So the second Voting Gauntlet has started... and boy, picking a team was way more difficult than last time. I guess Camilla's gonna beat everybody easily through the power of boobs, but meh, I'm not a big fan. I ended up picking Team Cordelia - my friend had already picked her, and my 5-Star Cordelia has been helping me from day 1 in Heroes. Guess I'll have to pick again for the final round. (she's also the only unit from the gauntlet that I have aside from the free Subaki, but I don't really care too much about that - I don't invest enough time in the game to rank very high anyways, haha)

The bunnies are tempting (especially Chrom and Lucina)... but I'm steeling myself and waiting for ♯FE characters again! ...Well, there is of course one more character that'll definitely make me spend some orbs - I need to get a Lugh when they add him, to complete the family! (maybe I'll save up feathers for a 5-Star Raigh once Nino's been upgraded... cause that definitely sounds like a worthwhile investment... )

I remember seeing this post months ago and dreading the day I would reach that stage... ...And now I can confirm it definitely feels even more terrifying and infuriating than Champion's Road. I'm probably over 100 attempts into the ordeal, and I've never even seen the 5th Black Coin yet... I'll get through it one day, though! Not giving up when I'm this close!! (...I just need to remember to take breaks whenever I feel like destroying my phone...)
-
Well, thank god for that. I guess even WB can't be that crazy. (What an insanely terrible packaging misprint though... How does that even happen???)
-
I'm know I'm weak. No need to rub it in lol. LEGO City Undercover ended up being my GOTY of 2013, and I've been wanting to replay it, too. This situation obviously sucks, but I'm not gonna let it stop me from buying and enjoying a game I know I'll love. Hopefully this doesn't become a common practice for third parties.
-
I wish Warner Bros. would stop being the worst. I know I shouldn't have expected much after how they treated Wii U players, but man... hurts especially much cause I absolutely love all the LEGO games. (I'll still be buying it of course...)
-
I'm pretty sure I transcended to a higher plane of existence after a perfect black coin run on 3-3. That's what it feels like, at least.
-
Congrats! (And pfft, that was clearly no coincidence.) I've run into a small problem while training my Jaffar and Nino, though - Jaffar slaughters everything and leaves next to no exp for anyone else! Like, I know you want to protect Nino, but at least give her the chance to grow a bit stronger too! -edit-

Anyone else still obsessed with this game? Well, okay, I'm not obsessed, but I'm definitely playing it more than I thought I would. Picking Team Lucina from the very start in the Voting Gauntlet (Smash Bros. main + Laura Bailey won over the other options lol) gave me enough feathers to get Narcian that fifth star he was craving. And he'll be level 40 again soon, thanks to the new 1.5x exp event. ...Now, I know I said I'd be saving up all my orbs for the day they add ♯FE characters, but after just barely scraping by on the easiest difficulty of the last Grand Hero Battle because I didn't have any strong ranged units (and I didn't want to throw feathers at characters I don't like lol), I was considering spending some of my orbs to get some decent ranged options... ...And then came Blazing Shadows. Clearly IntSys knows exactly how to keep me interested, cause after weeks of disgusting "sibling bonds", they proceed to hit me with the one thing that would convince me beyond a shadow of a doubt to throw orbs at them: Paralogue 3-3 Immediately, my "okay maybe I'll spend some orbs" got replaced by "I'LL SPEND ALL MY ORBS AND EVEN BUY MORE IF I HAVE TO JUST GIVE ME MY OTP!!!!" Thankfully, I was extremely lucky - my very first summon was a beautiful 4-Star Nino, and it only took me a total of 71 orbs to get her beloved Jaffar. Together forever and ever. (also got Priscilla and some decent colorless 4-Stars, but who cares about them lol) I'm glad I didn't have to actually spend any money to get them, but man... it's kinda scary how quickly I lost control there, haha... At least it's unlikely to happen again before they add ♯FE characters...
-
They should add ♯FE characters first. or at least give us some trophies pls
-
More importantly, they finally fixed the missing name for the Nacht Carnival area. That's been bugging me for sooooo long...
-
This had me laughing out loud. Well done. The $90 price does include an HDMI cable and AC adapter, though, right? (Not that it isn't still very overpriced...)

