IRONY. Best way to avoid hangovers is to sleep through 'em I didn't get up 'til like 4pm or something the next day after that one. I get hangovers all the time. Rarely any trouble with the stomach though, as I tend to know my limits. I always grab the water before/after sleep, and if I'm feeling up for it I'll whip together a fry-up out of whatever I can find.

Agreed. Pay what you know you damaged, and make sure your mates are being honest about the other things. The fire-extinguisher you ought to fight against also. If you'd used it then there would be evidence of it, surely - and I would imagine if it was sprayed on anything then he'd be charging you for that, too. As for the cigarette burn - which room was it in? Does he have any proof that it was you guys? It may have been there before you At the moment nothing is legalised, and I would recommend holding back any payment until you see proof that they're asking for fair sums of money. Worst comes to worst, £625 between 16 people isn't a huge sum of money- plus if you have decent-enough mates to admit to doing specific damage then they can pay the bulk of it. How did you contract the rooms? All under one name, or between certain people? Because i'm sure it would be the name on the contract that would be obliged to pay for any damages.

I went and got fairly DRUNK at my mates house. They couldn't be arsed to come to mine as they outnumber me. Watched some survival show - got a spoof in the works ourselves - and watched Hostel. Felt complete apathy for the situation they were in. Walked home, bought chicken burger, bumped into pregnant ex-felon who wanted a fag and talked on teh street for 25 mins. She's cool. Watching x-files now. Jack Black is in this episode - so is Frank Abignale Jr from friends - I forget his name. Don't think I'm gonna go to uni tomorrow, but need to get out to buy sister's b'day present and train tickets and shit. Am very impressed with my typing ability at this drunkeness. Will have a go at the next drunken member's awful typos because alcohol is no excuse. Also I wish for many things. Good night.

Haggis; I would let him stew with it for a while. He might be putting on a false shell for a few days, but eventually he'll have to say something - my best guess would be the next time the pair of you get drunk ye shall find the answer.

Erm.. Well I was watching x-files from about 6pm yesterday to 9am this morning, including the extras. I can't help it. I have a condition or something. I don't really have a concept of "wow it's getting late", and seeing there's "only" 6 episodes left after having watched 8.. well I'm past the half-way point. Main problem is I run out of stuff to watch so quick! I've only got the first 6 episodes of season 3, so it'll take me a couple of weeks to download the rest. Will probably start re-watching DVD series that I've got, like Lost... Season 3 episode 1 is good! Another To Be Continued. I think I've got enough time to squeeze in the next episode, get dressed, go buy booze in time for people to come over. If not then they'll have to wait! EDIT: Scratch that. Mates are ghey.

Questioning whether it's worth the effort to go get booze from over the road to accompany my imminently arriving pizza. I'd have to get dressed, I'd have to decide what to drink, and I'd also have to arrange for the space for them to reside next to me within reaching distance. It would be a lot simpler of take-away restaurants had a liquor licence and could deliver the booze too.

I know what you mean, thought the same. The new characters weren't bad though, but each episode was kinda like "i wonder which three 'main' characters won't be in this one?" Most of the way through the season I was thinking "hmm the other seasons are better" but the last third of the season felt really tight and well thought out.
