  1. Correct, perfect answer. I thought Danny would go for this one, given that he is in fact the detective in question :p
  2. Correct
  3. Exactly, if any of them can state the colour of their t-shirt without looking at it(perhaps headband would be better)
  4. No it wasn't because you only solved for one case.
  5. Incorrect. Matriarchy refers to social structure and culture, rather than government. Sorry I wrote three thieves instead of four The point is that knowing there are two yellow shirts and two black ones, with this set-up at least one should be able to tell their own shirt colour without looking.
  6. Correct. Correct. Well done :p
  7. Correct. Correct.
  8. I'll go now 1. Name a book which shares its name with a quote from a fictional detective, and name the detective. It was elementary for gmac 2. Name this equation: Chairdriver is (co)efficient. 3. Who flew so close to the sun that the wax on his wings melted?(mythology). Eenuh is flying high. 4. Four thieves are arrested. They are each given t-shirts, and told to stand in a line, and D to stand behind a door: A B C | D. A can see B and C, B can see C, no one can see D. No one can see their own shirt. They are told there are two yellow shirts and two black shirts. If one of them can say the colour of his own shirt they can go free. How can this be accomplished, and by whom? (hint, they are all competent) Zell sorts it out with induction! 5. If looking for booby traps, why would a can of silly string help? Diageo is not silly, he will find the traps. 6. How can a pattern in your hair help to determine your sexuality? Dannyboy-the-Dane has it (cow)licked. 7. In a room there are three light bulbs. If you are outside the locked room with the three switches, and are only allowed one trip inside(closing the door again on your way out), how do you identify which switch belongs to which bulb? (hint, it might take a long time). Fierce_LiNk shines some light on the problem. 8. Name two swimmers to win more than 6 gold medals in a single Olympics. MadDog applies some spitzshine 9. What is a government run by women called? Jonnas runs this place. 10. Which orchestral instrument plays a note before a concert to which the other instruments are tuned? Peeps is tuned-in.
  9. Yeah The page will just scroll further down though, depending on the amount of content. You could have it 50 px below the content if there is a lot, then with others it might be 200 below, which would requite more scrolling but would make each page the same size regardless of content and it doesn't look too off. Still, javascript might suit it better as you said, and I am no expert in web development :p ie it would be the same distance below the list of links on the right on all pages. Ok so my suggestion is to go into the footer in the css and add position: relative; bottom: -200px;
  10. I have been thinking on it but I will make sure my answer is correct first then try to help again :p But the answer lies in setting its position to be absolute, or fixed(maybe)
  11. I hope it is powerful and that the screen doesn't do that "real textures" thing that was rumoured. Seems pointless and just ads extra cost to the controllers.
  12. Just saw The Hangover part II, thought it was great. We're up to 25 minutes worth of ads before the film starts now...
  13. $700? Lol it must be fake, especially with all of the emphasis they are putting on pricing with the NGP.
  14. Damn... I could have sworn I saw some people answer multiple. I'll read the rules now. They call me quiz-ruiner round these parts. And Diageo. He clearly didn't know the rule either.
  15. Marth, Near, Samus. 25. I'll stop answering now since the questions are too easy, leave some for the others :p
  16. You have posted 38 times.
  17. I meant that if The Peeps had an extra point then someone gave out extra, you stated the question setter point right before I posted :p ie there should be 22 handed out, yet Peeps wanted more.
  18. But there are 22 points there already Someone gave out extra?
  19. It has to be Nintendo as long as their new console is exciting. Sony will be second since I want to see what they have with NGP and they have the most exclusives to show. I'm not sure with Microsoft, they will show kinect a lot, and their new cable tv service for xbx live diamond. Nothing to really interest me though unless they have an exciting new exclusive.
  20. I love In Bruges My favourite scene: A bottle!?
  21. I heard that too, but it would be very difficult to do while being attacked. You'd need both hands to defend yourself.
  22. I can't find the spatula and the egg behind me is going to burn
  23. Yeah I'd definitely have gone for Dyson. I had the mafia pegged except for Diageo. Then again it is always easier to be confident when you aren't actually in the game/have no stake in it.
  24. Haha awesome *immediately posts the article on facebook to see reactions*
  25. Yeah I see that around too, people who go out drinking and turn up pretty much still pissed in work are the same people who give out foreigners are taking their jobs. They point out a few rackets where foreigners only hire other foreigners or people they know, which I have also seen and hate. Goes both ways really.