Oh, right, I discovered another annoyance yesterday... Seems like the joy-cons won't get charged if the Switch is turned off (even though the console itself can be charged no problem). Guess I'll have to pay up for that charging grip after all... Yeah, that doesn't work for me, I'm afraid. I love Miiverse for the community, engaging with random strangers enjoying the same games as me, and course the beautiful and impressive artwork. A twitter account won't give me any of that. (...also it doesn't help that I absolutely hate twitter lol)
-
100% agreed. Two days later it's really affecting my enjoyment of the console even more than I was afraid it would. Just turning it on feels like a chore because it immediately kills my mood before I get into a game. I've had a lot of fun with Breath of the Wild already, but even that is being hampered, by the lack of Miiverse in particular. More often than not I find myself wishing I was playing the Wii U version instead so I could post about my exciting discoveries and silly moments. I don't regret buying it at all, but I've actually played more on both my 3DS and Wii U than the Switch over the last few days... and this is the launch weekend! Feels kinda bad, man.
-
As I said in my last post, the only way I found was to turn it off at the exact same time as I docked it. Hopefully we're both just missing something though.
-
Sooo, figured I'd drop my impressions after around 5-6 hours of using my Switch. + Being able to change poses and facial expressions on my Mii icon. + Amelia is great! + Engage dock system! + The Switch gimmick in general works perfectly. - ......Where's the sound? Where's the music? No soothing sounds to accompany me on the HOME Menu? No music in the eShop to brighten up my shopping experience?! Not even any music in the Mii Maker?!? - Speaking of the eShop, it's pretty awful. Such a pain to use compared to the Wii U eShop. - Album feature is useless to me. - HOME Menu customization is extremely lacking. - No internet browser. - No Miiverse. - Minor complaint, but the News feed gets flooded the moment you connect to your Nintendo Account. I wish there was a way to remove specific ads you don't care about at least, but it seems to be either all or nothing... I'm tempted to go back to nothing. - ...I might have missed something cause I've been running on very limited amounts of sleep recently, but... is there really no easy way to turn off the console while leaving it charging in the dock? Placing it in the dock when it's off turns it on??? The only workaround I could find was turning it off at the exact second I placed it in the dock, which did seem to work, but... that's rather tedious. And there's also no way to turn it off with just the controllers...? Well, basically... the Switch feels like nearly the exact opposite of the Wii U to me... and not at all in a good way. With the Wii U, I was very sceptical until the moment I held it in my hands and the Nintendo magic enveloped me. With the Switch, I was very excited until the moment I turned it on and found it to lack nearly everything I've loved about recent Nintendo systems. There's no Miiverse to keep me entertained for hours on end, no internet browser filled with Nintendo charm, no... well, outside of Amelia's messages, there's just... no fun. At all. I guess that's what the games are for, though...

I finally got Tiki to level 40! That special conversation afterwards... she really is the best... Narcian also got to level 40 in the next fight - and just in time for the Arena bonus hero change - but he didn't have a conversation for me, probably because he's just 4-Star (still working on saving up those feathers)... Marth and Cordelia are a bit behind, but they'll probably reach 40 fairly soon, too. Now if only they could bring on some more Heroes I want to roll for... I have so many orbs saved up... EDIT: There we go, they're all level 40 now~
-
Well, I'm glad they referenced it directly, but I did mean what I said about him being pretty lame. It's been quite a while since I played The Sacred Stones (one of the few Fire Emblem games I've played, actually... thanks for giving it to me for free, Nintendo~), but I don't remember him ever being so... weirdly aggressive about it there? Doesn't really suit him, imo. Though apparently he's much more chill about it in the Japanese version, so I guess it could just be a failed attempt at a retcon by the FEH localization team? But whatever the reason I don't really like it. ......Or maybe I just don't like being called a fool...
-
Man, I've gotta say... Ephraim sure is pretty lame in this game. Stop denying the obvious, prince!
-
I finally got the fabulous Lord Narcian! Luckily my tactic of overleveling my team to compensate for its weaknesses worked in the end. (Tiki, Marth and Cordelia are all at level 32 now...) Now to start training him up to the perfect 5-Star Hero he deserves to be...
-
I'm not even strong enough to beat the Lv. 25 Narcian map yet... Have to get some more training done! I definitely won't be able to beat the Lv. 35 before the event ends, but I'll settle for the 2-Star version. Narcian is my favourite (main series) Fire Emblem villain, and my team really needs an Axe, so I'll gladly throw some more feathers at him.
-
So, uh... I may have spent three days rerolling just to get an adorable Tiki...... It was totally worth it, though, cause not only did I get my beautiful 5-Star Tiki - I also got 5-Star Marth and 5-Star Cordelia!! (Now to save all my Orbs and pray that they'll add ♯FE characters in the future...) EDIT: Also, in addition to looking adorable, Tiki even sounds adorable! I love her voice.

Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
FireMeowth replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Oh, right, the PS4 version is physical-only, not digital, but doesn't come with the extras the physical Switch version has. This article is for the US release, but I assume it'll be the same for Europe? https://www.segalization.com/2017/01/13/puyo-puyo-tetris-getting-worldwide-release-nintendo-switch/ -
Nintendo Switch - Happy Switchmas Everyone!
FireMeowth replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Wasn't this the game that is digital-only on the PS4, will have the same price for the digital Switch version, and is getting a more expensive physical version because it comes with some extras? -
I've been wanting to try this game ever since it was announced. Really liked the old TFG, but never had much of a chance to play it cause it was super expensive and most of my friends didn't bother buying any figurines... Just finished downloading. I like the music.
