here and if it were as interconnected as the earlier games, it would likely feel overwhelming (Mark actually alludes to this as well), especially since they're the largest and most elaborate dungeons in the series by far. TP also does some cool things in regards to shaking up how dungeons work, be it the boss key pieces in Goron Mines, or the residential design of Snowpeak Ruins and its accompanying strange pacing. TP's dungeons also make great use of verticality, much moreso than in TWW. While it's cool to look at the dungeon layout and how the critical path is designed, it doesn't tell you all there is to know about how the dungeons are designed.

Probably not. I'm pretty sure you'd have to buy a points card that matches the region (just like with PSN/XBL). Foreign debit cards do work on the Japanese Wii/DSi/3DS/Wii U eShops/shopping channels though (I know this from personal experience), so chances are that you'll be able to just buy stuff using your card. No clue.

Some interesting stuff here... http://kotaku.com/nintendo-answers-and-avoids-our-switch-questions-1791402953?utm_campaign=Socialflow_Kotaku_Twitter&utm_source=Kotaku_Twitter&utm_medium=Socialflow So it looks like the eShop works the same way that the PSN and XBL stores do. Make an account for each region. At least I don't have to worry about not being able to get 60hz versions of VC games anymore!

Surprised that he didn't point out that you can never hold more than 1 key at a time in TP... But yeah, he's right. Lakebed temple is the best dungeon in that game for sure.

The multiplayer mode looks great! Reminds me a lot of Banjo Tooie's multiplayer; which me and my friends/family spent waaaayyyy too much time on! Hopefully they also have a multiplayer version of the inevitable end-of-game quiz show to go alongside the other minigames
