  1. That's pretty disturbing. I mean, what the hell? What language or accent was he speaking in?
  2. Really? Is that how it feels to you? See, to me, it feels very satisfying. It sounds like you could listen to it, and then just sleep happily afterwards. I guess the same sort of feeling you'd get from finishing a great book.
  3. Bliss is my favourite off that album. Space Dementia does kick arse, massively. The first 5 songs on that album just go together so well. Well grouped together. And yes, that last minute of Micro Cuts. Wow, I just got a box of Poppets, ate 3, and then tipped the whole box in between the cushions on this sofa. Thanks for ruining my night, Davey underscore Tee. That bass riff is awesome, though.
  4. Whys? I admit, I bum it. But, it deserves it. I just find it really haunting, and it does seem to follow me everywhere. It was one of my favourite songs before I started uni, and it just seemed to be more and more relevant, and even today. The words and music just seem to belong together. It probably is my perfect song. I bluddy love Rage, too. Sleep Now In The Fire is one of the first songs that I attempted to learn on bass guitar. Brilliant tune, and it's got a cracking video that goes with it. It's definitely in my top 5 Rage songs, probably along with Bullet in the head and Killing in the name of. They've had so many quality tunes. Audioslave are also pretty damn awesome, too. Brad Wilk is a very under-rated drummer. Everyone looks at Rage and says "Morello! Morello!" but Tim Commerford (the bassist) and Brad are equally as important. Tim is one hell of a bassist. Again, very tough (like with Fake Plastic Trees), but I'm going to sleep have to go with Everlong. I know that I'll still be listening to both of these songs in five years time. They're both very different, but I just love that guitar riff for Everlong. I pick up my guitar every now and again and whip that out. It just hits the spot. There's only one other song of theirs that I think even comes close to topping it, and that's My Hero. Both brilliant choons. What do you think is their best?
  5. Torn is one of my favourite songs. It reminds me of being young again, heh. Plus, Natalie is so damn hot. She's in my top 5. I just look at her and know that if we ever met she would say "oooo, Jim, ravage me. Take me with your masculinity. I also like it up the bum." The album is great, and I think it's natural to like some songs less than others. I can see why many wouldn't like Micro Cuts, because it probably could grate after a while. Screenager just seems a bit lifeless compared to the rest of the album, imo. Especially compared to Hyper Music and Bliss, those sorts of tunes.
  6. I'm eagerly waiting for his response, if he even comments at all. So, had Arsenal not appealed this decision, then Eduardo would have received the 2 game ban? Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but all an appeal basically does is allow the other side to argue their case, and ask for UEFA to look at the incident again. UEFA shouldn't be handing out bans or punishments of any kind in the first place unless they are absolutely sure that it is the correct course of action. If they had some confidence in their own decisions, then maybe clubs would have faith in them and wouldn't need to appeal. All this shows is that UEFA do not have confidence in what they do.
  7. Hmm, I've always thought that Micro Cuts was one of the hidden gems on that album. That chorus. Hearing the music cut out for that split second, then the vocals kick in, it just goes together so nicely. "I'VE SEEEEEEN What you're dooooing to meeeee" Although, I'm not a huge fan of Screenager. Could happily live without it. Haha.
  8. Hmm, I think I experimented it when we got the forum upgrade to get bigger avatars and stuff, but I think it looked strange with that sig. It looked a bit too wide, I think. A lot of people associate the sig and avatar, but I had a sig before this one which was pretty good, too. But, I've lost it and it's nowhere to be found now. I like your sig and avatar. I don't know if it was a style choice, but the colours seem to match. I like the bubble-type writing in the sig, but the text underneath looks a bit too "thin" and small compared to the one above. Still great though. 8/10
  9. It's a very worthy finalist. Like I mentioned in my other post, the song just feels very alive. There's something special about it but I can't put my finger on it. I think the video helped too, particularly with the intro.
  10. At the very least, he didn't receive a yellow card. Even after UEFA looked at it afterwards. To be honest, I feel like a tart for actually believing that UEFA were going to do something serious in a bid to at least punish players who dive. The two game ban was very harsh, but at least they were looking to punish players. All that they've shown is how stupidly weak that they are, and if anything it is just going to encourage more and more teams to appeal against UEFA's decisions in future. For the football fans out there, what does this mean? Does this mean that UEFA believe that the referee made the right decision? Does this mean that Eduardo didn't dive, despite the video replay showing no contact was made by the keeper which lead to the penalty? Does this mean that UEFA knew that they made a wrong decision by giving him a 2 game ban? Too many questions. UEFA have made a huge fuck up and now they've made themselves look completely stupid. What happens now if another player dives for a penalty next week and the referee doesn't see it? So, all this basically means that if the referee doesn't see the player, then they can do whatever they like.
  11. Ahh, thank you, dude. It's a cool picture. I didn't fully realise it was an album cover, but I had a suspicion it might have been.
  12. Chairdriver: I'm not a huge fan of the avatar, but I also don't know where it's from. So, it's probably down to me not getting it rather than thinking its rubbish or something. Its not rubbish. It seems like something I'd like to see close-up, and in a full window, rather than an avatar. 6/10 I quite like the quote, but haven't heard the song its from. So, without knowing that, and just judging the words, it's very sweet. 8/10 I think I need a new avatar and sig, maybe.
  13. Sorry for my delay, I was going to post this yesterday. Haha, that rhymed. Maybe I should enter myself for the next Music Warez? No? Nevermind. Tori Amos. Hands down. At least for me anyway. The opening few seconds of the song just seems so vibrant and alive.
