So whats all the fun and games with 8.8 Great?
That Guy replied to dannbrownn's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Without the score I agree with everything the review says. But for me, the flaws he lists are not enough to drag the game down by 1.2/10. I'm loving this game so far, and I can't stand OOT. It really bores me to tears. I just think that if you sat down and watched that review and nobody told you the score, you wouldn't have any issue with it, and thats the gripe many people have I think. -
Wii Porn (Post your Wii setup: 56k warning!)

Excellent, I might get one of those. Was it about £500? -
LOL I wasn't a fan of 360, then some good games came out and I've loved it ever since. I've always loved Wii and Zelda so far, I was just concerned at the lack of games over the next few months, and I've just said I don't know if PS3 is worth it, I think I might just stick with the 360.

Triforce, is that the tv from a thread in the tech forum posted a month or 2 back? If so, how good does it look in standard def? I mean tv in general not just the Wii. -
It doesn't, it actually gets on my nerves a bit when a game is slagged off for copying other games. Sure originality is nice, but I'd rather a game that nicks the best bits off other games than a crap game thats never been done before. I'm really considering getting a PS3 now. Might pre order one and then decide whether to keep it or sell it. Still not sure if it's worth it. I mean, what games are out on it in the next year? (Thats a real question btw, I don't know any...)
-
I'm pretty sure you can, you get an ethernet cable, and a months free trial to live. Definitely worth it to get it for the year though. Gears of War with people online is brilliant. I'm clearly a tosser who can't make his mind up. I've just pre ordered Lost Planet.

That's really hard. There's not anything I want right now. I've just had all the dvd's I wanted for xmas. My 360 has all the games I want for it, and Wii has obviously only just come out and therefore has sod all games, and there's nothing I want for DS until March. I'd probably look round WH Smiths for a new book, maybe buy a new album off iTunes, and maybe buy a film. And a really nice lunch.

I'm the same, I think a stupid ammount about different things. I like my own company, but I like to know someone's around. If I'm the only person in the house I hate it if it's for too long. That's why I love having my own room, just chatting on the computer, watching Planet Earth and playing Zelda. What I want to do is move in with someone quiet.

I was thinking about buying a PS2 but I already spend too much on games. I might sell some actually.

Pikmin 2, and Monkey Ball. Not RPGs but I've never played any Cube ones
-
Woah woah woaaaaah, sweet baby jesus and the orphans! Project Gotham Racing 3 is FUCKING brilliant. Can't believe you got Oblivion for so cheap. It's a really great game, one of my favourites on 360 so far. Does Splinter Cell get better the more you play? Because I haven't enjoyed it much so far. But it might just be because I haven't put much time into it.

I absolutely hate Monkey Ball, and I loved the first one so much. Multiplayer is rubbish, and you really have to wade through piles of crap before finding something good to play. And the single player just isn't the same as it used to be. I just want to go back to using an analogue stick. I hate having to jump, I hate that the levels aren't the really thin ones you have to balance on, I detest having bosses in the game, and I don't know what's happened to the 'just one more go' feeling of the game, because I can't put it down quick enough. The first one was stupidly hard but you always felt in control, and you always knew it was your fault when you fell off, and you always felt like if you tried once more, you'd make it past the level. I hate this new one. *Cries*

Has Your Opinion Changed On The Controller And Name?
That Guy replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in Nintendo Gaming
A question to you all. Is it better than using a normal pad? I know I love aiming in Zelda, but the sword fighting is annoying when I'm up against a standard enemy and just want to sit back and relax. And I think I hate Monkey Ball. Although Wii Sports is excellent, and would obviously be crap were it not for the controller. What do you think? -
I don't even like Monkey Ball like I do the original.
-
Yeah, the fact you split money between the 2 as well is a nice touch. How do you delete gardens though?

I knew it was going to be a couple of weeks yet, which gives me a chance to play loads of Zelda, but I want to go back to Gears, cus it's one of my favourite games. You can change that in the menu. It was only the first Shenmue that you had to play through with the d-pad. I'm mainly going to go back to all the games I have that haven't had much of a look in. Wii is still taking up plenty of time right now, and will do for a few weeks yet, then there's Wario Ware to pick up, but after that it's a couple of months until the next game. I'm going to finish Gears, play a load of online, and hopefully do that co-op with Tak. But I also have Hitman, Splinter Cell, Viva Pinata, Prince of Persia, Shenmue 2, and maybe even Halo to play still. So a lack of games for the next couple of months might not be a bad thing.

Okami is a game that interests me as well. Damn needing so many consoles.
-
The more Wii games the better. Most people wont know it's meant to be a GC game anyway.
-
That's what I was talking about anyway Sega = EA wannabe's
-
Was that this year? I think both that and Ico look like they'd be really good, and just my type of game. If I ever buy a PS3 I'm going to have to pick these 2 up.
-
I guess thats a good point. Still wont buy it though, not sure why, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I might buy it in the summer when there's nothing coming out. Still got to give Splinter Cell and Hitman a go soon. I've given up on Dead Rising and Sonic. Hate both of them. When Taks back is anyone up for some online Gears?
-
It's about time Sega got their act together, pull together their best games and update them. I'm sick of bullshit Sega games.

I asked a girl out a couple of months ago at work, we went out, she went back to uni and got back with her boyfriend 2 days later. Which was nice.
-
That's not normal, mine makes no noise at all. Played the Lost Planet demo last night, which I just found very average. I wont buy it in January, although the graphics (especially explosions) are amazing. Not sure what my next 360 purchase will be. Need to look at the release list, but that might be it for a couple of months now, concentrate on Viva Pinata, Zelda, and Gears.
