  1. Pfft, who cares about how the inferior regions work. Everyone knows Fridays are the best for video game releases, just in time for spending the entire weekend enjoying the games.
  2. Mario Day is even on a Friday in 2017, so it works perfectly! I definitely hope you're correct.
  3. Oh yeah, I understand why some people don't, but I personally love the "Joy-Con" name. Just saying it brings a smile to my face.
  4. Pretty sure we don't know yet, but I'm definitely hoping for a touch screen... I need that to draw on Miiverse! ...But either way, I'm definitely sold. Day one as usual!!
  5. But... Greninja doesn't have a type advantage over Mega Charizard X at all. Water ain't super effective against Fire/Dragon types. In fact, the Charizard was the one with the advantage considering its super effective Thunder Punch attack.
  6. Hey, Cut and Aerial Ace are some of the most badass moves ever in the anime, as they should be given the sword techniques they were inspired by. The only problem there is that those moves are fairly lackluster in the games (especially Cut, lol)... And Water Shuriken is obviously a must, being Greninja's signature move as well as letting Ash-Greninja use the insanely powerful giant shurikens. I'll agree that Double Team hasn't seemed very useful, but I'm sure the split second of distraction it provides has been crucial in some battles. And it can look pretty cool, I guess. I can't really imagine any better moveset for a Greninja in the anime. It clearly has the Battle Bond ability though.
  7. Well, it's been two and a half weeks since I reached the final boss, but I only just now completed the game... What an amazing finale! You must have JavaScript enabled on your device to view Miiverse posts that have been embedded in a website. View post in Miiverse
  8. I guess that pretty much confirms Empoleon as the next character... Hopefully that last empty spot is being saved for (Ash-)Greninja.
  9. Type: Null's evolution is really interesting. I wonder how it will fit into the plot - Gladion can be seen on the scan using a device that I assume is (related to?) this "Memory" thing, so I guess it evolves under his command. ...Which makes the fact that it evolves even more puzzling, as it seems like a very unique Pokémon that already has a Trainer. I wonder how the player will be able to get one... Actually, maybe they've been mass produced? An army of chimera monsters designed to rival mythical (Legendary?) Pokémon... Sounds pretty terrifying.
  10. Well, that's true, it's probably the most niche game in the entire Wii U library. Which makes it all the more important to recommend, of course.
  11. Five posts recommending games and still no mention of the best game of all time? Let's fix that:
  12. Eh, they just focused on the best stages of each of the starter lines. The balance among the Kalos starters has been much better than the Kanto starters where nobody cares about the grass or water lines at all. Greninja was obviously always going to get most of the spotlight, but Braixen is very popular as Serena's star Pokémon and earned a spot on the Pokkén roster because of it, and Chespie is the most dependable Pokémon in Kalos and one of the most important Pokémon in XYZ. And also the very best Pokémon in the series. ... *looks at avatar* ...I might be slightly biased on that last part.
  13. Starter evolutions are all cool, but right now it's all about DAT ASH-GRENINJA HYPE!! And I won't have to wait months to play the demo this time! It's also called Ash-Greninja in Pokémon Shuffle, Pokémon Picross, Pokémon Tretta and all of the merchandise. There was never a chance they'd give it another name.
  14. Well, I wasn't saying that any of the other teams would actually ever possibly succeed, but there was definitely no way Ghetsis wouldn't be stopped once people understood what he was actually planning. And again, I think Cyrus's plan was much better because there was nothing in the world that could stop him. And especially if he had pulled it off - then there would literally be no chance for anyone to stand up against him anymore and restore the world to how it had been. (It would probably take interference by Arceus at that point, if even that would have worked.) Ghetsis was definitely more evil, though, I won't disagree there. Cyrus was just completely deranged.
  15. Really? I always thought that both of Ghetsis's plans were doomed for failure right from the start. Especially his plan in B/W, there's no way everybody would go along with it, even if he did manage to defeat the protagonist. They were definitely more likely to succeed than Archie and Maxie's plans, though, but that's not really too difficult. (At least OR/AS explained how they could be stupid enough to believe Groudon and Kyogre could be controlled so easily - Zinnia infiltrated their teams to guide them towards waking up the legendaries, so she made sure to trick them into thinking they would succeed.) Personally I think Cyrus in Platinum probably had the "best" plan. I mean, his was also always going to fail, but at least it failed for reasons that nobody could possibly have foreseen. His plan, insane as it was, would definitely have succeeded had it not been for Giratina's interference. EDIT: Plus, although his plans are stopped, he actually gets away and remains a potential threat, complete with a terrifying final line: "This, I promise you. I will break the secrets of the world. With that knowledge, I will create my own complete and perfect world. One day, you will awaken to a world of my creation. A world without spirit." Galactic is probably my favourite, for those reasons as well as it being the only team where I liked all of the notable characters. And they were the only ones who were awesome both in the games as well as the anime.
  16. So the day has finally come... Thanks to the wonders of LEGO Dimensions Wave 6 (and its huuuge content downloads), I'm almost out of space on my Wii U! I'll have to get a USB storage device before Wave 7 is released (thankfully I have about a month and a half, so no real rush), and considering I'm pretty much clueless about what's good or not, I figured I should ask if anyone here has recommendations. I'm sure I don't need anything too big or expensive considering how long it took me to fill out the 32GB...
  17. Another new trailer, too. I'm really looking forward to this game. Hopefully I can finish my first playthrough of TMS♯FE in time for the release so I can focus on Color Splash right away.
  18. Each of the characters except Itsuki gets a Radiant Skill called Open Audition, which will let them participate in Session combos even if they're not in the active party. The required Stage Rank varies depending on the character, but Tsubasa and Touma can get it at rank 8, and Kiria at rank 9. Other than that, Sessions are automatically decided based on what will create the longest chain and/or do the most damage. And they will try to avoid any Sessions that could get interrupted by an opponent with Drain/Repel/Null. And active party members can only join in a Session before the sub cast, though I don't think you need to worry much about that early on. Also, you'll know when you unlock Duo Arts. You'll always get a tutorial message when you unlock the first one, and they're usually acquired at the end of side stories or other special scenes. I think your first chance to get one is in the Intermission after Chapter 2 (though that one is a right pain to unlock that early on unless you plan on grinding a lot). Hope that answers your questions.
  19. I just reached what I assume is the point of no return... ...which means it's time to turn back! I still have so much left to do before I can finish this - several Class Changes - and therefore also Carnage Unities - to perform, I haven't even touched the Arena yet, and I'm still missing 74 Play Records (though I know a number of them won't be available until new game+). Maybe I'll be ready for the final boss in a week or so.
  20. Barry is one of my favourite characters, tbh (after Tiki and Mamori, of course), but I can definitely see how he can be quite a bit... over the top for most people.
  21. Yeah, getting an insanely and excessively long combo is always such a blast. I got up to a 25 combo once by triggering three Duo Arts in a row!
  22. You should have gotten a Performa for a new Radiant Skill, right? You have to
  23. Well, would you look at that!
  24. I just finished Chapter 5 this weekend, so I'm sure I can help. Which part are you stuck on, exactly?
