Your only option for getting the VC releases of RBY and GSC now are either buying a second hand 3DS that already has them installed, or by piracy. You are correct, and Let's Go does have compatibility with Pokemon Home, so you could transfer them. That being said, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl has all of the first 150 Pokemon obtainable in-game anyway, there aren't any Pokemon that you can only get via Let's Go.

Nope. Western Arcade releases went by the Bust A Move name… that being said though, Japanese NeoGeo MVS carts and systems were commonly imported because they were cheaper than their English counterparts (and all MVS carts contain both language versions of their respective games; the version of choice being determined by the MVS bios in use on the system itself), so you may well have seen Puzzle Bobble as the name in your local arcade! -
It’s actually not strictly a nerf. It means that it won’t eat your Steel Cards you have in your hand anymore; meaning that Vampire + Steel Joker sets are now viable. In that sense, it’s a bit of a buff in that it gives you more control over what you want to feed the Vampire card with now. That halved mult increase is a pretty brutal nerf though… to the point where Vampire might not be worth using at all anymore.

Those are some pretty significant design changes… Not sure how I feel about changing the game design so significantly post release… feels a bit George Lucasey for my liking…

Nice one! It really does complete the Analogue Pocket experience. Well pleased with my one

This just so happens to be the single rarest and most expensive retail game for the N64 on the second-hand market, owing to its limited distribution. ... probably not worth near enough a grand I reckon. -
Ooh! Burnout 3 is another one that really should've come out on the Gamecube. The GCN got Burnout 2, but never Takedown or Revenge; which is a real shame. Actually, the loss of Burnout in general is a huge shame in general. Only EA could take such a simple, successful concept and manage to run it and its developer into the ground like that (a developer that also basically had a monopoly on multiplatform development middlware in the PS2/GCN/Xbox era with the Renderware engine to boot!). Man, I miss Burnout

Have been spinning this one up again myself as well since the Synchrony DLC finally came to Switch. Man, I am so rusty at this game it hurts Have been looking to play through all 5 zones again from start to finish as a segmented run before reattempting an All Zones run. Managed to get through Zone 1 without too much trouble, but Zone 2 is kicking my arse! It's such a huge difficulty jump! I hate those damn Mushrooms and Shield Skeletons! They get me every time!

I haven’t got anything to add about Forsaken 64, but I do have something for you @Cube… I just bought Puzzle Bobble: Everybubble on Switch (it’s currently on sale) and you’ll be pleased to hear that it includes a colourblind option! Nice to see that Taito took the feedback to heart -
Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack: N64 & SEGA Mega Drive (& GBA!!)

It’s a bit tricky to learn. Basically you want to hold down A at the start until right before the word GO appears, then quickly let go of A and quickly hold it down again. Time it right at the end and you should get the rocket start. -

Not true. The Saturn version is available on Switch as part of City Connection’s S-Tribute series. The NeoGeo version is also available via Arcade Archives. And the enhanced Taito F3 Arcade version (Puzzle Bobble 2X) is also available via the Egret 2 Mini. Sorry Cube, but you’re triply wrong this time -
Heads up for all you normies that play Switch games on Switch, Crypt of the Necrodancer is getting new DLC that adds Hatsune Miku as a playable character… … out now on PC, coming to Switch & PS4 later on (soz Xbox). Of even more importance though… https://www.nintendo.co.uk/DLC/Crypt-of-the-NecroDancer-SYNCHRONY-2541723.html Synchrony is now out on Switch!!! FINALLY!! This DLC pack was previously Steam exclusive and adds a bunch of new characters, stages, weapons and stuff… including online co-op multiplayer and even mod support (yes, even on console!) I honestly thought we’d never get Synchrony and that they had just given up on the non PC versions of the game. Glad to hear that’s not the case! (soz Xbox… err, again I mean)

I… did not know that! Suddenly this game makes a lot more sense now! I’ve not played this one as I’ve never really enjoyed single player Bomberman much (multiplayer is always a hoot though). But I’d definitely try it if it came to the N64 NSO service (and considering that it’s 2/2 with both the Wii and Wii U VC services? I think it’s a likely future candidate ). -

This was the beginning of NOA’s partnership with Left Field Productions; which lasted from 1998-2002, ending with NBA Courtside 2002 for the GameCube. They put out some… throughly ok games. The partnership quickly fell apart when Minoru Arakawa and Howard Lincoln left NOA and when Iwata took over from Yamauchi. While I can’t say that their loss was massive for Nintendo as a whole? They certainly helped to fill a sports-shaped hole in the N64’s library and it’s a shame that they couldn’t do the same for the GameCube, as it could’ve really done with their support… -
OMG! The card you unlock for throwing away a Royal Flush is NUTS! Just imagine it combined with Blueprint… But yeah, happy to finally beat Ante 8 with the minimum number of rounds

Those graphics look really good for N64! Huge step up from other baseball games we’ve seen. Wonder who made… ahh, it’s Iguana… that explains everything. -
I’ll always have a soft spot for a game where punching yourself in the face is the path to victory. Also Minwu hates doors.

Analogue have the Dock in stock right now for the regular RRP of $99...

The run's finally dead... So sad... If only I could've gotten just one more King in the hand, I would've done it...
-
I hope SNK do another one of those NGP collections at some point. There's still a good few games on that system I'd like to try out and I'm sure they could scrounge up enough to make for a worthwhile Vol 3... and hey! We've now even got the 8bitdo Neo Geo CD controller! So we can even enjoy the games with their original clicky stick control method! I mean, literally every other version of the original Cotton has been re-released on some sort of modern device (Even the bloody Sharp x68000 version is available on Switch!), might as well finish the job.
-
Yeah, Cotton got around a lot back in the day! It's only very recently these last few years that she's gotten a sudden huge revival out of nowhere! Once Rainbow Cotton gets re-released, every single Cotton game will be available on modern platforms; which is pretty amazing! These are all of the Cotton games in release order and their original platforms that they came out on... Pretty much all of the Cotton games are solid shooters... though I hear that Rainbow Cotton is the odd duck in that it's supposedly a bit naff... still, gotta complete that collection when it gets re-released anyway!
-
Panorama Cotton is an incredible technological achievement for the Mega Drive and probably the best rail shooter on the console... but there's not exactly much competition there (Space Harrier 2 is a bit of a dud, and the various Super Scaler ports just don't crunch down well to a system that has no support for hardware scaling). The other Cotton games are better overall though, being more traditional horizontal shmups that are much better suited to the hardware of the day; and solid entries in the genre to boot. Not that PC is bad or anything, it's just that the MD hardware was really ill suited for this kind of game and it makes the action very difficult to follow. I respect the technical achievement on display though!

BTW, the official soundtrack is now available for sale on Steam for £2.49. It's also officially up on Youtube too...
