Haha, I actually think a league would be easy to do. We wouldn't need to have separate leagues or tables because there wouldn't be more than 20 or so players. Here's what I propose: One league. I don't mind organising the fixture list. Unless somebody else desperately wants to do it. We play one match a week. (we can expand it to 2 if we really want to) Player A and player B organise it amongst themselves when they meet up to play the match. Let's say that the matches must be played before a certain day, e.g. before 23:59 on Sunday. So, that means that A and B have all week (from Monday to Sunday) to organise their match. That way, we're not relying on everybody to come online at the same time to do their games if it's not possible. Unless we do go for that...which would also be fine, but a lot less flexible. What do you think? The key I think would be to make it fairly flexible, which we can do with this seeing as we only really need two people online (A and B in this case) at a time. Although, we'll need to do that once we get a big N-Europe team going. But, for the league, maybe make it flexible? Edit: LOL, lostmario, were you suggesting you could organise the league or did I get that wrong? I think I missed that subtext entirely there. Haha. If you want to do it/help it/we do it together, that could be an option. Either way, whether you do it or I do it or somebody else is, I'm determined to get us all playing FIFA.

Hey guys, I've been having another thought about something we could do when this game arrives. What about having our very own Match of the Day highlights show? This should be a piece of piss using the PS4's share button and share factory. Here's what I propose. 1. Player A vs. Player B. 2. One of these players records the match using the share button. We could record the introduction to each game so that we have formations and line-ups being shown for the highlights. 3. Save the footage at regular intervals. E.g, save during formations/line-ups, save at half time, save at final whistle (since the PS4 saves footage for every 15 minutes). 4. Upload the stuff to share factory, edit the footage. We could even add commentary if we really wanted to make this look the business. 5. Put the footage onto youtube. Done. How's that sound? I reckon it would be fun as fuck. We could see other people's games, the highlights wouldn't really have to be long either. If we do this in conjunction with a league, it could be really, really incredible.

Earlier today, the BBC were saying he was in contention. Just had a look back and it's now saying the stuff about the permit. Well, that's just great.

How's this going for everyone? It's very quiet in here! I'm fully into the swing of things. I tell you what, it's weird bulking. I feel hungry all the fucking time. I'm drinking tons of water, too.
-
Think that brings us up to six players who have pre-ordered already!

u fucking wot m8? SIX WEEKS? I've not checked the footie stuff today, just had a quick look now. SIX WEEKS? You fucking kidding me? So, we can't play two of our new signings on the weekend because they are injured. No Carrick either. I'm pretty sure Rojo can play, though. Tbh, this was going to happen. We needed to buy more and we just haven't. I don't see the sense in waiting til the window closes...why not plan ahead like most of the other big teams have and get the players well in advance? To top it all off, Fellaini is also injured. Which means that we can't move him on because nobody buys injured players and...we can't even fucking play him either. If we don't buy another midfielder now, we're fucked. In fact, we probably need two for the centre and at least one new winger. STILL no cover at right back even though Rafael spends more time out injured than anyone. So angry at our lack of planning.

I'd think very, very carefully before paying for a WiiU version. Read up everything that you can beforehand, because there will be things that are cut...possibly added. I don't think the WiiU version will be a definitive version of the game at all. What concerns me is that an integral component of the game is the online. Personally, I don't know whether there will be enough people buying this game to actually make it worthwhile. I can imagine searching for people to hack and having to wait minutes, or struggling to find others to race against. I might be wrong, there might be just enough to make it work. The fact that there's been very little info about the WiiU version rings alarm bells. I'd strongly consider waiting for a few weeks after the release and reading up on views and comments of the game before putting your cash down on it.

I believe that there's a demo for Nano Assault on the eShop. If it's still there (should be). I downloaded the demo and had a good time playing it. I also owned Geometry Wars Galaxies (think that's it) for the Wii, which was also superb. The ideal scenario would be to have both. But, at least you can get this on the 360/PS3, whichever one you have.

