I've noticed that too, It's really annoying when people are trying to advertise about buying it and put in the "of" in. Clearly not heard of the song before. Like in that Hitler vid. But ah well just a little annoyance and I'm glad people who perhaps have not heard of the song or RATM before have taken it on board and joined in. I think there may have been a big surge in RATM downloads yesterday. The group went up to like 950,000 members so I'm sure a hell of a lot more people would have downloaded. I hear iTunes still counts today? Not sure if thats been confirmed though. To be fair even if it doesn't make number 1, I think it's proved it's point that A LOT of people are fed up with the manufactured rubbish that is X factor. especially at Christams. Killing in the name downloads are No. 1 on play.com No. 1 on Amazon No. 1 on HMV No. 1 on iTunes No. 1 on Tesco No. 1 on Nokia Music and the facebook group has collectively raised £65,000 for Shelter which is amazing (I donated a fiver ). If only everyone of the 950,000 people donated a quid, that would have been immense. But £65,000 is truely remarkable anyway. Shows the power of social networking and of the people and I'm glad I've been a part of it.

Not a good day. We need a defence back. Shocking. In other news there is a press conference at Man City tonight. Apparently Hughes is getting the sack and Mancini is coming in. I know City have drawn a lot but they have only lost 2 games.... seems stupid not to give him the rest of the season to see how they do then make changes if need be. Not sure anyone else could have done much better.

I think they got it confirmed by the official charts people that Amazon 29p DOES COUNT. But not sure. I bought it from play, amazon and hmv multiple buys from different shops are ok just no bulk buying. If you bulk buy your purchases will be void in the counting and could disqualify RATM. We don't want that do we? I fully expect the x factor to sell loads today in hard copy format. But still rage has done well so far. Very interestings to see what happens tomorrow, I think there will be only thousands in it. EDIT: just checked the group and it says: "AMAZON ALLEGEDLY IS CHART ELIGIBLE, BUT IM HEARING MANY CONFLICTING STORIES ON THIS. MAYBE PUT THE OTHER VENDORS FIRST"

Perhaps but then the facebook group have set up a just giving page which is making a lot of money for a charity (cant remember who) which is a brilliant idea. 750,000 members, of course not everyone is going to donate but people are. Think they made £30,000 already. And as for getting RATM to number 1, it's all just a bit of fun. Can't believe how serious some people are taking it. Sounds like it is doing well, be interesting to see how far it does reach by sunday, I think a top 5 is possible if sales continue like they are. But after tomorrow with the release of the x factor CD I reckon that will smack it.

Hahah me too. I had an Oasis theme. Everytime you clicked or loaded something it would play a 5 second snippet of a song. The mouse pointer was also a union jack guitar.... I look back and think WHY?

It's only a little bit of fun. Power to the people. Why not see what the people on mass can achieve. I think it's quite a good experiement and will show the power of social networking. Who cares if it is pointless, not hurting anyone and at only 65p to buy an extremely good song it's actually really worth it I don't expect Rage to beat the X factor but it will be interesting to see how far it does climb up the charts...even into the top 10 or 5 will be a big achievement for the masses. In general I have no interest in the charts or Xmas number 1's but if we can get one over on the cowell then it's all good.

Today the purchasing begins! Just got mine from Play.com - 65p. May hit up HMV too. Over 700,000 members on facebook. Be interesting to see how well the song does and pretty funny if it does get xmas number 1. Don't get it from Amazon. They're selling it too cheap to count in the charts apparently?!?! or so the group on facebook say, apparently any songs below 40p don't count. I can't be bothered to google to find out. HMV, Play or itunes are best places.

The whole song is about sticking it to the man and in this case Simon Cowell. Yes a more christmassy number one would have been better. Who's up for fairytale in new york next year? Since the 90's there hasn't really been any christmas based songs as christmas number one except for band aid etc. I think the last ones were probably spice girls and east 17. So this song is quite apt seen as the last 5 or more years it's been x-factor/popstars etc type winners getting the number 1 slot and making cowell richer. I'm not really that fussed about xmas number 1's as generally the charts are full of music that I have never liked. This is just a bit of fun and will be interesting to see how well it does. I reckon maybe top 5 if enough people latch on.

Only 70p on play.com which I believe counts towards xmas number one after the 13th.... hahah cant believe how much this is now being advertised. Heard it on Xfm, BBC radio 6 and saw it on the yahoo home page. Awesome.

Love this song, spent many a good night dancing to this with fellow Rage fans. It would be epically funny to see it as Xmas number 1 but it's never gonna happen. I think it could make the top 5 maybe. Would be great though if it did happen I'm probably gonna join in and buy for the laugh.

You can lock onto locations with the Javelin too. So at the start lock on to a far distant location and fire away. Usually kill someone. I do it myself on maps such as wasteland and quary.
