Ultimately these are all multiplayer games, about gamng communities, there's likely not going ot be another mario kart, smash, maybe evens platoon for a long long time. Nintendo fans are almost forced to buy these to be a part of that community, but they've already bought them. They wouldn't be releasing switch now or porting these games over if the WIi U wasn't such a catastrophic bomb. So it's kind of two gfiners up to Wii U owners; they should compensate them.

This is sort of what I'm thinking. I've NEVER liked Pokemon, I was a tad too old when it launched and played it and liked it but didn't really get into it, I bought the remakes a few years ago on DS, played for a bit, quite liked but stopped. I really want to give this a go, so preordered it; but if the Switch is getting a port or the 3rd entry than I'd prefer to wait... Obvously they don't want to hurt sales of these, but they should tell us... Want one of the rumour mongers to tell us if it's a port or a new game before it releases....

Let's hope they take less money off us than people who didn't buy the wii u version!! Digital upgrade price please nintendo!!

There are games at the price on the app store, what's the issue? People would bitch if they released a cheap cash in for 99p. Maybe this implies it's going to have far more content/depth and should be pleasing. Also people should be happy that companies aren't willing to cheapen their art and hard work, hopefully they'll inspire other companies to charge more. This industry can't survive on 99p downloads. Also, people calling it a runner. This isn't an endless runner, this isn't canabalt, or jungle run or whatever. This is a platformer, with levels, and objectives. We shouldn't categorise them all the same.

Nintendo better compensate Wii U owners on these ports. Mario Kart may have additional tracks, characters and a new battle mode (so says Rogers), but most of the content we paid for (inc. DLC pack) so new gamers who didn't support Nintendo with Wii U are getting an even better deal... I'm sure smash will be the same. And Mario Maker. Dont' screw us becausde we were the ones who bought them all on wii u.

@Rummy I'd get Zelda in 2, 5, 10, 20 years probably. But ultimately, other than maybe being annoyed because I'm impatient about thing, games getting delayed, my line is how good is that game when it comes out. That's it. By that point I don't care about the delay. Nintendo need to think about a Majoras Mask style sequel to it using the engine though. Surely!!

And who's praising nintendo? People just seem to be accepting it because, you know, it's not a big deal... Ads for where do we draw the line, I mean, other than maybe being annoyed because I'm eager, there is no line for me. It's ready when it's ready. Actually, I think the line for me is when it is arbitrary. Like Rhythm Heaven's delay in europe and Picross 2. IO understand when big games get moved to fill release gaps (Didn't tropical freeze get moved for this reason) but Rhythm Heaven and Picross 2 are very small games that aren't going to do much.

What's funny though @Retro_Link is the people who seem to be annoyed are people who own other consoles... This reminds me of the USB charging fiasco, just nothing to get annoyed about. In some ways you could take a positive look at it and surely this means Mario will be at launch. One was always launch and one for xmas. Whatever way around it's great. Though personally I'd prefer Zelda first and magical mario for xmas, but whatever!

I don't understand what you don't get about it...?! As for N64, I'm sure it went down to £150 didn't it? Gamecube came out at £130. Which is insane. This at £200 would be fantastic, still can't see it.

Yeah i think if I had a huge 4k tv (just waiting to move house to upgrade) and with PSVR I'd definitely do it; completely makes sense, I just wonder how Microsoft's much bigger jump (it is a bigger jump in power isn't it) will go, can developers make Scorpio exclusive games? It's all quite new for home consoles, so interesting to see how the approaches will go.

@Shorty definitely not, exactly what I needed to give a bit of spark to gaming; even the simplest of games is fun to play. It's still a bit tech demo-y, and probably very expensive all things considered, but if money isn't a big factor then it's an exciting medium. Ands it's worth it for thumper Cheers @somme, the game appeals to me, but not sure of content yet so I'll wait and hope it comes down in price.

Been reading a lot about this, particularly about PSVR and it seems pretty mild as an upgrade so that's good news for me. Makes me think it's even more of a bizarre decision, but I guess for new console owners it's attractive. I wonder how long they'll hold back developers by forcing PS4 usage for; feels like the machine won't be unleashed until it's allowed to have its own software.

I'm tempted to get a USB charge pack, that'll work for powering it won't it? Them a long HDMI cable. Sort of ridiculous we have to be doing this stupid solutions though.

Oh I know, just feels like a poor way of extending it to me, I'm not going to touch it, I'll focus on the main game high scores.

Hmm, not a big fan of stuff like this, a highscore game mode, but it repeats the levels with a mild change... I'd rather play the proper game and improve my scores.

Yet another bizarre discussion I had a spectrum, I had three spectrum, 48k Plus 2 and plus 3 with the tap deck, I loved the spectrum. I also had a nes and a master system. I can honestly say in my experience at school and such, the NES was easily the most popular out of eveytrthing.; moving into Amigo and SNES years they seemed very popular. To say it's when Nintendo weren't as popular, even if you're just taking the UK, I mean surely you can't say they're more popular now than they were in the NES?! And the SNES seemed even more popular than that. Does anyone have any stats on how much each nintendo sold in the UK? Quite interesting.

2 and 4 are ridiculous. And why haven't they lumped the GTAs together? Slightly bizarre. Interesting though.
