My day was mainly boring except for this: I don't know if any of you have seen it before so sorry if this is 'as old as the internets' but after reading that I just couldn't help but feel so empty inside. ;_;

If you read the reasons Edge have given and have played Halo 3 then you can understand the angle they are coming from. Personally though I think Crysis should have got it though for it's dynamic environments and being miles ahead of any other game in graphical design, and after watching videos people have made using Sandbox2 that looks like one of the best level editing tools ever. Portal doesn't innovate gaming as a whole; it offers an innovative and highly enjoyable puzzle experience but that will never be replicated on another IP. To make more sense of my point, it's like how Ocarina of Time invented the Lock-On system, that wasn't core to the game so other games were able to borrow it and use it to help improve their own gameplay and it wouldn't be seen as ripping Ocarina off because the Lock-On system is only one small part of the unique and groundbreaking experience it offered. While the innovation of Portal is the Portal Gun itself, if you saw it in other game by another company that would be a breach of copyright.

For all we know Cube could be a good guy with helpful powers, there's nothing to be sure of this early on.

Hmm, if it was Sylar who killed Cerberus (Chuck) then surely he has now absorbed whatever powers Cerberus had. This could make whoever is Sylar very dangerous.

Even though Versus XIII looks awesome, knowing Tetsuya Nomura and the Kingdom Hearts team all those extravagant moves will probably be pulled off by successively tapping the X button. Hopefully they might actually bother to build a robust and involving battle system for this game, then I might actually buy a PS3. I'm gonna guess end of 2009 for America.

Oh God, listening to Classical Music while playing Counter Strike is probably one of the greatest things ever. I can't help but feel remorse when pulling headshots while Adagio for Strings is playing. Pendulum works awesomely too when I'm in the mood.

Final Fantasy is a love/hate situation for me, while I love some of it (VII,IX) I hate other parts of it (VIII, X). I think XII was a step in the right direction by scrapping turn-based battles but unfortunately I just didn't feel compelled to play it; the characters were uninteresting and the plot was far too dull. XIII does look interesting though, and I do agree that the Kingdom Hearts storyline takes itself far too seriously and is very overcomplicated considering its target audience.

What. The. Fuck? This makes no sense at all, except maybe that they won't have to pay some writers to devise a completely original storyline. Couldn't they have at least tried Vietnam?

Agreed, for me Half Life 2 is one of those games that I can play again and again and never get bored of, in fact I'm going to play it right now. (I'm just about to finish my playthrough of it on the 360)
