  1. Movies whittled from 2 hours to a few lines of text. The world if we kept place names literal. Cool arty pictures... Zombie Hauku ... Yeh, I found Stumbleupon today ¬_¬
  2. Skip if you've seen it already and didn't like it, I guess. Can't force you to do anything. Alright Daniel, added to the pile Done that too, chazzer!
  3. one of those crack-the-riddle,-find-the-next-page-thing-wotsit sites. Kindalike notpron and puzzledonkey, only I imagine it's not as good. I'm stuck on level 4
  4. 'few more books/movies have been added. Mundi's choice has been upped to first read. Mostly because I want to read it.
  5. Word on the street is that the first book on the list is 1000 words long... I'm going to shuffle the list a little as I think that's a large commitment to ask of y'all on the first go.
  6. Supergrunch's book choices are added. To be fair, the internet is a lazy place and I doubt many people will do this properly- I'm really hoping that at least two or three people get into it though. It can be really rewarding to talk in-depth about a book you've all read. Check out Booksprice.co.uk for price comparisons. Waterstones has The Pillars of The Earth for a fiver. Libraries have them free. Personally, I may well ask for a bunch of these for xmas just for the hell of it. I've read all but two of the books already, anyway :P Good pointer, Cube I'll stick the links in the firstpostthatnobodywilleverreadagain:P

  8. YEAH MUTHAFUCKA you be sittin' on cusions for WEEKS, yo. Check out this weeks X11 - I got me 5 players in that shit, yo.
  9. JAMBATRON! You've been missed. The forum was like a giant cake, but with a sprinkle missing. A haystack with no needle! A box of plums and no tomatos. Swiss cheese without the holes! Channel 5 without the softcore porn. KFC with only 11 blended herbs. A kitchen with no woman in it. A jayseven without alcohol. A cup without tea. A "bomp bomp bwa-naw!" without a "bomp-bomp bwa-na bwa-na-naww"! Are you getting me yet? You missed loooooooads on the forum. Someone changed their signature, someone got banned, someone complained about the naked women in the naked women thread... the usual shit. Shame on you for not coming back in time for the mafia thread
  10. Shit, you're running outta seasons My fave is 5, I think, but I ought to do what you did and watch them in quick succession to work out which is best.
  11. RAAAAA. Hungover. Last night I had two pints, four cans, a big bottle of mead (seriously tasty stuff... but waay stronger than I thought it was) and half a bottle of sloe gin. This morning was the closest I've come to throwing up for over a year. But last night was interesting - was meant to be some sort of house party for a mate's birthday, but it endedup being just four other people who all had to drive home, so me and the birthday girl got drunk and Charaded our way to silliness. When the 'crowd' left, we 'watched' Batman then Ghostbusters. She has four dogs and two cats and they're all mental. She shares a 3-bed house with one other girl, and their rent is only £450 between them! That's what I pay for the flat! Gonna live out there next year if I can. Non-sequitor. Bored now. I can't eat fried chicken unless i'm drunk now - the pieces look like little baby limbs deep fried. Motherfuckers. You know which rooms they're in? Revenge is a must. So you'll make that start on mine now, right?
  12. Lalalaa. Went to bed at 8am, woke up at 5pm - coincidentally the time I should've woken up for uni, and the time I would've gotten home if I had gone to uni. Mate from Hudders is coming over for a gig which I can't be arsed to go to, so I've gotta meet him at a pub in 40, but need to shower and get dressed and blah blah. ESSAY AGAIN. ARg. Mind is melting with all this shit. EDIT: Crap just got my exam timetable. 14th, 19th and 20th of january. 20th Century Fiction, Crit Theory and Practice then British Poetry, respectively. And Dan - you get those games for free to write a few hundred words like that! Mofo! Grr! A3 - that's good right? Got an A in the name so it's got to be!
  13. Glad to know I'm not the only one who thought so, and veery happy to hear that 4 and 5 will keep the pace up. Half-way through s03e7 as I type, and it's definitely a better season so far. I agree - Bunk came through a lot more with season 2, and Omar is continuously a great reason to watch the show. I think season 2 just felt aimless, but you're right - going from 1 to 3 would've limited the show hugely - hell, part of the reason why I'm enjoying 3 so much is that excitement of seeing the old faces all over again. Did you know the guy playing Jimmy is english? I looked him up after the way he said "ocean" in a s3 episode - he sounded like he was putting on a brit accent like that s2 ep. From sheffield, and everything :P
  14. The Wire Season 2 Not as strong as the first season. Had to watch it in really shitty definition, which definitely didn't help. Kinda felt like filler, story-wise. Still better than most everything, though. ReZ, what was so good about s02e02?
  15. Well I woke up about 20 minutes ago. Went out last night - was alright. Didn't get drunk enough, mind you. Going to some house party tonight so I guess I ought to get up outta bed and dress meself.
  16. Aight; Happenstance's idea sounds pretty sweet. One movie a week, one book a month. If you PM me a first and second choice for both/one/the other, depending on what you want to do, I'll mash up a list with dates that we can banter over. Just to say; I want to make this an elitist group, so if you don't have your name on the list then you can't play :P
  17. You should set a limit on participants, yo. Bitch. At least I spelt it right!
  18. 8pts clear in 4th place. Next game with ReZ and I shouldn't lose this time!
  19. Yeah, because it's all your fault! :| eh?
  20. Hehe :P I have a friend who started her essay at 9am -- 7 hours before deadline. She was mega-hungover too. Who goes out the night before deadline when you haven't even done the essay! I spent a very lazy 24 hours on this bad boy. No sleep, but I watched 5 episodes of supernatural and three episodes of The Wire. I normally take out like 10 books from the library when I do an essay, only to use one of them and get a gazillion references from JSTOR. This time? I found three essays written by the same dude over a period of 30 years where he regurgitated teh same bullshit over and over in such a manner that my tired, overcaffeinated body just got stuck in a loop. Plus my own knowledge was shite! I didn't even do the essay on the poems I'd actually read, and instead chose three epically long poems - BUT!!!!!!! James Thomson's "The City of Dreadful Night" is officially my first ever favourite poem. And I never even finished reading it! lolololo! Monk! I need a monk!
  21. Who's your service provider? You sure that's the precise message you received? Leave your phone near any scallywags who're likely to fuck about and sign you up to shitty ringtone adverts? http://newsgroups.derkeiler.com/Archive/Uk/uk.telecom.mobile/2006-04/msg00400.html is the nearest I can find so far - though it's two years old. I think it's probably fine to reset your phone, just not to reply to the number. But hell, who resets phones these days anyways?
  22. I'm pretty certain that this is THE worst essay I've ever written, and I'm willing to take bets.
