  1. I don't know if this has been posted yet, but there's an accessory which I hadn't seen yet, till now! Looks... organised.

    MacMini

Sorry to bump, but it's nicer than making a whole new thread! *gasp* I have had my eyes on a MacBook for a good long time now - however, it will take forever to save up for one and my family have decided to get a 32" HDTV that can hook up to computers, so I thought it would be cool to get a MacMini and a wireless keyboard / mouse. So, basically it's going to be used for: A) Displaying pictures/videos for visitors to come and watch in the background. B) Browsing the internet, YouTube will be as fancy as it gets I suspect. C) Editing videos. Now, I assume it will do A and B with no trouble at all, but it may streth it a touch for video editing. I'll be getting Final Cut Express, I just wanted to know if it'll have stuttery playback if I'm overlaying (or whatever it's called) videos, having 3 going at once? I would like to get the cheapest one, if there's no problems with what I mentioned above. But, if there are - what do I get to improve it? More RAM? 1.83GHz? All help is appreciated!
  3. Well I somehow have quite a lot of friends, well maybe not as many as a lot of people, but I think I'm doing pretty damn good. Every Saturday everyone goes to town and there's a big group of pretty hyper, loud people. Me and two girls go and talk and kind of relax alone. We all prefer not being in big loud groups. I would far rather have a relaxing chat with a friend or two than go to a party. I'm sure it's perfectly normal, well - I hope. However, a lot of the time I go to gigs, many many gigs with lots and lots of people - though everyone stands in a big clump at the front while me and a few others dance a little weirdly at the back. I don't like being in a group.
  4. I never dress up for halloween... infact I never go out for Halloween being the social crab I am, but here there's nothing to do anyway so I'll be happy being home, listening to the Scissor Sisters, drinking hot chocolate and internetting pointlessly.
  5. Matt Cassawhatamagigy from IGN said that in Bowling there was a trick to it so you could easily get strikes. He told the reps there about it and they said they'd report it back tot he Wii Sports team. That was only about a month ago. So I suppose they were tweaking it then, probably finished the main engine by e3 and been tweaking since. It's probably similar to most things, tweaking takes just as much time as the original making. When the TP trailer at e3 '04 (Wasn't that the first year?) was done, it was playable - just not at e3.
  6. Indeed! It is great. Everyone listen to me! Though I seem to have an awful taste in boxarts... maybe you shouldn't listen to me. That's probably a bad idea.
  7. I always thought I'd play Wii Sports first for some reason, but now that I think about it I can still remember playing the Cube for the first time and I played ISS3... not the best of first game choices. So, I think I will play Twilight Princess - although it's not as Wii'ish as Wii Sports is, I assume at the start of Twilight Princess you won't even have a sword to swing around. Choices, choices.
  8. I want children - though I want a partner who wants children and is willing to take time off their career to look after babies. That sounds tremendously selfish but my career is very important to me, as is children. So, to fit in with that I'll have to get a partner who wants them. Me and my cousin had a long talk about this - and though love is nice and all you also need someone that will agree with the big choices you make in life.
  9. Ok, sorry for bumping and double posting but I don't want to make a new thread for a related matter. Basically, I have been looking around for a new sound card when I thought I'd have a looky inside my computer to make sure the sound card was connected all nicely. I expected it to look like a flat card... like it should? However, when I looked I saw this: Does this have any relevance to my problem? And will a flat sound card still work? (I have a free slot at the bottom)
  10. This is a kinda odd question, but do any of these depressing songs start off all happy? I need a happy song that suddenly turns depressing and my music knowledge is to limited to know one.
  11. Thanks Odwin, that doesn't pick up on any sound things, I suppose I'll just buy a new one, and as my Mother said "Well, we might as well get a good one if we're getting a new one at all!" So yay! Any suggestions for good sound cards, nothing to fancy.
  12. Oh, don't you worry. He sold all his stock and has like £500,000 festering in the bank... Well, if there was no sign up fee everyone could just go to the company and get the discounted things. Also, the company is providing a service and I'm sure they aren't that well off - needing to get more money all the time. And there are no boot sales here! It's awful. Though you are very right about the competition... damn.
  13. Well, I was incredibly bored at the dinner table today as my crazed uncle went on and on about how much money he made in the stock market so I thought it would be nice to go on some crazed money making scheme. The best I saw was this thing called drop shopping. Basically, you pay £25 to join this thing. They give you a big list of items they sell. You put it on eBay for £x and sell it. You get that money, then tell the drop shopping company who the person you sold the item to is and where they come from. They then send the item. Seems nice and - looking at some of the items - it seems like it could easily make some cash. The site that seems nicest is http://www.dropshipper.co.uk/ - have a looky if it sounds interesting enough. Does anyone have any experience with this kinda thing?
  14. What new juicy stuff was revealed in ep2? I watched it and it all seemed to be old info... I was pretty bored the whole ep but I sat up when
  15. Thanks guys. It doesn't find it so I'm going to look hard for the disk that came with the computer - then if I can't find it, buy a new one.
  16. Well, I've just freshly installed Windows XP as my Windows Explorer kept crashing. And now, I don't have any sound on it and the computer doesn't pick up on any sound card... Now, I believe I have this card: http://uk.europe.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=1&subcategory=205&product=14257&nav=-1 However, I dunno where to get the driver or whatever you need to use it. Please help me, Thanks.
  17. I want to go to Glasgow but I really can't afford to do it, and I wouold go on my own, making it quite dull I would think (not the gig itself, but the travelling and such).
  18. Maybe I am spoiled, but if I had gotten a neckless and Mean Girls for my birthday I would not feel spoiled...
  19. AHHHH!!!! BEST. GAME. EVER! I would pay £50 for a CD-I just to play that FANTASTIC game. I want, I want... Anyway, our school had a CD-I and all we really played was The Apprentice and some western game with swearing in it. We also had Lemmings but for some reason no one played it... oh well.
  20. More like what didn't happen*! Just check the Neighbours BBC site, it will explain much better than us, well - me at least. *I've always wanted to say that...
  21. I believe that was the top 100 last April, this countdown shall be different.
  22. 1. GoDaddy will let it be you! 2. I think there's a thing on GoDaddy that does that, some redirecting tool. 3. GoDaddy is great for hosting - uber cheap, very good.
  23. I'm awful at F-Zero GX, I want to play it again now... Anyway, I have always loved Viewtiful Joe, it's fantastic!
  24. Yeah, same with me - just kinda playing now and again - here and there. Some of the story and voice acting really is embarrassing though - Mulan especially. Especially with the story and cut scenes taking up more time than actually playing the game.