The online stuff in this game is a bit different in some ways. I found it very interesting. Basically, you can be hacked by other gamers whilst you're playing midgame. You can turn this off in the settings and I think that there's some occasions where you can't be hacked (e.g if you're in the middle of a story mission, cut scene) But, gamers have entered my games and I've entered theirs. There's a few things you can do as part of this "mode". There's online tailing and online hacking. Online hacking is where you enter somebody else's game and you have to hack them without them spotting or seeing you. This is pretty fucking intense. There's the opposite of that where somebody is hacking you and you have to find them. Online tailing is where you enter somebody's game and you have to just follow them around, keeping them in view. Vice versa, somebody can enter your game and they follow you around, scanning you. The unique thing about this is that...you're not always aware that you're being tailed! I've entered somebody's game and have scanned them whilst they were in the gun store. They came out and walked right past me, obviously unaware that I was even there. Probably my favourite mode. There's online races, typical race through different locations to get to the finish line. Pretty fun really. Then there's decryption which is like a capture the flag style mode. Think that's it. So yeah, I've spent a lot of time online in this game. Yeah, all the other stuff I mentioned is offline. There's tons of stuff to do in the game. Saying all of that, I haven't played GTA since the original or any of the Saints Row games or anything of that type. So, I can't compare. To me, there seems like there's shit tons of stuff to do. It's easily my most played game for a long time.

Seriously, the criminal convoys, digital trips, chess games, gang hideouts and fixer missions are all way superior to the actual missions in the game. Even then, I quite liked the main story, it's decent. The hideouts are great because you have more of an opportunity to use the weapons and skills that you've acquired throughout the game, whereas you might not get much of a chance to do so with the story missions. It really is a shame that this isn't out for the WiiU. If anything, because it'll be the only proper open world game that appears for a long time, if ever. Unless Nintendo actually do create an open world Zelda, which I'm not convinced by yet.

I didn't get to the end of the game. Not because the game was hard or owt, I just stopped playing. It was around about the time that I started to get bored with Nintendo and I just didn't feel much of an incentive to keep playing.

Soon.jpeg Brilliant! I'm playing through Left Behind. Really enjoying it, so far. It took me a while to get into the game, especially the aiming. The upgrades REALLY help and I fucking love it when you can improve your weapons or abilities in a game. It made Tomb Raider so playable for myself. Couldn't hit shit at the start of the game. Was hitting things from miles away by the end. Really enjoyed it. I think it's the perfect length for going through it multiple times, too.

I'm going to stick up for Watch Dogs here. :p I really, really like it. I've also not spent THAT much time on the story itself. There's just tons to do, I've easily spent more time on the gang hideouts and fixer contracts than the story. It's not perfect and no doubt Ubisoft will make a better game when they inevitably create the sequel, but it's still a very, very good game in my opinion. You could easily spent hundreds of hours on this if you wanted to see everything...I dread to think of how much time I spent on this. We're talking anything from 3-7 hours playthroughs at a time. Oh dear. :p Anyway, this thread is negative. Why is it negative? Well, quite easy really. Are things going well? If everything is going well and there are tons of games to play and lots to talk about and admire, then the negativity is at a minimum. When things go wrong, people complain. Pretty simple stuff really, not sure at all why people are so surprised that there happens to be gamers who aren't happy with what Nintendo have or haven't done with this console. I still feel ripped off by the £200 I put down for this.

I've almost forgotten that this game exists. I enjoyed most of what I played, but it's not a god-tier Mario game. Some of the reviews about this game remind me of some of the ridiculous reviews that went out about New Super Mario Bros Wii, it's definitely not up there with the likes of Galaxy, Super Mario 64, but it is better than ALL of the New series. I'd say that it's a step below the ultimate Mario games. Didn't try multiplayer. Not sure if I will, I don't really do couch multiplayer these days. The graphics on this game are really nice though and everything looks wonderful.

Let's put a stop to this and resume some kind of normality.

I know there's issues there, so I tend to steer well clear of that. Did @Blade manage to get his Virtual Console stuff back, in the end?
-
I wouldn't want him, tbh. Great talent, but he's too inconsistent and too temperamental. We're bad enough as it is these days without the possibility of him getting sent off or just simply not putting the performances in. I can see somebody like Van Gaal maybe getting a lot out of him, but it would require a loooot of effort. He's also ex-City scum, so naaaah. He's no different to Suarez in some respects because he's volatile and unpredictable. For £16 million, it's not a bad deal. But, if you were Daniel Sturridge, would you really want him as your partner? It has the potential to work, but you can't really trust him. City moved him on for a reason.

