if i ever came into money i'd buy half of selly oak and milk the student dry! I gave in my notice on my flat today, so I now have to find a new place to live by 1st july. And to do that I have to somehow get enough money for a new deposit. No idea how I'm going to do that, but its too late now.

just saw something that made me giggle. Playing with google I decided to look at google trends. As well as ranking the most searched trends, they also give a summary, like 'volcanic', or in the example that made me giggle in a sick way 'on fire', which is the ranking given to Heather Stohler, who died in a fire.

oh, i forgot to say the best thing about the house i saw today that I liked! For those of you who don't know J R R Tolkein lived in Birmingham when he was growing up, and the 2 towers were inspired by a water tower and a folly in edgebaston. At least one of them can be seen from the window of the room i'd be renting! They are great buildings, and the history makes then even better. Waterworks Tower: Perrots Folly:

I'm getting very excitied about ATP http://www.atpfestival.com/events/explosions/, only 1 day to go now! It's my 3rd time going (went to ATP vs the Fans last may and Portishead ATP in December). There are some bands playing who I am really really excitied to see, and virtually all of them will be bands i've not seen before (Explosions in the Sky, Battles, Eluvium & Okkervil River are the only bands plaing I have seen before). Most looking forward to: Explosions in the Sky Mono Iron & Wine Battles Four Tet ...And You Will Know us by the Trail of the Dead. Anyone playing who I may not have listened to who are a must see?

I had an ok day actually, I'm getting very exciting about http://www.atpfestival.com/events/explosions/ and I went to see 2 houses today. One was just WRONG, the other is very nice, and would see about £140 a month better off, assuming/hoping that my maths are correct.

well thats the nicest thing anyones ever said jay Iam really going for it on the househunting now, I have 2 viewings booked, plus a couple more in the pipeline. Man, I hate moving, but I reckon that even if i move into somewhere at the same rent as I'm on now thats a house share rather than just me i'll be £100 a month better off. One place i'm looking at is only £200 a month, which would leave me about £250 a month better off. So nervous about living with people again.... Letting agents should have to warn you when they let you a property that living on your own my seriously harm your social compatibility! Nearly 2 years now.

Things still not too good My mum is still ill - and I'm still in major shock that she nearly died and never told me. Seriously, you;d think that if your doctor told you to get things in order telling your son would be quite high on that list... I realised today that I have no option but to move. I have no idea where to, I just know I can't afford to live on my own any more, I got a very nasty letter from the bank demanding £1250 by the end of june in the post today. I just don't know what to do. I'm going to arrange to see the bank manager on my week off, and continue spening no money. I really don't like the idea of a houseshare with strangers, I wish my mates weren't so lame and were willing to move of of their parents places. Plus i'm feeling depressed for a multiude of other reasons. I keep dreaming of pay day withdrawing my whole pay check before anyone gets hold of any of it and running off to a 3rd world country and hiding for a few years. Sadly I don't think I get paid quite enough to do that. Plus I suppose I would miss my friends. Maybe I need to have a car crash. Someone should jump a red light, and either cripple me so I can sue them for injury, or just die and get the whole sorry mess sorted out. But i'd make such a mess on the road, and some poor idiot would have to clean me up. I don't like the idea of my remains being swept up by some brummie traffic cop.

its been far far too long since I listened to Athems to the Welkin at Dusk. It's a special album, and assuming you are open minded enough I don't think you need to be into metal to like it as the raw musical ability shows through.

i grew up in the middle of no where, and was really scared when i first moved to Birmingham - i only went to the city centre once in my first year, and I barely left halls/campus that year either. much more used to it now, but even after 4 1/2 years it still seems really weird

had a good weekend, but i'm just feeling worse and worse. I have a week off soon, and I think i definitely need to use the time to speak to a therapist or something.

2) if you were in a 'p'it, reading the 'p'aper you would have an aspirated p, but not if you were s'p'itting or s'p'ying on someone.

I can't get over how weak the line up is this year. The only bands playing who I want to see and haven't seen before are Dillinger, Ash and The Offspring - and i'm at least 5 years too late to see all of those 3 at their peaks. pity, i have had a great time previously, but dont even slightly want tog o this year.

i was in a major jam on the M5 today, aka stationary for 1 1/2 hours. I sat there bored for a while, then I remebered I had 5 episodes on Arrested Development on my phone, which made the jam far more pleasant!

wow, this is great! I have been feeling for ages like how how some of you, particularly Eenuh, are saying, but didn;t think any 'normal' people felt like that. I want companionship of sorts but not sure if i really want more. sort of. i'm not being too clear. maybe a nintendo furm isn't the best place to be clear. My friends when they first met me all assumed I was gay, as i suppose i do have camp moments. I know i'm not gay, and i know that i find women attractive, but I also kinda think 'hang on, normally if there is something I want I get it - surely if i did really want a GF I'd have one by now' who knows. Maybe I am asexual. Or maybe i just have a mammoth ammount of fears, hang ups and neuroses about sex. I know I do have neuroses and issues better talked to a trained therapist than a forum, but I dont know if they are whats stopping me. I have been thinking about this for ages, but never ever put it into words before, which is why it probably seems like a train of thought rather than a properly consructed post. I think I should speak to someone, i definitely have issues, and I think it would be healthier if I talked them through - you know the simpsons episode where ned's house gets destroyed by the hurricane and he cracks, i worry that that will happen one day, as I am unnaturally placid and bottle stuff. wow, long, rambling and probably pointless. Thanks for reading!

what a crap day. Work dragged, and my confidence is feeling really low at work and I keep making small mistakes. I'm just really struggling to get my head in order. The only thing that got me through work today was looking forward to Mario Kart. Went to pay for it, and my card got declined. Im really feeling depressed. I haven't had a chance to get to the doctor yet, and i'm just feeling worse and worse. I was queuing for a drink today and nearly started crying for no reason, crazy. luckily, I managed to catch it in time!

Mr Haden! the prospect of getting you drunk sounds very entertaining, and one day I am sure it will happen. currently I cant afford to get myself drunk, so imbibing you is low priority at the moment i'm afraid. ooh, that reminds me, half a bottle of wine in the fridge. back of the net
