  1. didn't know this was the case, anyway just got home with it, have completed wario, mona, young cricket, kat and ana, all inside about half an hour. i do feel abit underwhelmed by the apparent lack of features but then again I do think some of what the poses translate onto the screen are truly innovative. also only paid £6 for it, as traded in Phoenix Wright and NFS Underground DS for it!
  2. yeah if it wasnt for the fact that I know this is so poor on the PS2, I would consider getting it,no gimmicky controls are gonna make me get this unless they are pretty special.
  3. this isn't true. from day one Nintendo could have created the single most comprehensive collection of retro games available on any current console, but instead they choose to drip feed us crap so that we keep buying these lesser titles before building up to the good stuff. I hate the way when it was announced Miyamoto specified it was not being used as a business model it was intended to give something back...so much for that bullshit. looks like my 200 points spare won't be getting added to for another week. EDIT: Xevious and thats it GRRRR!!!! wot do they think just cos wario ware is out they can forget VC for a week.
  4. grrr sounds shit about having to play all the way through single player to unlock multiplayer. and the lack of high scores sounds shite to be honest.anyway gonna go into town and buy this now.
  5. wooohooo if this goes online, will defo get it,love mortal kombat although havn't owned one since the N64 one. but still they are good!
  6. yeah thats my view on it, it's not like we are moaning cos the graphics aren't as good as the 360, we are moaning cos they aren't even as good as even the PS2!!!!
  7. yeah agreed it was awesome.
  8. anyone seen it out in shops early at all? or people who got it early just via online?
  9. it is true, a problem both sega and nintendo had after the SNES and Megadrive, they didn't know what to do.Sega realised the Saturn too early and it was too hard to program for and Nintendo left it too late with the N64, and stupidly stuck with catridges. the same could also be said with Atari with the Jaguar. Could the PS3 be the 3DO of this generation, a console with unquestionable power, thats never exploited?
  10. I do agree with you, but I merely think this is what we have to put up with as early adopters of a new console. look at the 360 for quite awhile it was merely the home of upscaled ported games. and even themselves they can be found guilty of not bringing out stellar games at first. but now it's built up momentum and has a increasingly good range of games. this will soon happen with the wii I'm sure, once the PS2 is a dead console, we will stop getting ports, getting our own versions based on next gen rather than last gen. also expect mini game collections whilst they will always exist will maybe die down sooner or later, as people become sick of them. I think it will also be a progressive thing, as more and more people get into gaming, enticed by the idea of wii sports etc... they will soon want to try more traditional games and then I think developers will be more encouraged to attempt to make more and more traditional feeling games that take advantage of the Wii, this can also have its downside, something I think Ubisoft are exploiting very well, new gamers won't know what is and isnt a port for sure, and could see a rehash of a game on an island end in a store with new release above it and think wow that looks good I'll grab that, not realising most of dismissed it as shit years ago. so games like the to be released Driver Parallel Lines will sell really well because of this fact. Kingofhyrule, I have nearly completed Zelda I think and the thought of it scares me! I'm part of the way through Red Steel, but completing that doesn't fill me with much excitement. and then you look to the future for a new truly great adventure/rpg etc... and it seems a far way off. thank god I've just got the Zelda's Collector Edition for the cube and got Majora's Mask to play (I never completed it as a kid)
  11. thats wrong, has now been confirmed as the 30th March....still not long to wait!!!!
  12. no it doesn't go into the wii shop channel and then its in the settings bit you can link it there.
  13. nah it had all the different characters modes, ok so they all just played on different versions of the same formula, but you had the balancing on the turtle, the dance off, the space board one, the doctor one(which wouldn't really work on the wii, allsorts.... from that IGN review it seems like all of these are missing.... EDIT: also reading eurogamers review it says: what?!!!! that was one of my favourite bits of the cube version seeing how long my hand could hack out button bashing!
  14. well just preparing to go to hyrule castle for what I assume is the end of the game. have to say was, had a mammoth couple of days doing two dungeons. was left very disappointed by zant I must say....
  15. Well this game did have the WOW factor for me but that IGN review has really put me off. It's single player isn't anywhere near the size of the cube version, and the multiplayer sounds severly lacking in features, there were so many different modes in the cube one, where have they all gone? I'm still gonna get it though, but just not as excited as I was.
  16. reckon its more likely we will get an ISS branded game, just judging by the cubes treatment.
  17. yeah, rejoice that we are still getting a konami footie game!
  18. ah...well maybe then it is an update in preperation for the stars to wii points, maybe we weren't meant to know about it yet, as there was no mail sent about it.
  19. hmmm well the update looked like it was merely for parental controls. hopefully they will get the star catalogue sorted soon....
  20. where do you do this?!!!!!!! anyway up to the sky temple now, this level truly has me mythed! ive got the item but dont have a clue what to do now! on another note, got a copy of the zelda collector edition and had a quick bash on the wind waker demo...god it feels so odd not being able to swing the sword! can't wait to get stuck in MM, never completed it, only got up to the second dungeon and then got stuck and abandoned it! so gonna play it right through.
  21. well will have to read the review properly but it disappointing that it sounds like the multiplayer isnt what I was expecting.
  22. how about they bring out a marraca hand on?! just like the nunchuk but with buttons etc... just a motion sensor. altho would be odd using one wiimote and one marraca
  23. My console turned off twice in the first week I had it, both times playing Zelda, but fingers crossed hasn't happened since. Has crashed a few times on the browser once when using fine tune and just made a humming sound till I unplugged.
  24. from the NOE site, important stuff is in bold! basically just follows on from segas announcement. I'll defo be getting Mario Kart 64, Streets of Rage and Comix Zone. hopefully this announcment means wii points will be on the star catalogue sooner rather than later!
  25. GRRRR read this and thought it had been announced. ages ok when the wii was first announced I said I would love to see this come to the Wii, that drumming demo from Wii Music shows that such a thing can be possible.....
