  1. Actually you're all wrong. [/faggotry]
  2. Yes, I briefly considered the X300 but honestly, Lenovo need to get over the goddamn 1990's thinkpad look, I find it disgusting. I think I would use the HSDPA connection, that does mean that I can just slip my 3 simcard in there and use it for mobile internet, right?
  3. One of the smartest girls in my year took the test as a joke and was diagnosed with dyslexia, it's worth taking, £2000 worth of gear for next to no work.
  4. I'm in, haven't played in a while. Please don't kill me first night.
  5. Oh, also I'm not looking for sympathy, and realistically I don't need the laptop, but I'll take whatever they're giving me. Dyspraxia, not dyslexia, they're different. Hell, get yourself tested. You'll probably be diagnosed and given free stuff, life is good.
  6. I can sum it up with the word "Clumsiness" or "Bad hand eye coordination" if you like. It means I have trouble doing delicate things, like threading a needle for example. I can't play different tunes on each hand when playing the piano. Same applies for a lot of things that require your hands to do different things. When I was a kid I had trouble catching and kicking balls, but I've been able to do it more competently for a while. I also have really terrible messy handwriting.
  7. Yeah this is where I'm getting the money for my laptop in my thread. I was diagnosed with a "very mild dyspraxia", I was then told I qualified for a free laptop under the DSA and I should be getting it this month. I think everyone who is accepted for the scheme gets a £2700 budget minus software and other hardware for the laptop. I'm also getting a printer and £100 a year for ink.
  8. Eh, changed my mind on the Air after the hype died down, I'm going to give priority to other form factors than thickness and if I was to get an Air I would want an SSD (£2000). No SSD is a fairly big con on the Sony's part as well.
  9. So in less than a month I'm going to get a nice big cheque for a laptop of my choice. I'm looking for an ultra mobile notebook because they look sick, and they're small and i'm only looking for a web browser and some casual gaming, Red Alert 2 and such. I'm looking for something 12" or lower that meets my budget of £1700 (actually an estimation of what i'll be getting, if it's a little higher I can pay the difference). I've narrowed it down to 3 choices although if you have a better idea, pray tell. 1. Asus U2E Pros: Comes with 3 AND 9 cell battery. Most memory(but most of it external) Second nicest looking, especially in black. Great screen density (1368x768) Benchmarked 8 hour battery life light usage on 9 cell 2. Toshiba R500 Pros: Lightest and thinnest 64GB SSD 3 year warranty 8 hours of battery according to Toshiba. 3. Sony TZ Pros: Looks sick Second lightest and thinnest Good screen res Built in HSDPA. So if you were me which would you go for? I think i'm currently siding with the Asus U2E
  10. Err, I've seen more positive press about Sky broadband than Virgin broadband. and I don't think cable offers more than 24mb/s yet.
  11. Seconding this, you owe me two 360 games. :fistshake:
  12. Yes, activate over the phone, it's all automated and will probably work. If it doesn't you can speak to someone and they'll fix it for you, they're very generous about it.
  13. Yeah, my friend said the same. Then one day his PSU exploded and he lost all the parts in his computer.
  14. Ofcom, is the watchdog agency.
  15. Yeah both of those are good enough.
  16. No, PSU is one thing you do NOT crap out on, unless you want to lose your entire computer. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/129948 That should be enough, my gts 512MB Says minimum of 430W.
  17. It's not from any of his movies, I've only seen a couple of episodes of Paranoia Agent so it could be that.
  18. Source please. Still don't know where this is from either.
  19. I don't think the picture is accurate considering he claimed he bought a 80GB IDE(they still make those? O_o) and the picture is a 250GB SATA. Also Maxtor don't exist anymore, Seagate bought them 3 years ago.
  20. Lag in TF2.
  21. Where do computers come into this? O_o Erase sounds pretty sinister to me.
  22. 6 was NOT brilliant. They blew their load in the first 4 episodes and were left with a mess on their hands. The only good thing about season 6 is that they left it open for an overhaul. Truth be told I have low expectations for season 7 as well. The trailer I saw a couple of months ago seemed to be the same old plot twists in a new setting. Prove me wrong Jack Bauer.
  23. Nice work Bleach team, this episode had about 16 and a half minutes of content and some really terrible animation. At least episode 165ish should have a decent battle.
  24. Ah to be in high school again.
