  1. I remember thinking months ago that by the time I was due to upgrade, the iPhone 5 would have already been our for a few months
  2. Hah, never. Arshavin couldn't push an anorexic off the ball, let alone a guy like Kelly, I think a bit of play acting involved there.
  3. Arsenal has more shots on goal. Clear opportunity? van Persie had the best chance of the match. Liverpool didn't offer anything apart from one header from Carroll in the first half. I'm not for a second saying Arsenal deserved to win but neither did Liverpool, they never looked like scoring until the sending off.
  4. Typical, considering the team we fielded, we were pretty comfortable, neither side doing anything extraordinary. Sending off changed the game and then a goal you can't legislate for. Scoreline absolutely flattered Liverpool and i'll leave it at that. Another injury to a defender is the icing on the cake.
  5. There's never a good time to buy an Apple product in the sense that it will always be replaced usually within a year (iPhone 4 withstanding). Annoyingly, i'm ready to upgrade my phone and they still haven't announced the iPhone 5 yet.
  6. Pretty much the same here. The Adidas store has a decent selection of Star Wars inspired clothing, had to add in a couple of T-Shirts whilst I was there
  7. Yes.
  8. I thing we'd need to spend three figures to blow our kitty. We need more, but Hazard would certainly be a start.
  9. You can Wenger is starting to get a bit ticked off by it all. He was on Sky Sports News earlier saying he'd pay £30 or £40 million for the right player. There's been a lot of speculation that we're going to bid for Eden Hazard of Lille. If that were to happen, i'm pretty sure all the pressure would lift immediately, he's a prime example of an Arsenal player.
  10. I play in a Goals league on Sunday night Murr and we've got a do or die match. We need to win and hope other results go our way or it's relegation
  11. One occasion, you'd be hard pressed to find a game where that doesn't happen, that isn't bad defending. There was a lot of things wrong tonight, the defending wasn't one of them.
  12. I'd disagree with that. We were poor in midfield and couldn't retain possession but they never really looked like scoring. Hit the bar from a free kick, but that can't be blamed on the defence. Anytime they threatened, they were snuffed out. That being said, Chamakh was useless, didn't look at all interested. If it were down to me, i'd bin him and keep hold of Nicky B. Theo was good and Gervinho made some decent runs but he's got to stop holding onto the ball for so long. Thankfully RVP is back for the second leg and hopefully Wilshere too, will be interesting to see if Nasri plays.
  13. Thomas Varmaelen is vice captain, will be wearing the armband tonight. It's always sad to loose a fan favourite like Eboue but I went off him big time after his cock up against Liverpool, the season might have panned out differently had he not done that. It's slightly worrying that that's another first team player left but I suppose Jenkinson was brought in for his position.

Yep, sad news indeed. People probably don't realise how tough it is, especially when you think Boxers fight maybe 4 times a year, these guys can be doing that in a week.
  15. City did look good but we'll see how they cope against the big boys. I'm still not sure they've got the team spirit for an away trip to Stamford Bridge, Emirates or Old Trafford on a cold winter's day but on raw potential they've got the best squad in the league.
  16. It came down to unsettling him. In the end they battered the club into submission. Yeah you could say he was still under contract but once Fabregas had his head turned he was never going to be the same player he was. I'm a bit gutted because he was my hero in an Arsenal shirt. It's been on the cards for ages but I don't think it's sunk in until now, I still remember his first game against Rotherham like it was yesterday. You can tell as well that Wenger cares a lot about him and wouldn't keep him in the team just to spite Barca, it was inevitable. I don't blame him at all for wanting to go home, it's just a bit shitty the way it all played out with the club being bullied. I think that's the beginning of the end now. The whole team has been modelled around him and I can see van Persie leaving too if suitable replacements aren't made. I'm kinda dreading tomorrow now and what might happen if we don't get a favourable result.
  17. 5 stone down now, Nice feeling to see the 10 stone range on the scales.
  18. There was talk of Eriksson from Ajax, with Dennis B being the number 2 there now, apparently he's been having a quiet word in his ear
  19. I'd just be glad to see us sign someone with a bit of pedigree that costs a decent sum.
  20. Aye, still a tidy return on what we payed for him though Looks like we're lining up Jadson from Shakhtar with some of the money. I've only seen him play a few times but he's impressed me with what i've seen.
  21. One thing I have to say about the whole Fabregas saga is the amount of respect i've lost for some of the Barcelona players. As if the constant crowing wasn't enough, you've now got senior players congratulating him on the move and celebrating it, when nothing has been announced. Classless.
  22. To be fair Walcott has produced ever since he joined, he's just been annoyingly constant at picking up injuries. If we take a look back, how many big players have Arsenal every signed? It's not the way the club has operated for the past 15 years. They'll pay decent money for a player but they've never been a club to sign the world's best for inflated prices. It's always been bringing them in young or getting players perhaps well less known. In respect to Vermaelen, the others may have matched his defensive abilities but i'd be surprised if any matched his goal tally. Obviously not a defining factor for a centre back, but always welcome anyway.
  23. Although another defender wouldn't hurt, even if we get one in, he's not going to be first choice anyway. I'm completely happy with both Vermaelen and Koscielny as first choice and Djourou as first reserve. People forget that Vermaelen was the best defender in in the premier by a mile in his first season, so getting him back is almost like have a new signing. Obviously if injuries pile up then we're fucked as Squillaci is shit and can't expect too much from Miquel. People can say what they want about Wenger, but he's no muppet, he knows the current team isn't going to compete in every competition. Obviously as a fan it's frustrating not to see the big names coming in but the window is still open for 2 and bit weeks. We've no need for a Valencia like player, we've got Gervinho and Walcott and now Chamberlain, who are all similar styled players. If the team doesn't change at all come 1st of September then by all means, riot at the Emirates
  24. I do, although I'm gonna be looking for more than what I originally said as the new recycle and re-use program that Apple has launched is offering me a good bit more than what I had originally thought. PM me if you're interested or just curious.
  25. According to BBC news just now, the jails in London are full to the gunnels and people are being transferred out of the city. Hopefully last night was the worst of it but then again it might not be.
