  1. So, are you infact saying that more time should have been added? I'll say this and I'll say this for the last time: One minute of that stoppage time comprised of City celebrating their equaliser. One minute. Fergie also decided to swap Anderson for Carrick, which I might add is probably a defensive decision, in order to stop City going up and getting a winner. So, that one minute and time for that substitution were simply added on to the end. 90 minutes. 91 minutes was the time of kick off. 94 minutes would have been the end of the game had the delay because of the substitution and goal celebration had not taken place. So, 94 minutes plus the one minute that was taken away because of the celebration, and another 30 seconds that were as a result of the substitution. Owen scored at around 95 minutes and a half. Some places say 26 seconds, some say 24. But, the fact of the matter is that it was within the added on time designated by the referee. Why are you not getting this? It's pretty simple and very clear. When Owen puts the ball in the back of the net, there are merely a few seconds left before the allotted added on time by the ref would have expired. Or, are you now asking why there were 4 minutes of added on time? Maybe you should email a referee or the referee's association or something. No, I have given you an example of stoppage time added at Old Trafford, regardless if United are winning or losing. For your information, five minutes of time were on the board, but there was also a delay because of Wenger being sent into the stands. Guess what? That was added on at the end. I think Gizmo answered your point well.
  2. It has happened a few times with me. Although, the last time it happened was soooo weird. I entered a club with my friends, had a drink, and then another drink later on. Then, before I knew it, we were going home. I just seemed to lose all sense of time. But, very little seemed to happen between entering and leaving the club. Maybe I blocked out the most uneventful night ever?
  3. Poor Raining. You guys suuuuck. I mean, you suck hard and badly. You know those people who climb or scale buildings using equipment like suction pads. Well, you suck worse than them. You suck so badly that it is impossible for you to move up the building, because you are sucking sooooo hard onto the building, rendering it impossible for you to un-suck and move forward. I quite enjoy Strictly Come Dancing. I used to watch it with my housemates back in Brighton. Also, Peter Schmeichal was on it, and he gave an awesome performance. The Gentle Giant. I haven't seen too much of this series, but I will be sure to check the next show to see how it's going.
  4. That's the thing with cheaters, they really know how to deceive you. They're the experts at deception. How can you trust someone who lies? You can't, I guess.
  5. You're a beard with an idiot hanging off it.
  6. Really, if she's making you feel this bad, then she's soooo not worth it, dude. Why bother with someone who makes you feel like crap? Things seem pretty shit with sprinkles on top, but things are never bad forever. Everyone has their day. I think you should begin to put her behind you, for good. And move forward. Start a new chapter.
  7. Do a little daaaance. Make a little looooove. Get down tonight! *da dada da!* GET DOWN TONIGHT! I'm gonna get some Barry White. Yeeeeah. The love doctor. Is about to speak.
  8. There are quite a few friends that I know that probably would struggle a little if they were to go without drink. Also, I had a friend who was in tears when the smoking ban came through...literally. That was shocking. I don't actually know the last time I drank. My drink of choice is tea, anyway. Although, it sounds like the person is not in full control of themselves if they are depending on drink. Out of curiosity, why weren't they drinking? Personal choice?
  9. Recently, a very good friend of mine told me that her boyfriend of 5 years had been cheating on her for the last 6 months. I was heartbroken for you, and I've been cheated on in the past so I know exactly how it feels. You can work this stuff out, but only if both sides want to work at it. It's a severe breakage of trust, and there's no telling how long it will take to earn that trust back. In many cases, the trust can't ever be recovered. She can use whatever reasons she likes for cheating, but it doesn't justify her actions. She was in the wrong, and she knew what she was doing. I mean, taking you out to the shops so that the guy could be snuck out? And involving her Mum in the situation? That's pretty calculated and very low. Remember, she is only just one person. There are...so many out there. I lose count. I guess you just need to the courage to tell her how you feel. Whether you do want to give her another chance, or whether you want her out of your life and the ability to move on. Either way, you'll need courage for that. You can find it here and within yourself.
