Just watched the trailer on the Wii U eshop, it does look fantastic fun to be fair. Just disappointing it wasn't a grander Mario adventure game. I also like the tilt-shift like effect they use, well, I suppose it's just making the background blurry, but it looks nice. I'm sure we'll get a Mario Universe type game next, they can't shoot their lot in the first year of release.

I'm hoping this is just a quick half arsed 3D Mario to satisfy us until a Galaxy-type game can be made in the next year or two. In the same way that Wind Waker HD was made to give them time to make a proper Wii U Zelda. I think the so called 'level editor' was just revealing a hidden block with the cursor, I wouldn't get too excited.

Does look incredible, puts 3D World to shame, just as Rayman put Mario U to shame.

This made Mario Kart look incredible. It seems like a stop gap game similar to Wind Waker HD until a proper Galaxy type adventure can be brought out. So sick of that flag pole.

Agree, from the renders I really thought they'd ruined it. The bloom is still a little strong, but the charm is still there and it looks stunning. Will look amazing in 1080p and the 'message in a bottle' feature is very clever

Surprised people are so underwhelmed, the danger of being over-hyped I suppose. Wind Waker - thank f*** they didn't ruin the visuals, looked stunning Mario Kart 8 - awesome Mario 3D World - clever title, bit underwhelmed, expected a Galaxy type 'wow' game Donkey Kong, Wonderful 101 and Smash Bros all looked great.

I'm surprised there's no 3DS Nintendo Direct scheduled though?

I'm quite tempted to sell my 3DS and get an XL (though screen size to resolution worries me a bit). I was wondering though, what are the odds that Nintendo will release new designs at E3? The silver/red/blue ones don't really appeal to me that much, though I suppose blue is ok. A black one would be nice :-) Any likelihood of them releasing more colours soon? (I'm assuming a 3DS XL i is a while off)

Have you played Starfox 2? You can download the ROM online if you search for it. Very tough from what I remember, though quite different.

They really need to make a second Ice Climber game!!! Be perfect for the 3DS.

I remember buying them in the shops when first released, not played them since, been desperate all these years!! If I remember correctly Ages is more action based and Seasons is more puzzle based?

You used the two analog sticks in the Gamecube version so presumably it'll be the same here on the Gamepad.
