  1. Great to see they've put some real effort into this game. Looks like a real, fully featured and properly budgeted Bomberman; even the intro looks like a proper, silly and cheesy Bomberman intro! Last time we saw a proper BM release like this was back on the GCN with Bomberman Generations. Every other release since (even the good, internally made, ones like Bomberman DS and Bomberman Blast) was cut down to the bare essentials and were very low budget; so it's great to see them put some decent money behind it! Still feels like this came out of some alternate dimension where Konami didn't implode out of sheer stupidity. Nintendo must've paid them pretty handsomely!
  2. They did say that they're considering it though. I'd imagine that they'd just have it so that if you're using it with the currently played game, it just stops if you undock the console. No other way around it that I can see really. It's nice to have the option of using it I suppose. SD Card sizes still have a ways to go before they can viably take their place at a reasonable price (we'll get there within the next few years though). Whatever solutions they come up with for the GCN VC, I'm sure the GCN USB adapter will be one of them though; even if it only works in docked mode. Maybe some games just won't support handheld mode properly at all?
  3. What is there left to confirm? Only things I can think of are the VC (which probably won't be there for launch and may well not be available until the paid online service launches; as it's the only timeframe we have available to us), what the eShop looks like/account transfer details and what the paid online service will be like (which won't available until around September-November). Of those, the only big one that really needs to be spoken about before launch is the NNID transfer/eShop details; we know that the online service will be barebones and lacking in functionality until the Autumn and the VC clearly isn't ready yet, else they would've mentioned it by now. There's a system update coming in the future to enable USB 3 support (and probably USB HDD support alongside it) and the video capture feature; probably will come out when the paid online service launches in Autumn; but they're not gonna commit to an exact date yet because they probably don't know when it'll be ready for sure yet. Otherwise we probably won't hear anything else until E3 now, outside of release dates for ARMS, Splatoon 2 and MK8DX outside Japan (though I'd be shocked if it didn't come out on the same day worldwide; April 28th). I expect the VC to be announced there, alongside with details about the online service and the upcoming System Update.
  4. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1343053 Spectator mode confirmed! (Up to 2 spectators in Private Matches) Also confirms that there's a wired LAN mode as well (just like the Wii U original), so it's not wireless LAN only.
  5. Anyone here heard of Gameseek? Looks like they're doing an offer soon where you can pre-order the Switch for £198.50 (in-line with them honouring their pre- price announcement pre-order price). https://www.gameseek.co.uk/video-gaming-news/2858/nintendo-switch-back-on-sale-%A3198.50-at-gameseek It does indeed, the problem with requiring that though is that it makes the games unplayable in portable mode since the dock is what has all the USB ports...
  6. Speedrunners and Towerfall as well please!

    Arms

Ooh! You can mix and match weapon types! Why did I never think of that!? The strategy potential just exploded there!
  8. Yes it is. All versions of it support online play. Probably because of the extra cost associated with printing a Switch Game Card VS a disc. The digital version on Switch is actually cheaper in the US and is the same price as the PS4 physical version (there is no digital PS4 version due to licensing issues with Ubisoft). Yes you can play them as individual games if you want.
  9. Same. I've played the PS3 demo and it's a ton of fun. Been looking to get it on import for a long time but the import prices are still crazy, even 5-6 years on! Couldn't think of a more ideal console for it though than Switch. Everything surrounding this game's localisation is just crazy and a downright miracle! Can't wait to finally get it! Been waiting a long time!
  10. Well now, how about some good news about a good game (or two, technically!) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1342046 Puyo Puyo Tetris comes out April 28th in Europe! (And there's a snazzy new trailer below) Still can't believe that we're finally getting it! And on Switch no less!
  11. Joy-Con Rotate reminds me heavily of Design from Game & Wario; only this time, each player sets the angle/length to copy! They all use it, just that seven of them seem to have their gameplay specifically built around it.
  12. Maybe, but we haven't really seen it there's any hidden depth or other modes available. If they have some sort of tourney mode like the challenge train in Nintendo Land, it could be a pretty fun multiplayer mainstay. It definitely channels that same Wario Ware/Game & Wario vibe, so it'll surely be a hoot just seeing your friends act like morons, even if you've played it before.
