  1. that's the best thing I've ever seen in my life.
  2. Makes me wonder if the Fox rights on the X-Books go as far as Wasp not being a mutant- you know, like the whole Mutant race is under their rights. Which would suck.
  3. Invasion is great the escalation of the conflict when the elites breach the hull and cross over to the yard is brilliant. The map is huuuuuuuuuuuge! Balance needs a tweak I reckon- though it's hard to say whether it's to do with an unfair set up or just inexperienced/ rubbish players. Either way, Elites seem to be loosing way more than Spartans. Which is odd, given how strong the elites are man for man by comparison- but the Spartans get so many shiny, shiny toys. It's hard to match.
  4. on that note: you know they tried to retcon it in that The Hulk has never killed anyone recently? Apparently, Banner's inner genius mind made it so that every time he punches choppers out the air or goes through a building he does it with perfect maths so that nobody dies... fucks sake, Marvel.
  5. He's much better in The Ultimates. It's more about Banner being quite an unpleasant man to begin with, and Hulk kind of comes out of his instabilities. in Ultimates 1 he actually makes himself the hulk again on purpose from a pretty fucked up inferiority complex. That'd work perfectly well. Basically, The Ultimates set in 616 Marvel is how I see the film taking shape. I'd definitely like to see Hawkeye in the film- possibly in his more super-human Ultimate style. Black Widow is almost confirmed given her IM2 showing. The more outlandish Avengers- Black Panther, Ms Marvel and so on could make a great showing in a sequel. I could see the first film ending with The Avengers being internationally recognised as heroes and in the sequel they expand in to a much wider group that covers the whole planet. That makes room for some great characters without having to go in to massive detail over origin stories (simply saying 'they're heroes, and we invited them to serve as Avengers' should be enough) I really want it to kick ass :s
  6. Hang the fuck on: Land isn't connected to Avengers now?
  7. *Kirkman has a well established habit of keeping readers on very unsteady ground in his books. TWD is the best example of this, and has a very fluid status quo that can't be relied on at all like a regular comic. For example, Spider-Man always lives in New York and constantly performs the same dramatic function. Has done for years, and will continue to do so. Even when it 'changes' (He's moving to San Fran apparently) the status quo will eventually return. 'Nobody stays dead in comics etc' TWD, on the other hand, does nothing of the sort. Although the status quo has generally moved fairly slow (the prison/Woodbury lasted two whole years) it never feels static. Deaths have always been permanent in Kirkman books* and he has a talent for hanging that over people. In a sense, he writes ongoings like they're limited series'. They feel like they could end or change massively at a moments notice, largely because they're creator owned. I realise that in Invincible there have been 4 'deaths' that have not stuck but each one has been rationalised and he's never ressurected anyone declared officially dead.
  8. Hey, that guy's actually a lot like me. harro.
  9. Honestly, that might not be too far from the truth. I would also be pretty much fine with a fairly straightforward sequel. The only major change I'd like to see in the formula is that in the first game each of the upgrades you got were a bit flash in the pan: You'd get all this cool shit then use it for a few minor environmental puzzles and wall destroying then never use them again. More 'troid influence in the consistent use of toys, please. That aside, wouldn't mind more of the same at all. Splinter Cell offers another source of steal-that-if-it's-legally-possible inspiration for co-op; I'd like to see some kind of puzzle based asymmetric play online with one player as Batman and one as Robin.
  10. reason #5467 this game rules: Sprinting in to a defending team with the hammer and getting a tripple kill. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOL.
  11. the assassinations are a melee from behind- only you hold the button down. Tapping it gets the kill, but holding it is tea-bagging 2.0 and Jetpacks are in the loadout menu- though not every ability is available in every gametype. This game is the tits. It's absolutely awesome. Won't win over many new fans I suspect but, frankly, I don't care at all. For me and my regular crowd it's a perfect upgrade- rebalanced, expanded and refined from the classic formula that we like. There's loads of new stuff going on that's changed a great deal of the game for us, and that's what counts. 2 maps and hardly any modes and this absolutely pissses on Modern Warfare 2
  12. It needs some Brooklyn love: TV On The Radio and Yeasayer say harro.
  13. What kind of stuff is Jodie in to? Might be able to suggest something.
  14. I'd say charge characters need sticks far more than shoto style does. Things like crouch charging so you don't move backwards need fairly precise control and I've found it pretty easy to slip off that with a fightpad.
  15. It's a shame that Fox probably have options on Quicksilver and The Scarlett Witch but at least we can expect Hawkeye and the rest. obviously pure fantasy but The Avengers 2 should definitely move towards characters that have thrived in the team books that nobody knows otherwise like Ms Marvel and Black Panther
  16. The Avengers is going to be very S.H.I.E.L.D focused if the rumours of it being based on The Ultimates (alternative universe Avengers book from Marvel) are true. The Ultimates is all about the morality of a government sponsored super hero team- superhumans as super weapons, if you will. S.H.I.E.L.D is the govt organisation behind The Ultimates so Nick Fury is front and center The Avengers movie is apparently a kind of adaptation of that story using the standard Marvel Universe versions of The Avengersv rather than The Ultimates : Ultimate Thor Thor Movie Thor: etc
  17. The Knife- We Share Our Mother's Health Trentmoller remix (Spotify) Wicked remix. It's got such a heavy drop it's unreal.
  18. Good casting. I remember her doing a decent turn in Prison Break. And being so mind bendingly fit that I wanted to cry. Anyone else read Iron Man yet? I'm dying to nerd out over it!
