Building a computer is really easy. I built my first one in under 30 minutes. The instructions will come with the motherboard and you just need to plug everything into their slots. Waiting for Windows to install takes a lot longer. http://www.ebuyer.com is great if you do decide to build one yourself. You could even copy one off pcspecialist.

I'll be going on holiday to Cornwall with my girlfriend in August. Cant wait. Other than that, it will be work work work. Once you leave school, Summer no longer exists other than outside the window and at lunch times.

Thats what they advertise, but their terms and conditions have it down as 1GB. Thats still more than the competition offers with their "unlimited" internet. If you want any more, they offer a 3GB add on for £14.99 or so. "Unlimited Data Fair Use Limit: 1 GB each month" http://www.three.co.uk/personal/shop_/add_ons_/terms.omp They have another add on that gives you 3GB, but it costs £15... If you are a 3 customer, you can get a 3GB dongle at half price for £7.50.

That's exactly what I'm going to do. I tested my phone last night and got a speed of 460kbps... I was expecting more, but its perfectly good for browsing the internet with. I checked my balance with 3 and they didnt charge me. I have their £5 X-Series 1GB add on. Just make sure you dont exceed your usage limit, I've read stories of people ignoring theirs and getting £200,000 bills.

Wow, well I got my N95 8GB yesterday and it's great. It's really growing on me. When I first unopened the box and switched it on, the handset seemed rather cheap and plasticy compared to my E65, but its really growing on me. Im having fun downloading a tonne of software and everything looks great on its 2.8 screen. The screen is good for youtube and the S60 browser isnt that bad either. Its pretty speedy..the HSDPA loads everything as quickly as my home broadband connection and I haven't tried it using Opera Mobile 8.65 yet. The back button on the browser gives you a choice of what page you want to return back to. It saves having to click back several times to get to where you want to go. The sound is really good! It has stereo speakers and playing music through them is a joy. Music sounds the best when you turn on stereo widening. It doesnt sound too bad through earphones either. I really like the ability to have a 3D ringtone. It adds an eerie character to whatever mp3 you choose. The handset is very fast and there aren't any memory problems. Google maps in satellite view is really fast! Its almost seamless. I havent tried takings pics or videos just yet because there are just too many new settings to get to grips with. I'm loving it.:awesome: Just having it switched on feels as if its sucking all of the energy from the earth. The 8GB of extra storage is superb. Nokia Maps looks ok for directions and finding specific places of interest. The GPS is telling google maps that Im in some office building 1km away from where I actually am though. Maybe it works better outside.. The handset itself is actually rather small. It just looks big because its shaped like a brick. If your house was made out of these, then it would be able to travel through space and time.:p

Does it have a little reset button somewhere? Good luck on getting it working again.

"Nokia N95 8GB Software Update Nokia N95 8GB Software version 15.0.015 released. This software version includes Flash Lite 3 support which enables users to watch Flash video Web sites such as YouTube and improved power consumption allow you to do more for longer. Other improvements include WLAN and browser stability, email viewing and Nokia Maps startup." http://europe.nokia.com/A4491301 Im not sure of when that became available, but it looks as if the 8GB does do flash and they have made improvements to its web browsing. Doesnt the 8GB have twice the RAM of the original N95? If so, I doubt its any slower and it has a bigger screen. It handles multitasking much better. I'm upgrading to an N95 8GB this Friday. I kind of froze my E65 to death yesterday and cant wait for an N96. EDIT: Yep, the original N95 only has 64MB, while the N95 8GB has 128MB of memory: http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n95-1716.php http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n95_8gb-2088.php It seems like the N96 and N95 8GB share the same camera, memory, screen size and resolution. The N96 battery is also smaller... it will be interesting to see what it excels at. I prefer proper buttons on a phone.

How Much Would You Have To Be Paid To Eat Human Flesh?
Pyxis replied to ReZourceman's topic in General Chit Chat
I'd pay £100 if I could choose who it was and kill them myself. -
Wow, it looks as if that version of the 4800+ is actually a few pence more expensive than the 5000+. If it eats less power and runs cooler, then that's great. I got an extra .2 ghz from my AMD Athlon 3500+ 2.2ghz really easily with stock cooling, so if I did go for the 4850+ hopefully 2.8ghz wont be a problem. I could drop the memory card reader and get a better fan I suppose. Then I could try overclocking it a bit more (..errr, maybe not...) It's a shame that ATI are releasing a new series of graphics cards soon.. Technology is so annoying at times!

