The video editing community are up in arms about Final Cut Pro X, calling it iMove HD, and as dumbed down and stripped of any useful features as Quicktime X is.

Gone back to Snow Leopard. It's sad how many articles are online about how to turn off all the new things in Lion to get it running as before. Lion is awful IMO, at least for my workflow, and the features are either pointless or a hindrance. Nintendohnut, BetterTouchTool sadly can't fix the lack of pinch to zoom in Finder, tried. Lots of people on twitter seem pissed that feature is gone from Lion.

That wouldn't be an appropriate topic of discussion for the phrase. 'How long is a piece of string' is used as a reply to FAR more generic, vague and basically stupid, questions, like 'How many pages should a novel have' or 'how big is a building' It's said with a smirk, because the person asked a dumb question. WTF. What sort of total losers use the word in that sense?! I've never heard such a thing, thankfully.

That's a new one to me, never heard it like that before. Weird And banter isn't just about teasing remarks, it's more general conversation between mates, say on a night out. You either have good banter, or shit banter (also known as chat)

I hope they don't overuse the standard Zelda 'secret' jingle. In Wind Waker (and probably TP) it was played for EVERYTHING you did. Less is more IMO

I think that's the best of both worlds. Synthesised music would work well in certain situations. Orchestrated throughout would have been too much IMO

This game looks and sounds absolutely fantastic! Really like what we've been hearing about Nintendo mixing things up with this game and going for different approaches throughout the game. The colour pallette is gorgeous and I love how the treasure chest appears near the end, definitely reminds me of Wind Waker. And the swordplay mechanics seem like a homage to Zelda II. My only slight nitpick, something I HATE is the 'Times New Roman' font used for speech bubbles. Looks terrible IMO (from a designer POV)

It was fairly obvious Cube was joking. Pinch to zoom has disappeared in Finder. I'm actually really pissed off about that, especially since it doesn't seem to conflict with any other gesture. There better be a fix soon.

Skyloft looks great, hopefully it'll be as busy and full of stuff to do like Windfall or Clock Town

Apparently disarming Draco with a regular wand is enough, he doesn't have to be holding the Elder Wand. It was explained in the books apparently (not read them) but wasn't in the film.

Excellent film, and the 3D didn't bother me at all for once, it was quite seamless and unobtrusive. I've not read the books but having read up on how the final confrontation happens in the book, I'm very glad the film adapted it for the big screen and upped the scale. Half Blood Prince was mind-numbingly awful and boring, with no real plot and pacing issues all over the place, and DH Part 1 wasn't really a film in its own right, so it's a good thing the pay off with Part 2 made up for both.

Not a fan of NSMB series either. Souless is a very apt description.

I've not seen the first two seasons so jumped in at Children of Earth which I loved. Thought tonight's episode was ok. It's clear that with 10 episodes instead of 5 to tell the story it'll have to be done at a slower pace. Reckon Ianto is missed big time and I sort of wish it was still UK based.

Link spinning around looks bizarre yeah. I assumed they did it so that he's looking around the room at something about to happen, and just made it look terrible. But you're right, they must have gotten it wrong and he was just supposed to focus on the door like in the original.