  10. Thanks, dude. *big sigh* - from my above post. Again, you cannot say any of that because you're talking "What ifs." Also: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8223417.stm United vs Arsenal. Arsenal losing 2-1. At Old Trafford. Oh wait... Arsenal also had a goal rightly ruled out for Off-side. United were defending for their lives. So, I have given you EXACTLY the scenario that you described. No whistle blown until 97 minutes. United scored wellllll before the end of the game.
  11. If that is the case, then the officials need to grow a back-bone and just get on with it. No managers or players are above the game, so if they are interfering then the officials should do something about it. If they did, then maybe all this talk of United having it easy would die down. All the players on the field can do is play until the whistle blows. I mean, you're taught that at the most basic level. It pisses me off when players stop running for example because they think they're offside and squander a good goal-scoring chance. So, you play to the whistle. Whether it's the 1st minute of injury time or the 101st, leaving Michael Owen unmarked in the box is a very risky thing to do, and they paid the price. Like I mentioned earlier, the added on time was there for City, too. They had just scored the equaliser so they were in the ascendancy. Why didn't they go for the winner? And, you can't safely say for sure that no other team would have been afforded such time. If you are right, then surely this is the fault of the officials and not the players or the team. How exactly are the big four to blame for what the officials do?
  12. I couldn't remember the exact times from the game, so I visited the BBC website: 90:00+6:58 The final whistle is blown by the referee. They don't state how long was spent celebrating, but there is a minute and a half between Owen scoring and the whistle blowing. We're never going to know the exact reason unless a referee or official comes out and states exactly the reasoning behind it. Watching Match of the Day, the presenters said that a minute was added because of Bellamy's goal celebration. Also, 30 seconds was added for the Carrick/Anderson substitution. So, a minute and a half. 90 minutes + the 4 minutes + the minute and a half...pretty much comes at 95:30.
  13. I'm in. Here are my three songs. If there's any problems with them, then just say. These are three personal favourites, and in all honesty I'm not expecting them to do amazingly well. They're probably not what many would first think of when they think "great songs." Jesus and Mary Chain - Just Like Honey Bloc Party - So Here We Are and finally... Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart The sound quality isn't particularly amazing. But, hopefully it'll be ok. All three of these are personal favourites. I had trouble just choosing three, but I'll save some for future games. I think these three songs represent a big part of my life, and I consider them to be very important. Like Everlong, I believe I think of these as more than just songs. There's so many memories I have attached to these. Hopefully people will like them.
  14. That's true, they were at him, but I do think Given did well to at least react quickly enough to block these attempts. Also, he didn't just knock the ball back into play, but knocked them away from danger. What about the Berbatov header from the corner? He was only a few feet out and I thought it was a good reflex save? Looking back on it, he should've probably buried those in the corner. But, that's only looking at it in hindsight.
  15. Yeah, Berba is probably kicking himself that he didn't score. Given made some excellent saves to keep him out. I was actually saying noooo when he got taken off for Owen, haha. You don't need to add the exact time maybe, but the celebration did take place just into the 90th minute. What's really stopping teams for celebrating for a good two minutes or so then? In a post-match interview, Mark Hughes also did state that the fourth official told him he was including another minute because of the celebration. Whether or not it is the correct decision is very debatable. To be honest, I wish the match were still going now, as I didn't particularly want it to end.
