True but it could be argued that shooters have moved on from this, and that turn speed circles and aiming have moved on to a new level of precision from the goldeneye days. That new precedent has been set by various next gen shooters one that maybe Red Steel doesn't quite hit these heights, in either graphics or controls. Having said that I still enjoying it. Gonna try some multiplayer tonight.

great little puzzler where you control toad and have to go through various levels where animals drop down columns style and you have to move them around and line up bombs in rows of 3 or more with them to destory them. was also the last NES game ever released, the description on the shop channel is pretty good place, got some ok screens aswell. check out here to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wario_Woods don't know why they didn't release the better SNES version though. I downloaded it, its worth a go.

I have introduced the Wii to my family and my dad wants to get one! my step mum also who hates any form of computer games and think they are a pointless stupid hobby is hooked on tennis. then they saw the advert that has a mix of games and said "get that one"= wario ware. Looks like to me Nintendo are on to something, (as more and more people seem to be believing) can't imagine all my family jumping around the room playing on a PS3! new high score on bowling for me: 220, think being in competition with others makes me play better! also interesting my brother who plays golf alot and has a real low handicap, played me at golf and absolutly kicked my ass first try, interesting to see how the relevant skill sets can be quickly applied to the wiimote.

well than can only say thanks, I do think I am quite knowledgeable, as I spend all my time digesting gaming goodness, but its nice to be appreciated even if it was only one person!

Yeah, good idea, I'll try and get that done, get it a sticky thread. Yeah you see I'm hoping that the podcast could help generate even more discussion between us all, potentially, it will be different to the official one with any hope, as that only generates conversation about hot topics, but who knows if it doesn't kick off will abandon it. That would work, but would be cool to bring discussion to the podcast between members etc... you say thats what the forum is for, but its like this podcast is bringing these discussions to another medium, and to run in tandem with the forum, as something fun for us... whilst what you have said could work for a part of the show...I still think for a podcast to work it needs some discussion...

yep tried both of my wiimotes, didn't think these problems were meant to happen with the wiimote that came with it, thought it was auto-synced?! I don't have my manual with me, left it at uni- and before anyone suggests it, moving from one house to another won't have done it, like i've knocked it or something... as I've been here for over a week now!

ok so know there is a thread for this kinda thing, but this is desperate! was just sat using my wii had just finished playing red steel, was on the wii menu all set to pick the mii channel, when all of a sudden my wiimote just cuts out and doesn't work, now it isn't the batteries cos they were fresh this week. no matter how many times I try to resync it the lights just keep flashing and it doesn't sync?!!!!! I've tried pulling the plug on the wii and nothing!!!! which way round are you meant to press the sync buttons? I've never done it before, also just use one time sync for the second wiimote, has this happened to anyone else before?!!!! PLEASE HELP ARGH!!!!

well your unlucky you decided this abit late, as the second big batch was knocking around last week and a lot of big stores, hmv,virgin etc... managed to fulfill their preorders so were putting them out on the shelves....we got 3 to sell at work, went in 10 mins... but that won't be the case now...you won't get one till January (ok so techinically only next week) cos as far as I know Nintendo of Europe take a couple of weeks off xmas.

hmmm sounds good.... well I guess you still need to do the audition stuff- as it's not really to check technical ability, but what you've got to talk about. Not had any yet. would people prefer it to be a random process? or something? just want to get this up and running. Or are people just gonna do it later? tell me what you think!

well erm... do one of the above "audition" methods I posted before..and we will see about it! Sorry to do this wish I didn't have to, but too many people will make it made as it will simply have too many people chatting on it! This selection process is only to get people for the first episode, after that will go though everyone in some fashion!

yeah you've only to look at their aquiring of the licences such as football manager to see that they simply want to be a good publisher now and don't seem as fussed about making great games themselves