I actually don't have a problem with the idea of digital content these days. I use and abuse spotify like it's my own wife, spending hours on that thing, compiling playlists and so forth. It's just easier. I've got my CDs a few metres away from me but inserting the whole lot onto my hard drive, removing the discs, putting them away...it's just not worth all the hassle. My DVDs are normally on our television unit. We had to pack them away in boxes last week in order to move the unit. I haven't put them back yet. I've also realised just how much space we have on our unit without our DVDs. It's weird, where did all this space come from? From all of those films that just occupy space. I don't see a problem with digitally downloading games. In fact, I'm for it. I've got The Last of Us inserted into my PS4, but Ine can easily switch to Strider or Resogun just with a few buttons. It saves space, time and effort. I believe that I'm ready for digital content. Does it really matter that you have the disc right in front of you or the box that you won't look at for about 90% of the time you have it? It's not essential to me any more. It makes sense for a lot of games where you just want a quick go on it before you pop out, for example. FIFA would be brilliant digitally. No need to swap discs, open up cases, go to television units, etc. Just turn the console on and it's there. The issue for me is price. Not only that, but these days I crave new experiences. I'm all for Nintendo re-releasing stuff on the Virtual Console because there's a crowd out there who love that stuff. It's useful for stuff like Earthbound, games that never came to Europe, etc. But, I personally want new stuff. So, that's the first thing I'm after. Secondly, price-wise, it really depends on the software. Having more promotions and discounts does have an effect on me and it worked in the case of Transistor, paying a tenner for that seems like a good deal to me. £7.99 for a game like ZombiU is a steal. So, there are good prices out there. The one thing that I'd like to see is cross-buy become more of a standard thing. If I buy Super Mario World on the WiiU, I should be able to play that on the 3DS as well, at no additional cost. I'm liking all of these cross-buys that are apparent on the PS3/PS4/PSV services, it's the way to go. You could in theory keep the prices the same, imo. Paying £10 for a game that you can use on your 3DS may be a decent deal, buy paying £10 for a game you could use on the 3DS AND the WiiU would be a great deal. It's better value for money.

Bid has been accepted, so it looks like it will happen. Not sure if it's a good move or not. Great player (when he's in the mood) but his attitude is up their with the worst. Not sure if Liverpool can afford the possible hassle after just having Suarez on their books. The bigger news for me today is that Di Maria wants to leave Real Madrid. They would be utter nutters to let him go, one of the best players in the world last season. Would pay all of the chocolate money in the world to see him here. Apparently Khedira wants out, too. Both of them would drastically improve our team.

Hmm, a bit of a shitty week in terms of third party games not appearing on the system. What did we expect, really? I hope Nintendo's content for the system in 2015 and beyond is stellar. It'll have to be, since that's all we'll be playing. I truly wonder if next year could be the final year for the WiiU, or will it run until 2016? If it makes it to its fourth year anniversary, then at least that's something. I can't see how Nintendo are going to get back the type of gamers who play games like Call of Duty, GTA and PES/FIFA. I really do think that they're gone. Imo, that sort of crowd belongs on the MS or Sony systems, so the best Nintendo can hope for (and they know this) is to be an "and" choice. So, PS4 AND WiiU, XBone AND WiiU. The only way to do that would be to offer alternatives or stuff that you can't get on the other systems. In this case, it'll most likely be their own stuff. But, if they could at least get third parties on board to create new games for the system, then that would draw people in. I'd be quite comfortable owning a Sony machine and a Nintendo one, but they need to do more to entice gamers to do this. Their own stuff simply isn't enough. Some of my favourite Wii games were PES2011 (amazing, amazing game), Muramasa, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Dead Space Extraction, Little King Story and de Blob. So, you need the third party stuff because Nintendo won't or can't create content like some of these games.

Please teach me, oh great one.

I've finished eet.

Tatsunoko vs Capcom was really, really good. I goof'd by not giving it the full attention it deserved, but I saw enough to know that I liked it a lot. The WiiU started off with some decent fighters. Tekken is there, as is Injustice and soon Smash will be here. You can never really have too many, mind.

Oh fuck, why didn't I think of that? Will there be a difference in terms of lighting and AI between the new-gen versions and last gen? It won't literally be the same game, right? I keep logging into here and expect to see news that it's been delayed or it's suddenly turned bad. Terrified, brah.