  16. Bluddy hell, what a game. My throat was killing. I was sure Fletcher had won the game and then Bellamy snatched an equaliser. First off, what the hell, I can't believe how naive we were defensively. Foster in the first half, when he should have just booted it well clear. Then, Park and O'shea just do not get close enough to Bellamy, allowing him a shot relatively unchallenged. Then, Rio...I was nearly in tears at that point. Of all the things to do, why was he so reckless in giving the ball away? The second half performance was fantastic, City were completely pegged back and very rarely even came into the game. Apart from a brief spell before half time when Tevez hit the post, I don't think City were posing too many problems...well, if you discount the shocking defending from United anyway. As DuD says: Bellamy scored right before the 90 minutes were up, and kick off didn't commence until the 91st minute. A lad over at the 606 forums had got the relevant times and such: As for the four minutes, there were an awful lot of free kicks and corners that were given. Something like 11 corners, I don't know how many free kicks. Then, we used all three subs (one in injury time) and City used one. 3 or 4 minutes sounds about right, imho. Saying that, it was really cutting it fine. So tense towards the end. When your team is chasing a winning goal, you pray and pray for more injury time. I can definitely see why many fans would be pissed, but considering what I mentioned above, I think it can be somewhat justified. Also, as another person mentioned on 606, the 4 minutes is also a minimum suggested injury time, so it's still up to the ref to blow the whistle. Would I have been angry if the ref had blown the whistle at 94 minutes or something? Probably, because given that the kick off didn't start until the 91st minute, that's a minute of injury time lost. However, I'd have been waaaaaaaay more pissed at Rio for fucking around with the ball to giftwrap City that goal. I'm still angry at him. Hats off to Man City for contributing to a fucking awesome match. When they went forward and scored after Fletcher's first, I was shocked. Then, Shay Given gave an outstanding performance by blocking Berbatov about 2 or 3 times, then Giggs...I thought he had saved City once again. Brilliant goalkeeper. My throat seriously hurt from screaming because I thought Berbatov had scored on each occassion. Then, when Fletcher got the second, I blew the roof down. For a team to come back three times when going a goal down is a brilliant show of character, so I commend them for that. They gave a great performance against Arsenal last week, then the game today. They mean business. One thing though...injury time works both ways. City had enough time to go upfield and get the winner, and after they had scored their third goal, surely the ascendancy was with them? I do think it says something when you think that they weren't leading at any point in the match.
  17. Welcome Back, Stefkov. I'm in paaaaaain today. My calves still fucking ache, and I can barely walk. It sucks. When I get up from a lying down or sitting down position, it takes like a minute to adjust and start walking, and even then, I'm walking like I've got Justin Timberlake stuck up my arse. Damn you, Gym! Today was ok, though. Just mainly watched Gilette Soccer Saturday, tidied up around the house and...did very little else. A quiet day. Tomorrow will be much busier I expect though, as I have tons of family coming around. It just so happens that they'll be around on the same day as the Manchester Derby...noooo.
  18. But voting for one artist does not mean that you do not like the other one. Plenty of people in each round have said that they've liked both artists, but prefer one above the other. It's not a love or hate world, you can just like one thing a tiny bit more than the other. The same could be said for every round. You have no way of knowing that everyone has listened to both songs in any of the rounds, unless they purposefully state it. But, they're only cheating themselves. It's meant to be a friendly game, but it seemed to get a bit un-sporting or something towards the very end. I mean, the fact that Paj openly that he lied once or twice, I think it just went a bit far. I mean, you're worried that people were deliberately not going to like Tori Amos. I think the same can be said for Everlong, maybe.
  19. Congratulations. I think for the next round, we should maybe...drop this idea that we need to justify exactly why we prefer certain songs over the others. When I say exactly, I mean having to detail every little reason why we love that song. I must admit, it was a bit patronising for those of us who happened to like a particular song not of the Amos variety.
  20. Hmm, if it works for you, then it's good. But, that wouldn't work for me at all, haha. I think I enjoy the journey rather than the actual "end product" if that makes sense. In Majora's Mask for example, I loved the exploration, messing with time, and consequences, rather than finally defeating the end boss. I think the journey is much more important to me.
  21. Maybe you should stop buying games, until you've finished all the ones you have? Seriously, do eet. Also, surely the more games you buy and stuff, the less you get out of them. I love playing games and finding absolutely everything in them.
  22. As long as you get to play them, though. Poor Wii games.
  23. I've only just seen your post in Wii General, and just replied to eet. So, it had nothing to do with that...because I didn't even know that post existed, haha.
  24. I think you said everything we were thinking in your very last sentence. If there were video replays, we wouldn't need this stuff. I mean, there were extra referees in the Everton game and still Louis Saha ended up getting sent off for very, very little. So, are these referees only for goal-line stuff?
  25. But why buy if you don't play it? It just seems very impractical to me. It's like people who buy DVDs and never watch them. I mean, never ever watch them. Maybe there's a difference between a Game's Collector and...something else, haha.