Hi Guys, My current PC's case fan hasn't been working for a good 6 months now and my old X1600 graphics card has finally given up after the fan got clogged up with dust and stopped working.:awesome: 512mb of my RAM failed over a year ago and my PC has been running on 512mb of 667mhx ever since... It's time to build a new PC! I've already got a 160GB SATA HDD that I want to keep and my motherboard supports up to 800mhz DDR2 and X2 AM2 processors, so I want to keep those 2 components. I've flashed my BIOS yesterday, so it should be up to date. This is what I am currently thinking of: AMD Athlon X2 5000+ Energy Efficient 2.6Ghz (I will overclock to 2.8Ghz) @ £53.20 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/135663# Kingston 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 Memory @ £29.99 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/129954 PowerColor HD 3650 512MB DDR2 Dual DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card @ £40.99 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/140261 Pioneer BDC-202 Blu-Ray Reader 12X DVD±RWDL/RAM SATA Black @ £78.74 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130747 I-Cute Black UL01 Mid Tower Case With Side Window and 12cm Blue LED Fan @ £20.97 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/121074# Extra Value All in 1 Internal Card Reader Plus One USB2.0 Port (Black) @ £5.75 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/108453# Microsoft OEM Windows Vista Home Premium x64Bit Edition @ £59.06 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/123067 Total = £282.70 Is that a good mix? Is the graphics card overkill or should I even get a better one? I'm not too fussed about games, but I want this PC to last for a good 2 years.

Thanks you two. I suppose the best thing to do would be to have a good look around on manufacturers' websites.

Hey Guys, How much electricity do TVs actually consume? I'm looking for a new 32 inch HDTV for my room, although no websites appear to state the amount of watts they use. Are there any TVs in particular that dont consume that much electricity? I'd like one with freeview built in.
-
Yeah, its not a good option if you're mainly after storage and arent willing to pay £170 for 16GB. It's just a very well rounded PMP. Im more than happy to transfer music and videos to and from my P2 while its charging.

I have a Samsung P2 and the sound quality is amazing. It has a very decent battery life (30 hours), a 3 inch touchscreen widescreen and its heavily supported by Samsung, so you can look forward to plenty of firmware updates. There have been some major firmware updates since it has been released and there are more to come. A lot of the people here seem to have a Zen, but it looks really cheap. It only has a 2.5 inch screen and its GUI just looks dull and boring. Its cheaper, but you get what you pay for when it comes to these 2. The P2 has a tonne of sound options (listening to music through a P2 is like listening to all of your favourite music for the very first time all over again) and the amount of extras it has is just more than you could hope for. The touchscreen is really great to use and it has a few dedicated buttons on the side for sound and playing/pausing. You can get the 8GB version for 129.99 and the 4GB at 99.99 here: http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop/MP3_Players.1/Samsung.83/YP-P2JCB_XEU/Samsung_YP-P2_8GB_Bluetooth_Portable_Media_Player.2689.html 4th firmware update: It will even have an underground map. I could go on about this thing forever because it is perfect. I dont see why I would possibly need a new MP3 player ever again. I suppose it could do with a web browser like the ipod touch, but there are phones for that.

Well just imagine having access to all of that information, you could know absolutely everything about any person you wanted to. Creepy... -
If this is true, it's crazy! Why should 60 million people lose all the rights to their privacy because of a few terrorists? http://www.vnunet.com/vnunet/news/2217073/government-plans-database-phone

Hi, Your website doesnt actually work if you try to access it via Opera. When you click on the review or poll menus, nothing happens...

If this happens, it will be the best thing ever. I'll buy a Wii again if I can play Shenmue without the awful loading times.

Is there one? What do you think it is? To read a good book and to have a nice walk every now and again, maybe? Perhaps we over complicate the reason for our existence, but what is it? 42? Discuss!

I traded my Wii in for an Xbox 360 and the only thing I miss is the Virtual Console. Now I can wait for Nintendo to release a black Wii with a hard drive and some games that arent PS2 ports.
