And then, when its up and its slow and laggy...you'll be here moaning about it?
-
No, none are valid. THEY ARE CLOUDS
-
I cannot believe you're all speculating on clouds...its INSANE
-
The screens look even better in 480p standard...beautiful If Mario has a Bumble Bee suit...BRING BACK TANOOKI SUIT AND FROG SUIT!
-
Sorry to say the stuff from the press-site is rubbish. I think they're screens that have been used on the official site Rubbish
-
Nintendo own PART of the franchise. Its a 1st Party Franchise yes but the game development isnt by Nintendo, its Gamefreak
-
Diamond & Pearl are visually great. The mixture of 2D and 3D is done so expertly and it looks great. Full 3D games on the DS hardly ever look great and are usually fairly small in comparison to the world that is in DP. It'd look horrible. Especially in battle with all 493 Pokemon, each with shiny forms, 455 attacks all needing to be animated and look good...it wouldn't have been pretty thats for sure As I said, a MMO game for Pokemon wont work firstly due to Nintendo's Online Strategy. They are adamant that Friend Codes are the way to go and they promote safe gaming...this is not possible in a MMORPG Plus things like gyms, leagues etc are also not viable on a MMO, plus legendary Pokemon...there only being one of each, it'd be mania. In my expert opinion as head PokéGeek in the world (joke), I just don't see it working
-
Pokemon itself as an MMO wont work...
-
There were console RPGs...they went a different way from the main games and people bitched...its why Nintendo went back to just Stadium style with Battle Revolution A MMORPG is never going to happen. It goes against Nintendo's Online Strategy. MMORPGs cannot work with friend codes Pokemon itself is a handheld franchise. Thats how it works so well, being able to play anywhere and everywhere. A Home Console version just wouldn't fit right. Nintendo knows this and thats why the console games have essentially been side-games and spin-offs
-
Haha...now thats an Assist Trophy. Sky Scrapers popping up and killing everyone Awesome
-
Thats a cool Box Art, but I dont see how you can moan about Box Art and say that you'll download the US one and print it out, thats a bit silly...its not like you're playing the box art
-
Mario Strikers online gets so lagged...I cant see SSBB being online and being playable
-
Thats what I don't get...people say its like Stadium but gimped of features...in my eyes its expanded further Yes it doesnt have 'Earl's Acadamy' from Stadium 2...it does have Tutorials though...doesn't have a Doduo/Dodrio mode...thats because that is impossible due to hardware...the GB games oin Stadium 1/2 were plugged into the Controller...not having the console linked up to the handheld like it does now Mini-games...thats been dealt with. There really isnt anything else other than storage which it lacks. PBR has 10 Colosseum's, with varying tasks at 8 difficulties and then an extra 3 modes in the Colosseums thereafter
-
The lack of mini-games should be at the back of people's heads. Seriously, its good that there are no mini games. The Wii is saturated with them
-
Well it does look like Mario is lifting it...maybe you can whack people with it...that'd be even better :p
-
The single player is more in depth than the Stadiums were, this is essentially what this is, a Stadium game. Stadium had like 4 Stadium options and a gym leader castle. This has 10 Colosseum options with 8 levels of difficulty with a further 3 options unlocked after completion The battles aren't long either, they actually go by quickly Yes its more basic than the DS game...thats because they are handheld RPGs, this is a side-game and its not trying to be otherwise. It's of a different genre to the DS games...its not an RPG
-
Yes, thats it exactly The fact that the only connection to DP is copying your Pokemon over and sending items down...
-
Exactly, but tell that to everyone else lol
-
Yeah I hated that when I used the Cloaking Device in SSBM and had my name pointed at me. Bit annoying :p
-
PBR has a great one player mode, people just expect more nowadays. It's 1Player mode is better than stadium, it just lacks mini games and somehow that makes it much less than what Stadium had. IGN know nothing :p

A Non-Turn based battle system could work, but it'd change the game too much and risk things being dodgy. The arenas are all based on what area you are in and several attacks work differently depending where you are as it is The amount of new Pokémon added is necessary. If they kept the 151 and only used it, the games would be even more stale than they already are. With the new Pokemon there are different strengths, types etc. which brings in more strategy. FRLG originally had you only with the first 151 Pokémon, but that game only got better once you had the ability to go to the Sevii Islands and boom, newer Pokémon were there. Every game, even Mario games add new enemies, sometimes companions...if they don't, they go stale and die. In games such as this, Random Battles are essential. There are many Pokémon with varying statistics that are absolutely random. They have to have Random Battles for it to work, for levelling to work. If they were on screen, you could only have say 5 Pokémon in one area, it limits the rarity, it limits the amount you can battle...its just generally not a good idea. Look at Ranger, it managed to pull it off because there was no variety...you needed them for one thing and one thing only and thats all they were good for, but it still felt really really empty. It needs Random Battles to live They did a 3D RPG adventure with no gyms storyline. Guess what. People constantly bitched and moaned about there being no gyms in it ¬¬ even though many of those said that they wanted a change. The change was good IMO, fresh but people didn't like it As for having 4 moves. Its part of the strategy. Allowing for more will ruin part of the stategical aspect of the games. If you allow for more attacks, the stategy is more diluted and its all the same

Get the official one. You cant go wrong and they aren't hard to find anymore. The third party ones are now known to sketch out as per reports i've seen here and elsewhere

I've been playing F-Zero X a lot recently and I completely agree about the music tracks from SSBM that they used. We need them back...and better!
-
Finally a release date for Paper Mario If they delay Mario and/or Smash Bros to 2008 though...and I dont mean January...that I can deal with but well into it...then I wont be a happy chappy

Literally :P
