  2. Chibi-Robo amiibo is on Amazon for £13 http://www.amazon.co.uk/amiibo-Chibi-Robo-Nintendo-Wii-3DS/dp/B014HFDS52/ref=pd_rhf_gw_s_cp_7?ie=UTF8&refRID=1T3TDC6XCCD4C7WYR44B
  3. Surely better level design would be to either have said koopa troopa wandering around nearby, or better yet, make the pain of an enemy challenging but beatable without taking a hit.
  4. Blind jumps are fine if they're coin-posted. Blocks with enemies in them 99% of the time is annoying. We get it, you can put bad guys in blocks, no need to fill your level with them.
  5. Broken Age is fantastic, a must play.
  6. Injecting a Platinum feel to the game would be good. The game is in desperate need of some (original) personality.
  7. They haven't said it's Wii U only, they've said it's coming out on Wii U.
  8. More platforming goodness (I hope)... You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse
  9. In hindsight, the Game Awards footage looked seriously rough and that was probably why they didn't show a direct video feed. I imagine the scope and development time required to make a modern openworld game caught them a little off guard. I wouldn't be surprised if the next time we see the game it will look and feel very different, which may explain why they didn't show it at E3, it's gone in a new-ish direction.
  10. I'd just personally rather they put out an adventure game, not a co-op dungeon crawler.
  11. It does look quite good. (as much as a multiplayer Zelda can)
  12. Star coins would be fantastic ! Would make people think about level design and secrets. Even if 90% of the courses on there are rubbish.
  13. I'm in love with the Duck Hunt Duo one. Who would have thought a couple of years ago we'd get a nice little figurine of those two from the original NES game!

  17. Good point. Or this one... Still, their covers are so stunning 99% of the time, it's pretty jarring to see an ugly one.
  18. A bad game can be patched into something a little less bad. The core game will remain, unless you're patching the entire concept and gameplay, which doesn't really happen. Yes you could rewrite the whole thing but that happens so rarely that it doesn't really apply, and certainly not enough to justify calling Miyamoto's quote out of date. I'm not so sure about your last paragraph either, but I'll bow to your superior knowledge on that one. I'm just surprised in 20 years Playstation doesn't have much of an identity, character wise at least, apart from the brand name itself.
  19. That's the worst cover art Nintendo has ever made. I'm going to assume it's temporary.
  20. I still disagree. There's only so much fixing patches and DLC can do. Rushing dodgy core gameplay out is something that can't be fixed. Let's say Starfox Zero was released this year: terrible visuals, poor cutscenes, uninspired boss battles. None of those would be fixed down the line. The quote still applies. Being able to update a game with DLC won't suddenly make a bad game good. So irrelevant they've sold 15 million action figures in nine months based on their world renowned IP. I was thinking the other day that it was strange that Sony, with the 20 year old Playstation brand, barely has a recognisable character of their own. Crash? Drake? You might get a few people off the street to recognise the former.
  21. Yeah really nice idea, although it's strange it only has two face buttons.
  22. I actually quite enjoyed the on-foot parts of Assault. They also helped pad the game out or else you'd be able to finish the campaign in an hour.
  23. You take that back! Assault was fantastic.
