guys what i mean by manual passing is where you determine the direction and speed of the pass all by yourself. You also get similar options for lobbed passes, through-balls and shooting. It's a completely natural and intuitive implementation. PES does not offer this yet. Check the control settings when playing the game and see if the option for manual passing/shooting is included.

has this game got the option for manual passing and shooting or is it all CPU assisted?

er I am just stating the obvious. if Liverpool do not beat beskitas it is gonna be pretty damn hard to qualify. even you can see this. Yes the rotation is a joke but Rafa will never change. I have always said Rafa will not admit he is wrong so rotation is here to stay. I don't think having torres in the team means liverpool automatically win. that is just being silly. since the derby game Liverpool's performances have been pretty shoddy. against birmingham, Portsmouth and Wigan Liverpool have not played well. How many clear cut chances are they creating? Gerrard is out of form, Kuyt does not score, Crouch has not played one good game yet. Don't know why Babbel does not play upfront. He is a striker and not a winger.

best performance by Marseille all season. been waiting for that for too long. Liverpool were shocking. crouch had another shocker, liverpool's passing was really poor. should of played babbel upfront with torres. liverpool really need to beat beskitas or its all over!

this isnt really the place to argue about it but it is not trying to be like Pro Evo. FIFA makes you look around, take your time and pass the ball looking for openings just like in real life. if you want pure simulation than the 360/PS3 version is the best. Some people may not like it as it is hard game to master and is a slower paced game. The Wii version is arcady with more end to end football.

think it has same problems as past versions in that the ball is too floaty. It is more heavy on 360/PS3 version.

Was hoping it would be SWOS but no luck. dunno what is happening with that game.

I do know that the Wii version does not have manager (career) mode.

that review was BS. in manager mode all the cup dates are correct. the review makes no mention of that. he hardly mentions any gameplay issues. Seems he is upset that on FIFA you have to work hard to create chances. read the review on http://www.fifasoccerblog.com it is a well balanced review. oh and joypad (french) magazine scored PES2008 on PS3 7/10, FIFA 08 8/10. First time they scored FIFA higher.

I gonna wait to I read people's impressions before i think about getting this. Pre-ordered the 360 version as it is too damn good!!

to the people that have the game would you say it is better to start the game on hard rather than normal difficulty??

London, never knew it was region free when pre-ordered months ago. I have a Japanese 360. They preparing order so cannot cancel now and get it from a shop over here.

maybe it just me but i finding it easy to score goals. (pass the ball to a winger, run pass the full-back who most of the time won't do anything to stop you, cross and score). I honestly can not see any improvement in the A.I. I can attack the RW for example all game and the CPU is not doing anything to combat this. Where is this TeamVision Konami were making a big deal about.. I still have not lost a game yet. watch the physics when you pass the ball, It doesn't bobble, it doesn't move, it does nothing when it leaves a player's foot. The ball becomes stuck to the ground until it reaches the pass target. Long passes are very strange also. In FIFA they sometimes can be a bit too floaty. In the PES2008 demo it is like the ball has a rocket attached to it. it reaches the target well too quick.

Yes it is fun but it is is realistic?? If you like 100mph football, creating tons of chances and scoring lots of goals you will love it but other people will not like the direction PES/Winning Eleven is going. It still seems too scripted for me . Two/Three passes and you are comfortably on the wing with the over paced runners of your choice. the running animation is horrible, looks like they skating on ice. the game still has the usual problem when your fullback fails to understand you need him on the flank. you need to turn 360 before he makes a run.

That NFL2K5 idea sounds great. will have to mention that on the FIFA community board. Yeah WE8:LE was great!! trust people a good FIFA game is good for everyone. It might just wake Seabass up again!!

Yeah FIFA does need Super Cancel. although both games really shouldnt need one. I like the keepers in PES2008, they seem very much improved and the ref's seem very realistic. tackle from behind is a red card! no black screen is very welcome also..

the A.I on the PES2008 demo is really easy to dominate even on the hardest difficulty setting. FIFA 08 demo on semi-pro is hard! I honestly think FIFA 08 will be harder to master. Just wish FIFA 08 was a tad quicker as from the demo it is a bit too slow IMO.
