Isn't the beginning of Wind Waker wrong to show a young looking Link leaving Hyrule on Epona. Surely it implies Link didn't return because he went to Termina; when infact it was because he wasn't in that timeline any longer! Am I looking into it too much, or is it a mistake? Is it just the art style that makes the Link leaving look like young Link? Or will Twilight Princess tell the story of a new Link, in the future timeline, failing in his quest and leaving at the end on horseback? I'm confused!!

There hasn't been many actual in-game screens for Wii games since E3! but found this one for Excitetruck; Looks good! Even more so when you consider just how fast the game goes, so you won't be seeing many details anyway!
-
Remakes of Resi 2 and Resi 3 in the same style as Resi 4 are two games I'd love to see; but I don't think the chances are all that good!
-
I know it was, I've never said otherwise! details of co-op modes however were not! Sorry 'bout all the battling Hellfire! I've deleting all the posts to clear the thread up, if you wanna do the same?!

Yeah, I haven't been back to Echoes yet because of that boss! I think I might play through Prime again first, then try and get through Echoes! Prime 3's story/action is looking amazing so far!!

I wouldn't get your hopes up this will be the two character co-op everyone wants! In the interview I posted Shigsy said this; I'd assume this means one player will use the Wii-mote and nun-chuck to control Mario and Mario's star pointer, whilst the other player(s) will have a Wii-mote star pointer, to help Mario out e.g. by holding back enemies, or they could choose to hinder play and maybe there will be aditional power-ups etc... for the other player(s) to use. This fits in with what you posted; If it was two characters on-screen, both would need the nun-chuck! Hope I'm wrong, but this may not be the classic Mario and Luigi co-op mode everyone wants!

Thanks!Yeah, all i've seen of Samus controlling her ship was in a very short cutscene, no in-game ship visor. Also here's a speed-run of Super Metroid if you want to see Hyper Mode and the ending! No worrys! Cheers for the video! I actually found that video on Youtube today, but as I haven't completed Prime 2 yet I thought someone had made a pretend Prime 3 video using Prime 2 clips, and therefore chose not to watch it, so as not to spoil Prime 2! The grapple hook zipline looks AWESOME!!

What are you on about? I thought you wanted to know where Hyper Mode was in Super Metroid! So did 'ShadowV7', so I posted that interview because it told you where Hyper Mode was in Super Metroid! If you already knew about the interview then why didn't you know where hyper mode was Super Metroid? And since a few of us were trying to guess exactly what Hyper Mode would be like in Prime 3, I thought that interview just pretty much cleared up this discussion, without everyone having to search! Also, I've seen the entire E3 demo video and it didn't show Hyper mode, the ship visor in action etc... The E3 demo is the only footage of the game so far, is it not? Could you post the links to the other videos?

Yeah, Nintendo said there would probably be only 2 other non-nintendo characters in the game (and they must have been on a Nintendo console)! Sonic's bound to be one of them, so there's really just one more place!
-
Yeah I think your right! The developers have said that in Prime 3 Samus has been poisoned with the Phazon, which whilst giving her extra abilities (which must be like the Phazon attack in Prime 1), will effect her as the game goes on! EDIT: Just found this interview on IGN! So that's Hyper Mode!

I assumed they meant Hyper Mode in Super Metroid was the way you could boost-run/charge across the screen at extreme speed. It will probably be changed for Metroid Prime III because of the First Person viewpoint, but it's still called Hyper Mode. Maybe it will be like bullet time, so a motion blur effect fills the screen and everything around you slows down, you speed up, but whilst in this mode you can be alot more accurate with your attacks, you take more damage?

You new both the bold points (there the only points I didn't know)? Well it's been useful for others at least!

Yeah there is

Yeah, I wonder what they mean by expanded? Ideas; They will simply expand the Metroid universe/characters/storyline? They will make a spin-off series (such as the galatic federation FPS idea)? They will expand the game into a Multi-player series (online)?

Some new info (and some confirmations); Great to see Hyper Mode return!! A hint that Retro will start work on a new Metroid game?!

Looks good, but games magazines are a complete waste of money if you have the internet!

I voted for the first generation. Pokemon Red is actually the only one I've played and it's one of my favourite ever games. But I was put off buying the next generation of Gold/Silver (and then Ruby/Saffire) because of the number of Pokemon that were introduced! The series seemed to be getting over-complicated and there was no need for 251 Pokemon!

Seeing as Samus will travel between planets, I'd expect each planet to be a different environment, but I can't really think of any new environments! There's likely to be the usual; - Green/Earth planet - maybe the one in the trailer - Lava planet - think Episode III - Snow/Ice/Water planet - Built environment - either a city, cloud city, enemy base, space centre - You'll probably visit a few orbiting space station - like at the beginning of Prime The only new environment I can really think of would be a total water one. There was water to explore in Prime 1 and 2, but there could be a Water planet/environment in Prime 3. Like the water planet in Attack of the Clones, it could be a research/space centre both above and below the water (which would be flooded), with rain and waves crashing over, and maybe you could explore the sea floor/caves etc... They could really do some awesome water effects on the visor and with lighting!

What could have been done to help GC sales?
Retro_Link replied to Fierce_LiNk's topic in General Gaming Discussion
Nintendo could have tried advertising!! (that un-tried, un-proven, new approach that it is!! ) -
OMG!! I had know idea that Metroids changed like that!! The only Metroid games I've played are the Prime series. The Zeta and Omega Metroids are really cool and would be amazing in 3D; like T-Rex's!! Actually the Zeta Metroids are like the dinosaur type enemies in Prime 2!

Talk of an October-November launch date has been around for quite some time now I think.
