A new version of the Wii firmware was made available today - version 2.1E. Just go to your Wii Settings and choose "Wii System Update" on the third page. I didn't notice anything different after the update. Did you?

That's why I wrote the second paragraph. Culture, technology, social work, family, an organized society - those are all things that work towards ensuring the species' future survival. A "secondary objective", if you want to call it that.

Our purpose in life is reproduction, to perpetuate the species, to transmit your genes to the next generation, just like every other species in existence. Since we obviously can't spend all of our time making babies, in the meantime, you can spend your time making the world a better place for yourself and the species as a whole, thus improving the species' chances to survive in the future. Everything else is just background. Happiness is all about egoism, although the feeling of fulfillment is necessary to keep a balanced mind. If you don't feel fulfilled, just get something interesting and productive to do - just don't spend all of your time wondering about "your purpose", since the answer is simple and clear, as stated.

These screenshots are really, really, really awful, and there's no excuse for them. Does Koei want their games not to sell on the Wii?

If someone imports it, please let us know how Freeloader deals with it... I'm not going to import unless I'm absolutely sure that it is compatible with Freeloader.

That's a really nice one. From the initial ones, I'd suggest either the Opel Vectra or the Renault Laguna. I'll probably be buying a car soon, too. My 2000 Peugeot 206 is nearing 150.000 km, and I've got to get at least a car with back doors, because of my kid. Since I've had a good experience with Peugeot, I'll probably end up buying an used 307.

I'm also from Portugal, but I am not much of a "counter buyer"... my previous experience with gaming shop employees is not very pleasant. I'd rather pick the article up from the shelf, and that's probably why I'll end up buying in Fnac or something.

It renewed my interest in console gaming, which had been dead ever since I sold my SNES.

I've been thinking (and saying) this ever since they anounced "Raid over the River". This game (and RotR) does not exist.

- Sonic Heroes. The Sonic fan inside me cried, and cried, and cried... - Lost Kingdoms. Completed it. Asked "Is that all there is to it?". Sold it. - Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. The glitch ruined it. Is there someone who didn't get it?

NiBRIS has confirmed that RotR will be for DS only. Check their website for confirmation.

This thread should have been initiated after E3, and not before. Wait for it, and see. But yeah, an awful lot of kid's games being announced. It doesn't worry me, though. Why? Well, you just have to look at my GameCube backlog to find out. I don't have much time to play, and I take my time with games. A few must-have quality titles from Nintendo will be enough for me.

Hey, SNK: What about some new games, for a change?

Does anyone remember this? Nintendo could be bringing the Cruis'n series back - an arcade driving game which is Nintendo's answer to Sega's Outrun. If so, please don't let it suck. "Cruis'n Wii" anyone?

Three words: Space. Channel. Five. If there ever was a game which waiting for the Revolution to appear, this was it.

Only this time developers won't be as dependent on publishers, because they will be able to distribute their games online.

EA? Don't you mean THQ? And the Day of Reckoning series was great, by the way. I would very much like to see Day of Reckoning 3 on Revolution.

It's fun to fantasise that the Revolution will actually be on top. That's why people keep on voting. It's just a fantasy.

Nothing that I wasn't expecting, but I'm still a little disappointed. I'll reserve the rest of my judgement for when I see the games running. Also, aren't we approaching April 1st now?...
