  1. Has anyone had their 3DS charger simply stop working out of the blue? It happened a few months ago, so I plugged in older one in and that worked fine. Now that one has stopped working, so I tried the first one and that did the trick?! Anyone experienced this weird issue before?
  2. Didn't the latest Iwata Asks mention that the more basic visual style was necessary to work in 60fps? Especially with the transition to the 3D perspective.
  3. Just press the home button and post to Miiverse, the screen cap will be there ready for posting. I should probably get into the habit of uploading images as they'd be higher res but oh well. The right analog stick for camera control is literally my favourite part of the game lol, so incredible to be given such freedom. Makes for some seriously dramatic camera angles.
  4. Those Misadventures of Link videos are sadly awful
  5. I think Ashley put far too much time and effort into discussing whether the game was really 2D or really 3D. As if the fact that it wasn't a 'true 3D' game, whatever that is, was a huge black mark. IMO, why care about such pointless distinctions, just take the game for what it is.
  6. Wow amazing reviews! Well apart from Ashley's predictably joyless one. I especially love that quote from EDGE.
  7. It'd just make ALBW feel even more familiar than it already does. The vague recollection of ALTTP's world is probably best.
  8. Go for it, that shiny gold box is calling out to be purchased! So tell me, how's the soundtrack for this? Mostly remixed old tunes or are there some decent new ones? Did you have trouble getting used to the controls? Playing the demo at Eurogamer I found myself constantly pressing the wrong buttons for the various items. Just me? I suppose you get used to it.
  9. The PS4 screenshots are impressive of course, but so uninteresting. No character, just the same gritty graphics we've seen a million times. It's all about art style IMO and that's where Nintendo is best.
  10. Wow 9.8 from Gametrailers is fantastic! And Gamespot gave it a 9!
  11. But but... the file size is so smaaaallllll :shakehead
  12. Nintendo get a fair amount of abuse but they're certainly releasing some outstanding work this past year or two, on Wii U and 3DS. Long may it continue.
  13. Thanks for taking the time to explain all that, it does seem a very old school in the way it does things. Kind of a bummer there isn't any item discovery in the dungeons. That was always the exciting bit for me.
  14. Is the sense of discovery in the dungeons diminished because you already have the necessary item? Are there only cutscenes at the beginning, middle and end? Are they any good?
  15. Good review, thanks for that. Other scores tend to be about 9 or 10 with a couple of low marks. Shame about the sacrifice with the story, but not much they could do about that with the non-linear progression. Is the ending suitably epic ? (ie on a par with Spirit Tracks?) Did the overworlds feel small to you? That's one fear I have, it all looks a little claustrophobic.
  16. It's a Direct about already announced 3DS games.
  17. Works both ways. Looks to me more like they added 2D elements to its successful 3D franchise.
  18. So when will reviews of this be showing up?
  19. I'm staying well clear of A Link to the Past, I'd like the overworld in ALBW to have as much novelty as possible and not be somewhat spoiled by a fresh playthrough of the SNES game.
  20. Didn't we just have a Wii U focused Direct a whole one month ago?
  21. Anyone (who can say something) know if the epic trailer music is in the game itself? I know the E3 one is.