  14. There are quite a few defenders who are just outside/part of the current squad who are not in the first team. Johnny Evans has done well, especially the last season, and there's the Da Silva twins. It'll be difficult to get these guys, because if anything were to happen to the likes of Evra or Vidic, then these guys are the ones who get called in. I think you might want to take a look at players such as: Ritchie de Laet and Craig Cathcart. Very young players, a brief game or some limited experience with the actual first team, but they do a good job when they come in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester_United_F.C._Reserves_and_Academy#Current_squad There's quite a few defenders there you might want to take a look at. If I remember right, Cathcart played the pre-season game against Boca Juniors, and de Laet also played the very last game of last season, against Hull. So, they have played with the first team and have been solid when called upon. I doubt they'll be called to the first team anytime soon. I think Rio, Vidic, Evans, O'shea, Brown, Neville, Fabio and Rafael would need to all be injured or suspended before Cathcart or de Laet get a first team game, at least in the Premier League anyway. Hope this helps. It was pretty nasty. I actually gasped when the camera showed Van Persie's face. Really, really horrible stuff. Also, the fact that he scored a goal at one end, then ran the entire length of pitch to celebrate infront of the Arsenal supporters is going to get him into at least some degree of trouble. Fans were throwing items onto the pitch. If the Arsenal fans didn't hate him before, they will now.
  15. 3-1 Final Score. Great result. I can't believe we went a goal down so early on. Tottenham completely took us by surprise, and Defoe's finish was brilliant. But, I think it may have shock us into action. From then on, the midfield suddenly started to work. Scholes was pulling all the strings in midfield, and Berbatov had another good game, I thought. Linking up midfield with attack, and they were the source for our creativity. Great free-kick by Giggs, and I blew the roof down when Anderson scored. The sending off pissed me off. Paul Scholes was probably one of the best players on the field today, arguably the man of the match. However, when he doesn't have the ball, his tackling is god awful. Nowadays, he doesn't seem to bother tackling and just makes lunges and so forth. He's got a bad yellow card and red card history for a reason. I honestly thought the sending off would drive Spurs on to win, and I know Crouch hit the bar somewhere in the second half. But, they looked a bit tired, I thought. Evra had control of Lennon in this game, whereas it was the other way around in past encounters. I don't think the option to play Crouch, Keane and Defoe worked, but maybe Spurs fans will feel differently about that. Rooney's goal at the end sealed it, and he's continuing his fine goal scoring run. Just one thing: At the end, Carrick was in on goal, into the box, and I thought "ok, here's a chance for number 4." What does he do? He looks for someone else to square it to. I love him as a player, and I rate him highly, but he needs to regain his killer instinct. He's getting far too unselfish as a person. Saying that, there were so many brilliant performances today. Carrick helped hold the midfield when he came on. Anderson, Giggs, Scholes and Fletcher were all brilliant in midfield. I wasn't sure putting Fletcher out wide for this game was the right thing to do, as I think he's more effective in the middle. But, he was great, again.
  16. Fuck, United 1-0 down after a minute. Come onnnn,United! Giggssssssyyy! Thank You, Grandfather Time. Andersonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! Fuck yes.
  17. My brother and I were following Gilette Soccer Saturday. Our mouths both dropped when the third and fourth City goal went in. We both thought Arsenal were going to blitz them in the second half, and they seemed to start really brightly. Didn't Van Persie hit the post twice in the last 5 minutes? I can't wait to watch it on MotD tonight. It's been a high scoring day. You'll be hard-pressed to find someone who will say that they didn't deserve it, though. It just seemed like 45 minutes of Chelsea pounding on Stoke's door in that second half.
  18. Ooo, lets use that! Nando, that idea is awesome. I'd like to do this predicting on a weekly basis. Fresh: I hope you're right with that United prediction. Although, ufufufufufufufufu. Man City beating Arsenal, Stoke leading against Chelsea, and goals in the Portsmouth game. Noooooo. My predictionsssss. *melts*
  19. Does this mean you can now use it in your room, again? Wohoooooo. Also, say hi to Fabel for me. Fabelzilla.
  20. Haha, wohoo. I knew it was going to work. The third person in our relationship is Dylan Moran from Black Books. We share him. Also, there's a lot of Dyson love. I'm sure there's plenty of him to go around. Not calling him fat or anything.
  21. I was going to ask who this was! In my head I was thinking "haha, what a tart." My face dropped in the second paragraph.
  22. Haha, what the fuck? What is the point of that?! Do they get worried that customers will pull the stickers off, to replace them with other stickers to fool the staff, or something? Gah. There is the slight problem of extra bulk, but seriously, it's a brilliant solution. Plus! it means that the game isn't grubby from the hands of customers who have held the game, oohed and ahhed at it before you buy it. Haha, what is this Goo-gone? Wasn't he in Episode 1: The Phantom Menace?
  23. There was also this one time where I bought a pre-owned game from Gamestation. They actually attached a pre-owned sticker to the manual. So, that manual is now disfigured! Ahhh! Why do they do this?! I can't remember which shop it is, but they've got a cool way of doing it. They have the box inside another transparent box, with the sticker attached to that. That is godly.
  24. One thing that pisses me off is when shops such as HMV put sticky labels on the games or CDs. Sometimes they won't come off straight away, and leave the white-crappyness behind, stuck to the case. I remember when I bought an Oasis album in the past from there, and the label wouldn't come off! Eventually, I peeled every tiny little piece off, but I was then left with a sticky case. Absolutely ruined it! I was fuming.
  25. It's hard being away from football. When I went to see the female last in Belgium, we spent the evening watching football on Match of the Day! That's dedication, haha. The next day, I was watching the United game with her next to me playing a game. So, that's two days worth of football, after not seeing each other for months. That's love right there! I don't think I could physically last a week or a month without some kind of football. Thank God for pre-season and classic matches on telly. Have a good time, dude.
