I was actually thinking about doing that too :P But I'd have to buy a 360 first, and I don't fancy having more than 1 console, waste of money imo (yeah, i used to have more than 1 in the past, but I regret that). And on the Wii I can play GH (even though I can't play II ) and SSBB, so I'll just stick with this version and keep on praying for downloadable songs

Yoochem is back mates :P I didn't visit n-europe for quite a while, had some problems with my pc + loads of other stuff to do, so didn't really have time Anyway, back on topic: I'm still playing GH, never expected this game to last that long Right now I only have to beat Raining Blood & Lou on Hard, and I'm stuck at the battle with Slash on Expert. Any tips for these 2 (3)? Just give it some time, try some other songs on hard in quickplay, and you'll get used to the extra orange note pretty soon!

My contract is also about to end (about 2 months from now I think). I'm pretty sure I'll get the Samsung F700 with a vodafone 2 year contract this time, unless the Iphone will release soon enough, support 3G and will be affordable Does anyone know when we might expect to get all this info?

If anyone thinks they can learn to play guitar by playing GH, they're morons imo:p GH is a game, it just gives you the feeling that you're actually playing a guitar Oh btw guys, if you like GH, you should really check this game out. It's soooo addictive... I... can't... stop... playing

Is it possible to use your CRT Computer monitor as a Wii display?
Yoochem replied to DazzeL's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Yeah well it's not like the Wii was made to astonish us with great visuals anyway :p though it can't hurt having the right cables, it actually makes a huge difference! So if you have the money (yes that's always the problem innit? :p ) I'd say you'd have a good reason to finally hop on to the train called LCD -
If your TV support component, don't even hesitate to get one of those fancy cables (got the official ones myself but I guess a 3rd party one would be fine too). I can tell you it makes all the difference in the world

Is it possible to use your CRT Computer monitor as a Wii display?
Yoochem replied to DazzeL's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Longer answer: Most people refer to 480p as the widescreen resolution, which is 854x480. 480p can however also be 640x480 pixels, when viewed on a regular 4:3 aspect ratio screen, so you're right there. But since the Wii is capable of displaying the widescreen resolution it's not the maximum -
Been wondering that too :\ I sure hope we don't have to send our copys through mail, because that would mean a lot of GH-less days :p But I do reckon they'd want their original disks back, so I fear we do have to send them Btw, I finished medium and now trying hard :p At first it was just a question of finishing the song or not, but I'm starting to get the hang of it and it felt reeaally good when I beat Tom Morello :awesome:

Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote
Yoochem replied to BeerMonkey's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Wow, I was really amazed when I watched those videos! Since I have a bluetooth adapter for my pc, I immediatly tried this thing out and it really works to some extent, meaning that I couldn't really get the depth effect to work, like when the guy on the video gets closer to the screen to view more of the stadium. Probably because he doesn't use the sensor bar for the IR? Still very impressive though ^^ -
I see now ^^ thanks!

Just spent 1,200 stars on Wii points yesterday, but I can't remember getting any codes for the Wii shop Do I get them by (e-)mail, or am I an idiot and did I miss something? :p
-
Lol, I'm still stuck on the final boss battle on medium... Finished every other song though And I completed 1 song on hard, yay! I still want to beat Lou (that's his name, right?), if I'm not mistaken you can buy his char after that, so that would look really cool when going online :awesome: Prolly will never beat expert though, after seeing that youtube vid :p

Can someone answer this for me please: why don't they (Nintendo) just implement a parental lock in SSBB? So that kids can't communicate or see names online, while we just can? It looks like Nintendo doesn't know that there are also decent people who play online games, not just the crazy people who want to do bad stuff to your 4 year old son :\

I just can't do solo A from "One" (medium). I can do the hammer ons/offs in the tutorial but they just don't seem to work with that solo, do I really have to press the strum like a maniac or am I doing something wrong? :p
-
Damn Nintendo! I thought I'd just wait with exchanging my stars for points, but now that I can finally enter the site, they're sold out?! And why, why do 500 stars expire after december? It's not like they can rot, can they? Just give me my damn Wii points or don't let my stars expire, damnit!

Just joined the tour group, even though I still don't have the game (damn local gameshops) :p How do these tour groups work, anyway? Does it just record the performance of everyone's SP efforts or is there more to it?

Ordered this game on wednesday at a local gamestore, but I don't have it yet I also checked some other stores, can't find it anywhere :P Really excited about this though, it's going to be my first GH game

I'm going to the USA this fall, would it be worth it to sell my old PSP here in the Netherlands and buy a new 'slim' PSP in the US? Since it's just $169.99 (± €125) I just might be able to sell the old one for exactly that price and thus getting a free new PSP :P I'm just not sure it's worth the trouble because there's barely any difference between the old and new one imo.

Ok sorry, first of all I am aware that ssbb can also use the Wiimote ("you can play this game with the GC and classic controller too"), I just made a mistake saying "one of the most anticipated Wii titles not using the 'flagship' of the Wii console". What I really meant to say is that it is kinda awkward that such a 'big' game prefers a GC controller instead of the Wiimote, which leaves me wondering what the added value is compared to this game if it were a GC release. Online mode, perhaps? But the GC had an online adapter too, Ninty just didn't use it (still one of the stupidest things ever, releasing an addon without utilising it, but that's kinda offtopic ). Ofcourse in it's current state motion controls won't be as accurate/fast as a conventional controller, but isn't the Wii all about innovating? And don't get me wrong, I love SSB and I'm sure I'll have a great time with SSBB, but don't you guys think that if they changed the gameplay a little (e.g. making the gamespeed somewhat slower) we could have gotten a revolutionary new SSB wÃth motion controls? Instead of that, we get a predictable sequel, fun as hell, more options, modes etc. and an online mode. Great, but it doesn't really fit in the revolutionary Wii idea imo. Oh, and about mr. Sakurai, I didn't know he was talking about the rumble, on the site I referred to as my source, the only thing they say about this is "The creator of the franchise Masahiro Sakurai does recommend gamers to use the Gamecube controllers, if possible. The other controls on the other hand all have a fresh input and are certainly worth trying" (yes this was a crappy translation by myself )
-
Erm, perhaps I'm a bit behind the facts, but it seems you can play this game with the GC and classic controller too (my source: a Dutch gaming website, hope you either speak Dutch or know how to use Babelfish ). My problem is that mr. Masahiro Sakurai even recommends the GC controller over the Wiimote! I mean come on, the big thing about the Wii is the Wiimote, but if we're all supposed to use the GC controller for one of our biggest franchises, then what the heck is going on? Without the Wiimote the Wii is nothing more than a GC with upgraded firmware and wifi! Is it just me or is there something wrong about one of the most anticipated Wii titles not using the 'flagship' of the Wii console?

Lol, just 1 week after SM3 released, they announce a new SM game that's coming this fall
-
I completed the whole game in 8 hours playtime, and I didn't rush at all (the swinging is too much fun for that). Returned it yesterday to the shop I got it from. Really, trust me people, this game IS fun if you like Spider-man, it's just NOT woth the €55 you pay for it considering the lack of polishment and the short storyline. Just rent it or wait for a pricedrop.

With Media markt, one of the biggest retailers of consumer electronics in Europe :p Though I don't think they have stores in the UK.
-
I don't care if this game is EXACTLY like the original game + online mode, then I'd buy it anyway :p And surely it can't be worse (gameplay-wise) than the cube-version?
