I've barely had any time with the machine but I've accepted a few of your friend requests from those of you that know me from Miitomo. I'll add my FC here on the site and get adding some of you tomorrow when I finally get a chance to play it proper. Agreed. The lack of menu/eShop music is deafening. I literally had to stick on a Mii Maker music playlist while setting up some Miis because it felt so incredibly wrong having nothing playing in the background! That being said, have you read through the articles in the "News" section that tell you about how to use the system? The writers clearly had a lot of fun there 'cause it's a great laugh

I was wondering where he's been... Didn't want to bother him about it though. If you're reading this though @RedShell, all the best! : peace:

Is anyone else having trouble buying things from the eShop? I can't seem to use my card right now...

DISPATCHED!!!! Finally! Roll on tomorrow!

Something that will be annoying for owners of multiple Switches... http://m.uk.ign.com/articles/2017/03/02/nintendo-switch-save-data-stored-internally-only-cannot-currently-be-transferred I REALLY hope that we get cloud saves sooner rather than later... BTW. My Amazon order still hasn't shipped... Looks like they've failed me

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1349149 Ooh! You can get My Nintendo gold coins from retail Switch games!

You can change an account's region without restrictions, but you can't do so until that account has zero balance remaining in its wallet. So if you just want to have one account, you can do so.
-
She also confirmed that her UK account could be used to play downloaded JPN games and that DLC has to match the region of the game (so UK BOTW can't use JPN DLC for example). So it's just like how it is on PS4. UK debit cards also seem to work on the US and JPN stores with no issues. Great to hear! No BS, no fuss. No 50hz VC games for me!

Got my copy. Now I just need a Switch to play it on...

If it was like how it was on 3DS, then yes I'd get upset about it because it's crap (and Wii/DS is basically totally unusable), but this isn't bad. It's the same as on Wii U, just with a number instead of a username. Plus there are other options too.
-
That's not too bad then. They got the most important bit right at least. It's only a little less convenient than before in that case. Edit: Friend request image...

In brighter news, the Switch Pro Controller feels really great! Very premium feeling. D-pad is godlike! (It's so tight! Feels very very solid) The shoulder buttons and Zl/Zr buttons actually have a little give to them, they feel most similar to the SNES shoulder buttons and the face buttons feel kind of like the GCN and SNES ones. Not clicky, a little bit of give and a bit soft. They feel like they'd be good for button mashing. The ZL/ZR buttons have a lovely little groove on the back of them that feels really great. The design really melts in your hands! Also it's transparent and that makes it automatically awesome! Analog sticks are quite similar to the Wii U Gamepad/Pro Controller. A little tighter and obviously concave rather than convex, but otherwise very similar (AKA, very nice). The other buttons are clicky and recessed. They feel very responsive and you're unlikely to accidentally hit them. The NFC touchpoint is just between those four recessed buttons, on the Switch logo. Overall it feels like a really great controller, very comfortable, buttons/d-pad feel great and it has a real premium feel to it (there's a nice heft to it too - not cheap feeling like past Pro Controllers). Looking forward to giving it a proper workout tomorrow! Also got my official carry case today. Very nice, has a little compartment to fit more games in (there's 5 game card slots, but there's an additional space if you want to put more in loose). Also has a built-in kickstand for the console! Very nice! I refkon it might actually be possible to fit a 3DS and a Switch in there. Will have to give it a try... (the kickstand covers the screen and is conviniently also big enough to cover a 3DS/3DSXL, so it looks like it might work!).

No excuses. It's absolutely ludicrous. Hell we already have unique usernames, why not just use those!? Thankfully I already have pretty much everyone I'd want to add ready to go via Miitomo, but still! Absolute insanity! The fact that they even call them Friend Codes is the most utterly tone deaf thing. They know exactly how much people hate them, and yet they even use the same name. Talk about shooting themselves in the foot!

Pro Controller is here! Time to play with it on PC while I wait for my Switch!

Ultra Street Fighter 2 - The Final Challengers (2017)
Dcubed replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
New game mechanics too, like being able to escape throws. It's a new version like how Super Street Fighter 2 was an update of SF2 Turbo. 2 new characters (who are basically pallette swaps) is a bit crap though. I do think the price is a tad high though. £24.99 would be a nice price over here in the U.K for a physical copy. -
The Switch Parental Controls app is out now on iOS and Android. Considering that this app includes the Activity Log, some of you might be interested in getting it. Edit: Here's a direct link to the iOS listing https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id1190074407

Still waiting for my Amazon order to ship... Come on guys! don't let me down here!

Ultra Street Fighter 2 - The Final Challengers (2017)
Dcubed replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
http://nintendoeverything.com/ultra-street-fighter-ii-the-final-challengers-launches-may-26-in-japan/ Comes out May 26th in Japan! (Probably the same week worldwide). That's much earlier than I thought it would be. Nice! -
I suspect that it'll get ported to other platforms eventually, like how the original Bit Trip series did, but this being an exclusive is still a big surprise nonetheless!
-
It has indeed! At last!!! That game belongs on a Nintendo console and I can't think to a platform more perfect for it than Switch! Can't bloody wait!

Nintendo eShop Direct - 28th Feb 2017 17.30GMT
Dcubed replied to Falcon_BlizZACK's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Is that... is that... TOWERFALL ASCENSION I SEE!?!? Oh my God! Yes!!! Finally! It was criminal that it never came to Wii U! It belongs on a Nintendo console! That's a total must have for anyone who wants a good local multiplier game! -
Looks like my Amazon order is getting dispatched tomorrow... Still possible for me to get it early I suppose, but I'm feeling doubtful... At least my accessories that I ordered from the UK Nintendo store have shipped. So at least I know that I can play around with the pro controller and charger on Thursday
-
Impatiently awaiting my delivery... Annoyingly enough, I'm actually working on March 3rd, so I'm praying that my console arrives a day early since I have Thursday off. I've got two Switches coming (one for me and one for my sister - I needed more Joycons and another dock anyway ), Zelda BOTW, Super Bomberman R, 1,2,Switch, an official carry case (I don't normally bother with these things, but I'm not carrying this thing around with its exposed screen and protruding analogs, it's just begging to be broken!) and a Pro Controller. Will also get Shovel Knight Treasure Trove, FAST RMX and Snipperclips from the eShop on day 1 too. Not gonna bother with an SD Card until I need it (prices will be cheaper and sizes will be bigger the longer I wait). There's also a Switch launch thingy hapenning at the Loading bar on Thursday and they're doing a 1,2,Switch tourney there. Might go there with some friends that night to celebrate Feels great to be able to look forward to a new Nintendo console launch. New beginnings and a fresh start is still so exciting even after all this time!

The controllers are seperate from the console and it acts like a console when docked (no handheld display, higher performance, split screen multiplayer etc). Ergo, it's not just a handheld with TV out.