  13. Of course Ronnie is allowed to share his opinion (even if I feel he's being unreasonable regarding the game's visuals). It's a shame that he can't seem to see the positives with this game though, because he'd probably love it if he gave it a fair shake (speaking as someone who's played the Toybox + and who loves the original BK/BT games). Edit: Oh! BTW, the option to switch your Kickstarter copy from Wii U to Switch is now available on Backerkit. Just did mine.
  14. It's a multiplayer party game, that's where the replay value comes in. I don't think there's much of a single player aspect to it, but it's the kind of thing you'd bust out when you've got friends around.
  15. This is a Kickstarter game, made by around 15 people, looking to make a game that evokes the look, feel and gameplay of N64 era Banjo Kazooie with modern tools and technology. You're comparing it to games made by Nintendo, with multimillion dollar budgets and teams of anywhere from 75-150 people large. Nobody here is attacking your precious Nintendo games. Instead of moaning about why it doesn't look as high end as AAA titles, why not look at it for what it is? A modern day Banjo Kazooie, made by an N64 dev sized team made up primarily of people who worked on the original BK/BT games. That alone is reason enough to get excited by this game! Let alone the fact that it looks like a ton of fun!
  16. Japanese site just had a massive update https://www.nintendo.co.jp/switch/aacca/index.html Reveals a lot more games, including Sword Fight, Shaver, Baby and more! Getting a real Game & Wario vibe from these games here (especially the names and title screens). Baby in particular looks freakin' hilarious The site also seems to confirm that there's a total of 28 games in the package. 1 is single player - seems to be Baby. 1 is potentially played by any number of people - seems to be Soda. 7 require the HD rumble. 1 is playable in portable mode (different from table-top mode) - Seems to be Baby.
  17. Oh, NOW we get a Square Enix game! Bit late! Kinda weird that we get this one only and not March of the Black Queen, considering that we got it on the Wii VC, but ahh well. It's a good 'un guys! Brilliant, brilliant game! Any fan of strategy RPGs (and those with a lot of patience) would do well to dive right into this one
  18. I doubt the bolded will happen. Mario Kart Battle Mode has always been 50cc; that's nothing new (you do need it to be slower in order to aim properly and move more precisely), so I really doubt that they'll add the option for faster speeds. I just hope they have an option for the classic Elimination style of play from the first 5 MK games (timed Battle Mode is just nowhere near as fun). Nice impressions though. Not long to wait now
  19. Anyone else here expecting the VC to not be ready at launch? Aye. The early days of the VC were like Xmas every week! It was amazing being able to play all these classics I'd always wanted to get around to, as well as old favourites with enhanced visual quality and new features like Suspend Saves. While the Wii U VC had its moments, it was certainly much less exciting than the first time around, simply because the releases were much more sparse and less consoles were supported. Man, I'm pining for the early days of the VC to return. 'member when we'd get 3-4 games a week? I couldn't even imagine that happening again!
  20. I'm always gonna go back and replay these games at some point, so I keep them all. I don't buy One-And-Done games (The few I have done, like Gears of War, got sold). Some doubles of games I get that don't need anymore either get given to friends/family (firstly) or sold (secondly, if they don't want it).
  21. I don't like the idea of lumping all of the independant (not "indie", that's near enough a derogatory word now) games into one thread. It signifies that they're not worthy of getting threads of their own and aren't "full" or "real" or "worthy" games in their own right.
  22. Another new announced game for Switch... Supposedly uses HD Rumble to let you feel how fast you're moving and what angle you're moving at. Cool
  23. Looks like a lot of fun, and Sumo Digital are good peeps. Looking forward to this one
  24. Of course it will, what's the alternative for those that want to play Ninty games online? That being said, it does mean that we're getting online play for Virtual Console. That does soften the blow at least. I don't know if I'll bother though, I really don't play online very often (except for the MK League and the occasional game).
  25. Oh that's great news! Jackbox is absolutely PERFECT for Switch! Hopefully we'll get the earlier games re-released for it as well!
