  1. Launching in June in Japan would mean that they wouldn't get a such a big launch rush and can build stock for a Thanksgiving release in the US and EU. Still seems pretty unlikely though. I hope the MGA team gets the freedom to start making a Rev game - they seem pretty talented (although I don't like Metal Gear Acid but that's just me).
  2. At 3 meters from my TV I still notice strips of loose pixels in pretty much any game I own (and yes that includes RE4 and MP2 and all the good stuff). HD is needed. Innovance - I saw the difference between an HD version (1920x1080) and a 800x450 (higher than SD) of Kill Bill on the same LCD and the difference was jaw dropping. Of course HD doesn't do all the improvement in games, but it sure makes it look better. Also I'd like to say to the spammers that they are sad people.

    Mario 128

Yeah, I agree. I loved Mario Sunshine at first but I can't find the motiviation to go for all stars (which I have done twice in Mario 64) after beating the final boss. The points you've mentioned pretty much sums up what I think of Sunshine - though it still beats 90% of all other platformers out there. I hope Mario 128 will have a better design because this was a game in which Miyamoto seemed 'out of shape'.
  4. It doesn't get more than 30% performance anyway, and if you're willing to flash (which you can reverse), you'll be closing that gap to 10%. The 6600GT is a nice pick, but I don't think it's worth the 80 quid if you can wait a while until the Radeon X8 series makes a price drop. If you decide to go for it now I reccommend looking for a 6800XT - it's a little under the 6600GT performance-wise but has far greater overclocking potential - you can unlock up to 8 more pixel pipes and some shaders, as well as overclock the core by 30%. They're basically 6800 GTs that haven't made the GT mark.
  5. The 6600GT probably won't improve much over a 9800 Pro, if at all. Especially if your 9800 has 256 MBs of video memory it'll be great at a lot of games still. Maybe if you can find a good 6800XT (which cost about the same as 6600GT) that you can unlock and overclock a bit it'll be an improvement (still depends on your luck however). The Radeon 9800 Pro can still pretty much hold its own against those mid range cards though. It's a DX 9 card, just not a DX 9.0c card like the GeForce 6 series - meaning that it doesn't have Shader Model 3.0 and some slight improvements made. Have you tried overclocking it to an 9800XT?
  6. Better looking = better graphics quality, so what's your point?

    Mario 128

I wonder if jumping will be like in the trailer, you know, flicking your controller and Mario jumps? Then we might be in for something special indeed. How is that going to work?
  8. Let's hope they are still worth some money by the end of the year. If I get more than 30 euros for my Cube I'll be lucky
  9. If the Revolution couldn't run Unreal Engine 3 it'd be extremely underpowered. Unreal Engine 3 runs 'nicely' on a high-end PC from 2004 (GeForce 6800) and the Revolution will surely beat that. It'd be interesting to see how far the Revolution gets pushed by it though If it reaches the level of Gears of War, well then I'm proven wrong about the power I guess (let's hope so  )
  10. LOL that 'alpha menu' screen is in HD resolution
  11. I'll make plenty of money this summer so I'm not saving up anything for the Revolution. But I want a MacBook for when I go to college in 1,5 years so I may get short on money for that. Oh well, I don't mind for a Rev.
  12. Listen up, we don't know nothing about the story except for the very beginning of the story (which was playable in the E3 demo) which all who don't want to know have probably avoided. Goku21, please remove Ganon from the title, because they now think that you found out Ganon is the final boss (which isn't confirmed an likely not true) while they want to save the entire story for when they play the game.
  13. Nobody in the world knows how much the PS3 and the Revolution are going to be costing, that's a secret of both companies and we'll only hear it at the E3.
  14. The Sun and other tabloids like Bild are there for people who can't make their own opinion (because they're too lazy for it mostly) and therefore need to get it out of a 'newspaper'. It's a good thing that the Rev gets some positive article in such a mag.
  15. Nobody ever said Ganon would be in it. He said 'we're preparing a surprise', not 'we're preparing a surprise with Ganon'. He knows there are people not wanting to hear that but want to play for themselves so he wouldn't make a statement like that. It doesn't seem obvious at all Ganon would be the big badass, it could very well be another enemy from the Twilight world.
  16. Sounds great - Kojima and Killer 7 team working on a Rev game! I hope it's a good action title, because that's what they do best
  17. Argh! This could mean it's still waaays off.
  18. You bet it is. Damn BigTac, now you are building my hopes up You'd better be 'real' now.
  19. Seems like some fanboy is saying 'oh we don't get Resident Evil, so we get Silent Hill exclusively'.
  20. Well I guess the piracy problem is worse in other places. It's not so bad here in the countryside of mainland Europe, I know one person with a modded PS2 and he sold it
  21. It shouldn't be long after a US launch though - I'm expecting they make the Revolution a 5th of December (Sinterklaas yay ) gift.
  22. I can't wait to see in how many ways you can rip out someone's spinal cord with the Revmote as a crowbar
  23. Just trying to point out that some people are expecting too much But I'll shut op now
