I've played about six or seven days in a row and have always gotten at least one free go every day, either from the ones they give out with new sets or from the practise catcher. You really don't need to spend any money on this unless you're desperate. It's the usual Nintendo way of doing free to play, half-heartedly and with an apology.

I'd rather they release two dodgy filler titles and start their new console strongly than put more resources on a dead machine. Zelda U will be amazing, Twilight Princess will be a good port and I'm sure Xenoblade and Star Fox will be great fun. Otherwise it's all NX...

NX can't come out fast enough, let's hope they're working on some proper big hitters to make up for these two filler titles (and Tri Force Heroes)

Correction, Amiibo Festival isn't the worst rated first party Nintendo game on IGN, this now is. 4.8/10

Would people recommend playing Tomb Raider before Uncharted Collection, or vice versa? Or mix and match? Also, Guacamelee is amazing. One of my favourite games ever.

Started playing this recently and loving it just as much as the Vita original. The new area based on Scotland was really nice, as was the new areas in the barn. I'm hoping there's more new content to come. It's just a shame Sony sent it to die, again. It would have done so much better with Nintendo.

Have you spent any money on it already? I always ask myself how much I would have spent on a free to play game had it not been free. For this game I'd value it at a few quid so will probably end up spending that much (and no more)

Ha, don't worry, never in a million years will NX be less powerful than Wii U. They would get absolutely slaughtered if they did that. It would make zero sense. Anyway the Wii U is the thing that needs replacing, HD development for a dead console is a waste of time, whereas 3DS games can still truck along and do well with a 50+ million install base.

Gamexplain analysis vids always get me even more hyped for the big releases. They highlight just how much detail and polish Nintendo put into all their games.

Just got a real badge in the practise round and the bunny gave me 3 free plays, which let me clear a Splatoon set. Not spent a penny, this game is more than fair IMO, strikes the perfect balance.

I kind of wish they'd have released this game early in the 3DS lifespan, not at the very end.

I don't care if the three forms in Wind Waker are actually Ganon's physical form or not, because really, what sane person cares. I just feel when discussing final bosses, those three forms are just as valid to include as Zelda and beast Ganon are in TP.

You literally watch Ganondorf transform into puppet Ganon and then his next two forms. It's the same guy. It's hardly the most important of issues, I just think in terms of final battles they should come as a package, but I guess that's just me.

So what forms does Twilight Princess have then? If you don't count puppet, spider and snake Ganon as part of the same thing then you can't count possessed Zelda and beast Ganon from TP.

Surely you jest, Wind Waker had some great forms of Ganon! Puppet, Spider and Snake Ganon are some of my favourites in the whole series. Very epic but not much meaning behind it all IMO. Not a battle that will stick with me in years to come, unlike the ones from the other four 3D games.

That was definitely cello-taped on at the last second for sure but at least Fox had encountered the final twist baddie many times so it was at least dramatic from the POV. Unlike Ganon in Twilight Princess, where the pair of them had never met.

Yeah the Wind Waker final boss is my favourite of the whole series, just brilliant. An issue I have with Twilight Princess is that you never actually see or speak to Ganondorf until the very end, when you're about to fight him, so the drama is far less than in say OOT, MM or WW where you build a relationship as the game goes on. Skyward Sword managed it well with Ghirahim, but the final, final fight lacks any kind of meaningful drama for the same reason. It makes me wonder whether Ganon was thrown into the game at the last minute, certainly seems that way.

I'm happy, cleared the Splatoon board with my one free go. Also good how the previous Animal Crossing set stick around so you're not quite so pressured. Mario Kart SNES will bankrupt me though.

That hit A to win final battle with Ganon pre-empted all the "cinematic" quicktime event games we have now.

Nice new box-art These screens look much better than the stream thankfully... The quality of amiibo just keeps going up! The Wolf Link one looks amazing. And will probably be compatible with a dozen games.
