  1. Season 2 of His Dark Materials has been great, so far. Really enjoying it. It naturally feels like there has been a step up since season 1, and I think the casting choices have been the right choices, especially for the roles of Lyra and Will. Love it, tbh. Thought Episode 2 was one of the strongest eps of the series.
  2. Training legs on Monday, the start of the week when you're meant to be at your freshest, makes a lot of sense. Also, at the same time, it is unbelievably fucking stupid, since it now means that I'll be tired and drained for tomorrow and maybe Wednesday.
  3. This game is going to push even a new console like the PS5 to the limit. Looks like it requires a ton of processing power...so those fans will already be in overdrive. Should have just waited for the PS6, tbh. This is just The Last Guardian all over again.
  4. Congratulations, @bob and Bobette. Achievement unlocked!
  5. Really poor performance from us. Our home form is appalling. Arsenal looked more up for it and mentally looked better than us. Completely deserved that win.
  6. Tasty game tomorrow. I hope that we put in a great shift and get a good result. Tempted to say that we'll win 3-0...two from Sir Marcus and the other from Bruno.
  7. Lol, so this Government didn't have the money for poor kids' meals last week, but suddenly have found the money for furlough for another month.
  8. Those slides. Fucking hell. The numbers AND the formatting. We're so screwed.
  9. He's utterly useless. Twitter is doing his job for home! Apparently wanted to do the conference on Monday, then the info got leaked. Then decided to host the announcement at 4pm, then delayed it til 5pm, then 6:30pm, then 6:45pm. He's blundered it by messing up going into a second lockdown, and he hasn't even got this conference right. Utterly useless. Give it to Rashford until the end of the season.
  10. Yeah, this is really sad news. He's an icon and seems to be universally liked/loved. It's a shame. On the plus side, 90 years old is a fantastic run and he'll be remembered fondly. Still, it's always sad to see a legend go. R.I.P.
  11. Sir Marcus Rashford, Prime Minister of the UK. What a guy. When he's not making sure that children get fed, he's scoring goals in the Champions League.
  12. I'm just waiting for that time to jump in and starting over on PS5 seems to be the logical thing to do for me. I enjoyed my time with it and that was on its first iteration, so I've missed all of these updates. Looking forward to re-starting!
  13. Hit legs today. Finished about 2 hours ago, but my calves are still on fire and it feels like all of the energy has been sapped out of me. Completely wiped out now.
  14. Funny enough, I've switched my routines around and am aiming for volume these days instead of going for high weight. I've been doing reps in the 8-10 range (mostly 10) and have been enjoying it a lot more. It's amazing the burn you get on those final few reps. My legs felt like they were going to burst.
  15. Thought United looked very flat against Chelsea. I don't think Chelsea were anything great either, although they should have had a penalty thanks to Maguire. We were the better team, although it wasn't by much. Just an all-round boring display by two managers who are punching above their weight and are out of their depth. Chelsea were there to be had and we didn't do enough to challenge them. Getting quite frustrated at the lack of game-time for VDB, too. He seemed like such an obvious player to put on in a game where we're trying to break the opposition down like that. Playing Dan James from the start was a huge mistake and meant that we threw away one sub by replacing him. Ole got the defensive part right yesterday, but the attacking part was just lifeless.
  16. Somebody will take him up, but 16 league appearances in 2 years is shit. He should strongly consider dropping into the Championship. It's a shame his career hasn't lived up to early expectations, but at this stage he just needs to be playing football regularly.
  17. Vote: Villa for the league. If United don't do it (lol), let's go balls deep on Villa pulling it off.
  18. That Spurs/West Ham match was juicy as hell. 3-0 with less than 15 to go, hats off to West Ham for not just giving up and rolling over.
  19. That Pickford "tackle" was straight out of Mortal Kombat. Pure Brutality. I really don't like Pickford, but he made a few great saves today. But, yeah, he clearly should've been sent off after that tackle. I'm amazed at that decision. Basically, if the offside flag goes up, you get a free pass at taking out one of the other side's players.
  20. That's great progress! There's definitely a clear difference between the photographs. Well done!
  21. Do it. That offside decision in the Everton/Liverpool match is just hilariously awful. The law-makers/rule-makers/law-keepers have lost sight of what it is that they're trying to do. You don't gain an advantage by having that part of your body in that position, and that's such a difficult thing to have control of during a match in realtime. It doesn't work that way. The law isn't necessarily there for that. Firstly, the law needs updating and made relevant for the game in its current state. Then, the technology needs to be implemented and used properly, in accordance with those laws. When you've got diehard-United fans sticking up for Liverpool, you know that something must be wrong!
